Cali Miranno

An introductory teacher at the Academy, she is tough but fair on students, playing to students strengths.

She's naturally short, but she's been known to change her height to intimidate students. Her hair is usually black, and she has brown eyes. She's usually european in race, but she has been known to switch for fun.

She doesn't accept whining or slacking. She tries to make every student want to do their best, but if they won't try she will easily cast them out in the cold. She can be terribly blunt but truthful at times.

She's mainly a human shapeshifter, but she can do other animals to a lesser degree.

For instance, her birds are generally too heavy to fly because she can't lighten the bones enough. She can lengthen her fingernails, but she can't make claws. Her creatures also look somewhat odd.

A teacher since it's inception, no one is quite sure how old she is. It's certainly older than she looks, however.

It is said her family hated that she was a shapeshifter and threw her out as a young child. No one is quite sure if that's the truth or not though.
