Jason may not look it, but he's a studious guy who respects his elders. He tends to try and act boyish and rough, but in reality, he's a bit of a goody two shoes who doesn't appreciate people being rude or crass. He tries to keep that part of his personality under everything though, because it's just a little bit embarrassing. Jason tends to be a bit of a pushover and gets pressured a lot by his school friends. That's why he got the tattoos, because he was pressured to. The same reason is applicable to the reason as to why his ear was pierced.
However, he is able to relax and have fun once in a while, when he feels safe around you. He'll loosen up and joke (although they may be fail jokes, haha), and attempt to look carefree. He's loyal to the point where it's just a tad bit scary, but hey, at least he's loyal. Jason also tends to be overprotective of people, especially those he holds dear to himself, like his sister.
Jason was born into a happy family of three on March 13th, 1996. His sister, Marissa, was two years older than him, and adored him very much. She practically raised him by herself, as their parents were a bit loose and too carefree, and didn't really know how to raise a child. So he stuck with Marissa, and they became the best of siblings. Jason looked up to his sister, and soon, as he grew up, became incredibly protective of her once she started going out with men.
He first realized his tendency to get overprotective of his sister when he was eleven, and his sister, at age thirteen, got her first boyfriend. At first the guy was nice to Jason, and Jason back to him, and everything was fine. Jason hadn't understood what the guy was doing with his sister, until he caught them kissing outside their apartment, and his world crashed down. His sister, that he'd loved and respected, doing such...such lewd things with a guy! Jason just..just went mad then and there. He became obsessed with making sure that she did not injure herself, nor get hurt by the things the guy said or did.
Since then, whenever his sister got a new boyfriend, he'd research the guy furiously, finding out all there was about them. He then judged whether or not said boyfriend was "worthy" enough for his perfect sister. If they were, he'd grudgingly watch from afar. If they were not, he'd confront them, and try to force them to break up with her, lest they hurt her instead. Jason's version of worthy was that the guy would have to be studious, kind, and careful. However, his sister, like his parents, lived on the wild side, and often dated boys that were rough and tough. So Jason often disapproved of them. To make up for his parents' carefree lifestyle, Jason himself became the mature and studious boy of the family, trying to keep them from veering off the right track. His one 'imperfection,' in his opinion, is that he is homosexual. Jason views that as something that is irregular and an annoyance, as he found that he himself was attracted to some of his sister's particular exes. He still beats himself up for it today, often refusing to believe in his sexuality.
