Yo, you think that was funny?

The first thing most anyone notices about Saffron is her glasses. They're rectangular, with purple rims, and it's said that she doesn't even take them off when she's sleeping. Otherwise, she's fairly average: 17 years old, 5'2" (give or take) and built like a twig, with dark blue eyes that look almost black. Her hair is short and black; a lot of the time her bangs fall into her eyes, and sometimes she clips them up with a barrette to prevent it. Usually, Saffron wears a hoodie with a devil's trap pattern around the bottom and a tight tank top under it (not that there's much to show off), pairing them with shorts and tights. She also has a lucky charm on a necklace and a scar across her neck, but she refuses to elaborate on how she got either.

She isn't quiet by any means, but she tries not to be too obnoxious. She doesn't get very close to anyone on principle, instead keeping any friends from becoming close by constantly joking whenever anything serious about her past is brought up. Don't tell Saffron she's wrong about anything serious - though she tends to be - or she'll get extremely confrontational. Even though arguments make her extremely uncomfortable, she'll never shy away from one. She loves physical fights too, and sometimes tries to escalate arguments enough to cause one.
It seems like Saffron talks a lot, but it's never about anything serious. The new pop song that came out, the kid a friend likes, what restaurants suck - she'll talk your ear off about it, but immediately gets jokey when something important to her is mentioned even in passing.
She loves showering the few friends she has with affection and tacky overpriced gifts (but she won't explain how she gets the money).

Saffron prefers hand-to-hand fighting over anything, and uses a lot of dirty tricks, like unexpected crotch shots and biting. She's pretty flexible, training herself to be at almost contortionist levels. She has a little magic ability, mostly water based, but very little idea of how to control it. So, to avoid hurting herself, she just leaves that aspect of her abilities alone. Also, she loves using little bombs and glamour tricks to distract her opponent.

Saffron doesn't have much of a history, or at least not that's interesting to tell. She grew up in a rich town with her grandmother, she went to several expensive private schools (they kept kicking her out) and she ultimately graduated high school early. She's never had many friends, or significant others - who has? is what she tends to ask anybody who brings it up. Once, she got into a fight with a gang leader outside school, but she acts like it isn't a big deal.
Sometimes she wonders about her parents, and why her g'ma's never so much as mentioned them. Secretly Saffron thinks they were famous adventurers who got lost somehow, and she's taken it upon herself to find them and bring them back. Saff is willing to bet that she worried her g'ma by taking off like this, but she tries not to think about it.
