Helki Upton

A young lass with an ability she doesn't want to have.

Helki has brown hair that is shoulder length, grey eyes and quite pale complexion. She wears plain T-shirts and hoodies or cardigans along with loosely fitting jeans and a pair of basic free time shoes.  Only part where she expresses true personality are her ever colourful and changing bracelets and earrings. Helki has the aura of not being important and often her name isn't remembered despite of it being slightly unusual.
She looks younger than her actual 19 years of age.

Helki is a girl that fits into most of the descriptions which one would give from a normal girl. She has had decent grades all her life, friends at school and some hobbies. She laughs to appropriate jokes but doesn't know how to deal with darker ones. Helki watches romantic movies and reads sometimes the novels on girl magazines. She feels that books are nerdy, too thick and time consuming.
Helki doesn't really like meeting new people because she feels uncomfortable in new situations and with unfamiliar faces. She always needs someone to guide her or command her.

Helki hasn't known herself to be a shape shifter for a long time. She isn't sure when the skill appeared but she's been aware of it properly for only under a year and still trying to learn and understand it. Helki is a contact shifter and she's size limited, by her knowledge, to animals from about 4 to 6 kilograms.
She prefers no form since she finds shape shifting uncomfortable and useless.

Helki was born as the only child for her parents after them trying for years. She wasn't spoiled that much despite the clear star position she had in her parents' lives. She got aware of her gift completely by accident while visiting her father's work friend and shape shifting into a fat cat of his. The experience of transforming from a human to animal was a bit painful, confusing and scary too. After second time shape shifting changed with a random dog in the park, she decided to avoid anything furry and alive.
When a dead mouse she was carrying to flush it away made her feel the tingly beginning of changing without completely succeeding to happen, she knew she needed help with what ever curse or talent she had. Internet was the way she got into the right place to be taught by the right people to handle her gift.
