Yumi Ueda

A gentically and cybertronically enhanced young girl trying to find her place in the world.

Her birth given characteristics have changed over the years, but naturally she was born with dark brown hair and hazel eyes. Over time she has grown into her athletic body, standing at 5'7". Due to genetic alterations, her left arm from the elbow down has been altered. The flesh and blood now replaced with cold steel and sleek design. She has the ability to take pills provided by her parents that can change the color of both her eyes and hair, but regularly she has taken a liking to both being a neon green.

Her choice of clothing can vary from combat clothes to her everyday choice of casual attire. Sometimes she must sacrifice comfort and style for versatility. She had never been much for frilly dresses and pastel colors since she was a child, so clothes designed for stealth, speed and agility are no problem for her.

Despite being part machine, she still has her human mind, body and soul. Unlike most sci-fi movies, she isn't some lack luster stone cold person. She actually has a wide range of emotions. Her head is just the same as any other 18 year old girl, if anything the enhancement she was given has made her slightly more immature, becoming more frivolous with her activities. Yumi has become quite the thrill seeker, but to a reasonable extent so it does not interfere with her training. Determined, if she sets her mind on something it will get done.

When she isn't training, Yumi has a witty and level headed demeanor. She likes to tease, but it only shows that she likes your company. Also, when it comes to her hobbies (which she wouldn't share with just anyone) she can be pretty obsessive.

The abilities that she harnesses are strictly derived from her genetic enhancements.

Cybertronic arm: Not only does this heighten her fighting skills, it is equipped with multiple utilities.
- Lock pick fingertips
- Energy Centralizer in the palm, allowing her to generate deadly balls of electricity.
- Wireless Communicator , much like a built in cell phone and gps system.

Enhanced Visual Optics: Indistinguishable from any other eyes.
- Target Analyzer , Can examine and analyze targets in and out of combat.
- Enhanced Visual , much greater than any humans possible vision, colors and objects are more vivid.
(This was created for no specific reason when applied to combat, it was more a gift for Yumi since she was born with bad eyesight.)

To be honest, her younger years weren't very different than any other financially advanced family. The only thing she didn't have in common with most of the other private school children was that her relationship with her parents was beyond well. They did spend plenty of time in the office, her father being a head CEO of The Tokyo Medical & Scientific Advancement Facility and her mother being one of the head experimental scientists. They tried very hard to spend as much time as they could with their only child, losing their first during complications at birth. Cherishing their baby girl they made sure she grew up with all the things she would need and more. During her years in private school she was trained in various forms of Martial Arts and took on responsibilities as various sport club and team leaders. Focusing on athletics for the most part, he bad eyes and need to wear glasses was much of a hassle.

It just so happened that her mother and fathers company had recently been working on a new form of human advancements. An optics unit was their first to be completed. This was installed within their daughter as not only an aid for her to better her eye sight, but an instruction from the head of the company to test their new invention. Working fabulously and having minimal side effects, they considered the optics unit a success.

Not more than a month later she was approached with the idea of a cybernetic arm unit. She was convinced it would make her stronger, and that it would further her parents success and research. Loving and trusting them, she went through risky surgery to have the product affixed to her. It hasn't been long since her second advancement had been installed and she is trying to get used to living life as normal as she can be. But the "physical" therapy and strange forms of testing that she is being submitted to is starting to make her wonder what really is going on.
