Personality

Equipment / Abilities
Absolute Cleaver, the Divine Crusader
A broadsword forged by a Western master of Eastern arts from blessed steel, it can channel the divine wrath of heaven and sear the wielder's foes with a holy fire.
The sword possesses an ability that upon use engulfs the blade in a radiant golden aura, leaving it with a blade made of light nearly twice the size of the original weapon's. For 10 seconds, the swords strikes also deal holy damage and enemies hit with it will be left burning with a divine golden fire animation along their wounds. An extremely rare weapon is drop from a raid in the previous expansion that Mikoto wound up with despite having barely survived a random public raid. While everyone had attempted to obtain it the system's roll granted it to Agan. The weak link of the group from the beginning of the instance, he only narrowly avoided being kicked early on. As it was bound to his account, he was branded him thief by the raiding community, and he was never able to join up with another group without being kicked immediately. Looking back, he feels a great shame for the greed that drove him to covet a weapon he'd only sought to use as a prop.

Bruford The Black's Armor (Incomplete Set)
Bruford was a knight who had braved much evil and darkness in service of a great and benevolent queen long forgotten, later revived as an undead warrior for the malevolent forces he had spent his life fighting. The armor granted to him by his queen was kept in immaculate condition by it's owner even after he was corrupted.
Raid armor from the previous expansion, it boasted high defensive stats and was ideal for tanking, though only when complete. Agan was never able to complete the set, as he was ostracized from the raiding community before he could obtain the gauntlets, leggings and helmet. The pieces he has still provide a decent boost, but his legs are a relatively common set of chainmail and he was content to leave his helmet slot empty to display his character's face.

Shackles of Tarkus
The legendary knight Tarkus was charged with keeping a sword possessed by a demon, these chains were meant to ward off its curse and allow him to continue to battle as a warrior of good.
Agan wears the shackles to fill the empty slot left by his incomplete armor, a bundle bonus that came along with a long term subscription, they net relatively low overall stats but provide a decent resistance to magic. They have a visual effect that leaves the user's arms wrapped in darkness as though they were cursed like the knight in the flavor text.

Hero King's Sheath
Do you have enough swords, King of Heroes?
An April Fool's gag item that grants a small boost to weapon durability. While it can technically be equipped by any class, Blademasters and Heavy Blades have an added visual effect where the sheathed blades' hilts will be identical to their current weapon.

History
The real world is cruel, the things people say bring happiness do not always deliver. Mikoto tested well in school and always managed to rank in the top percentage after tests and a reliable athlete who participated in all sorts of school teams. The whole package, the icing on the cake being his wealthy family. Everything he did and everyone he knew, it all felt so empty and far away. Everything only got worse with time. The fake smiles and the endless small talk, it was a special sort of hell, one he'd brought upon himself. When he was asked what he was into, he would respond with whatever television shows he could think of. There was a numbness, everything was empty. Even Mikoto wasn't sure what he liked, he had nothing that made him feel anything. It was a terrifying thought, one that had him quite depressed. Did he grow up into an adult without ever becoming a person?

Things began to change in his second year of high school, by going through the motions he remained one of the smartest people in his school, and wound up in a rather advanced English course. The teacher, a foreigner himself, had planned his course around fantasy novels. These stories were something that quickly enraptured the young man, an escape from the mundane he had grown to despise so much. Mikoto approached his teacher, filled to the brim with enthusiasm for his newfound hobby, seeking out further reading. He had tried to pick some out on his own, but was overwhelmed by the heavily saturated genre, and wanted a personal opinion. Through that teacher, he found a path to follow as he set out on his journey. Along that journey he took up gaming, of both the traditional and virtual varieties. The ability to completely dive into a fantasy world like Glassedge was exactly the sort of escape he craved, a place where he could become the person he felt he was inside instead of the hollow husk that had wandered through reality like just another cog in the machine.
