Synopsis
"Every problem has a solution. One just has to be mad enough to find it."


Description
Skylar, age 27, stands at 5'4 with a fairly small frame. Despite her small appearance, she's adapted well under the circumstances and is packed with lean muscle from running and fighting her way through circumstances.Her skin is clear and pale and she has naturally bright red hair and amber eyes with long lashes. Her right shoulder is covered in a tattoo of the Scottish Flag crossed with a banner reading the motto of Clan Mackenzie: "Luceo non uro" ("I shine not burn")

She typically wears a pair of glasses when studying on her own but doesn't need them for activities that require less close concentration and so often leaves them tucked into her shirt pocket or on top of her head. She wears her hair in messy ponytails with her bangs hanging around her face. Her clothes mainly consist of button down shirts, shorts, sneakers, ties and scrunched down knee high socks. 



Personality
Filled with curiosity and a need to solve problems, Skylar fancies herself a bit of a scientist, even though she lacks any formal education. She loves reading and studying whatever books she can get her hands on, and then taking whatever crazy idea she managed to get from that book and trying to apply it. She is intelligent, but also mildly eccentric. She is also very proud of her homeland and speaks with a Scottish accent ((listen to that announcer!)). 

In addition, she can be a bit of a rebel. She's not really out to cause trouble, but if she feels that trouble needs to be caused to get a point across she'll happily do so. She really just wants to help people, but usually in ways that are made increasingly more difficult through all the red tape and social classes. 

When not studying, she's out and about "conducting business" or keeping track of her ideas, scientific or not, in a journal, often filling it with recipes for her own wild concoctions and sketches.


Equipment / Abilities
Carries or wears her glasses. 
Carries a leather satchel that contains her journal, pens, a can of spray paint and whatever book she may be reading at the time.
Sometimes carries a large staff she made and taught herself how to use for defense. She's opposed to the use of firearms and so does not carry one although she knows how to handle one if it fell into her hands.

She has a slightly higher degree of knowledge in Science than an average person, due to her studious efforts and constant experimenting. She's only picked up a touch of German during her trek from Scotland and is a somewhat decent fighter--not superb, but she can hold her own if she's being chased down, assuming the chaser doesn't have a huge size advantage.


History
Skylar was born in Scotland a few years before the initial virus outbreak to a family of 5. Her mother was a part-time artist/stay at home mother of 3 daughters and her father was a Doctor. She was the oldest daughter and loved taking care of her little twin sisters and playing with them while watching her mother paint. It took a little extra time for the virus to hit Scotland, but when it hit it was like a plague. 7 at the time, Skylar was given charge of her sisters, who were by then 4, while her father tried to heal the sick and her mother stayed behind to support him. 

Her first stop was an Emergency Shelter set up in Glasgow where they only stayed for a couple years. During this time, her sisters fell ill with the virus and had to be kept in the Ward in hopes that a cure would come along. Skylar was moved to Edinburgh soon after where she stayed until she was 15, keeping herself busy with all sorts of books. Eventually, things began to collapse and she fought her way onto a ship headed toward Denmark. From there she's traveled further down to Wunsch in hopes of finding some place to call home. 

Currently, she's been trying to steal samples of either antidote so that she can tinker away and figure out how to make it herself. Without proper supplies or education, she's really only relying on anything she can steal from a pharmacy, a makeshift lab and old books. She has also taken up a hobby of Guerilla Art.
