Selfish and self-absorbed, Eli has little consideration for the people around him (excluding his friends—the cool, the chic, and the popular).  
  
  Born with a silver-tongue and an attractive face, Eli was made to stand before a camera—destined to exist in a world of bright lights, beautiful people, and late-night, invite-only parties. But despite the glitz and the glam (which he loves and adores), Eli is a lazy and irresponsible young man, who's habits (being late, being hungover, being drunk, etc) have sent him (and his agency) to the brink of disaster.

Ellison Reid is the youngest of three children and the black sheep of the herd. Where his older brothers were studious, talented, and remarkable individuals (each achieving a long list of merits), Ellison is lazy, uninspired, and hopeless. He spends his days reading comic books, watching television, or lounging by the pool. He has no real aspirations and seems perfectly content with sponging off his parents until his last breath. 

But then, one day, by chance, Ellison's life was redesigned. 

Scouted for his good looks, Ellison went from being the son of a wealthy businessman to being the face of Burberry's new summer campaign. He signed contracts after contracts, went on to take small movie roles, and prepared himself for a life of exalted fun and parties. He was living the high-life and, for a while, it would seem that Eli had, at long last, learned a thing or two about responsibilities. 

Until, of course scandal threatened to hit the press.

Pictures after pictures of Eli's discretions filtered into the mail and, his father, not wanting a scene or a smear campaign, paid off the tabloids. He did everything he could to keep the press from getting hold of gossip. 

But the problems were endless. Irresponsible and unreliable, Eli had grown to be a disappointing reminder to his parents. Unable to persuade their younger son to "shape up and clean up," his father, a stern man, finally brought the iron curtain down. As the president of the company, he banned Eli from company grounds. He rejected all future job offers for his son (something that Eli's agent had declared to be business-suicide). And he did it without hesitation. His worthless, no-good son had to be taught a lesson: Either learn to be an adult or be treated like a child.

Of course, to the public, Ellison wasn't "dropped" from the agency. He has merely decided to focus on his education. Right, education.
