Mason needs to feel important and necessary by those around him without that he's never happy. He tends to ruin things for others just to be the shoulder they have to lean on for support, show so much pride in his work that the word humble is not found in his dictionary, and exaggerate achievements and talents in order to be recognized as the best there is.
Mason's emotions are pretty shallow. What seems to be love, affection, joy, compassion, and warmth often has an ulterior motive. Mason can get outraged by small and insignificant matters, however; he will still show no signs of discomfort or aggravation. Instead he will remain cold and unmoved in the face of what would upset a normal person.
Mason also lacks empathy to those he crushes to feel powerful. Because of his self-image Mason is very arrogant and believes that other feel extremely envious of him.
Mason is a pathological liar. Meaning, he has no problem lying coolly and easily. His lies are often impossible to detect and pretty consistent. Unlike most pathological liars, Mason still thinks before he speaks in order to prevent himself from getting caught in a lie.
Mason has a pretty high self-esteem letting little damage or injure it. Keeping this in mind Mason still doesn't appreciate criticism. Reacting to it with anger and violence. Whether it physical violence or verbal tongue lashing.
