Nixie Baader

Drawn out like circles on the pavement.   Flowing free like the water, Nyxie can be a hard one to predict.  Her personality can range from being carefree and go with the flow to terrifying and thrashing like the sea in a raging storm.  It can be difficult to push the female's buttons as she usually seems so aloof that nothing could ever bother her.  Seeming to live in her own little bubble, the dolphin shifter can seem over excited and hyper about many things.  She isn't the type to enjoy being or seeing others upset so she does all that she can to avoid such situations. 

At times the German female can seem overbearing or clingy just because of her attachment to people.  She loves being around others and hates being alone; she is the type to prefer crowds than the solitary library.  Being ever talkative, being around others allows the female to communicate with those that are more of her birth appearance.  Of course, she wouldn't be Nyx is she weren't naive.  She is gullible , believing just about anything she is told, and is very easy to persuade into doing things.  She can come of as over trusting with others because of this and her kind nature makes her very easy to take advantage of or walk all over.

In simplest terms.   Bubbly, hyper, friendly, outgoing, lively.

Wind & Waves.   Rostock was nice place to grow up, but seeing as Nyx didn't travel far beyond there, it was the only place she had known at the time. Nixxie Baader is an only child, yet at the same time she's not.  She is the only child between her mother and her missing father, though she does have other siblings when her mother remarried.  The white haired female never knew her father, but her mother had told her of how great he had been; how caring and nurturing he was and just how he ways always so calm and peaceful.  According to her mother, the last that was known of her father was that he was traveling to the south pole to research the aquatic life down there, or at least so she was told.

As she grew older, Nyx noticed a depressed haze that seemed to follow her mother around.  Though it broke her heart to do so, the young child urged her mother to go out and find someone.  Her mother was reluctant to do so, but eventually she followed her daughter's suggestion.  There weren't many men that ever entered their home, but the one her mother met with, a marine biologist from a nearby aquarium, he was the one that came over most and ended up staying with them.  The man was more than aware of his 'daughter's' gifts and happily took her to his place of work just to watch her interact with the creatures there.  The animals seemed much happier and healthier after Nyx started visiting them.

Eventually, Adam, her mother's now husband, got her a part time job at the aquarium.  She wasn't allowed to do much without a degree, but being able to help feed the creatures as well as doing various other tasks.  When her mother married, Nyx also got 3 other siblings, children that Adam had had from a previous marriage.

Tides & Turns.   After graduating, Nyx had looked towards college and had gotten a scholarship to Postrema City College.  Enthusiastic about pursuing a career in marine biology, following both her biological and step father.  With Adam and her mother's help, she was able to rent out an apartment near the water as well as getting a job at a local pet store.  Before leaving, her mother gave her a necklace telling her that her father wanted her to have it when she were to move away from home, that it was a way to keep her safe.  From that point on, she refused to let the charm out of her sight, but being the type that necklaces got in the way, she had converted it to something that was a bit more workable for her.

Random Fact.   Nyx can be very OCD with just about anything.  If something feels out of place or dirty, she will start messing with things until everything feels right.

Markings.   Scar-like markings on her neck that almost seem to resemble gills.

Tattoos and Piercings.   Her bellybutton is pierced and she actually converted her pendant into a bellybutton ring, seeing as a necklace usually got in the way.  So now, she has a lovely peridot dragon bellybutton ring; don't tell her mother though, she would kill her if she found out.
