Synopsis
The Falconer:: A Cursed Prince who saved everything but what he loved the most.

Description

Name: Godfrey Morgenstern
Age: Twenties
Gender: Male
Height and Build: Six-foot, one-inch/Lightly muscular
Eye Color and Hair Color: Burnt Black and Pale Gray
Defining Marks: Two scars- one over each of his shoulder blades

Personality
Personality:
Maybe at one time Godfrey was as noble as his stature and title implies, but over time his personality corrupted. He didn't become twisted and gnarled like a root of an old tree, but instead understood that the world was more about the gray than the black and white. He is eloquent, studious, well mannered, and imposing- but while he can be brilliantly charming he has a tight hold on his survival. Only one things matters and this saving what has been lost and he won't lose the war or his life until it comes true.

Yet Godfrey is far from desperate as he will try to uphold the law in all his doings even if he manages to twist it to better suit the situation- but one must know this: he will never ever give up.

Equipment / Abilities
Equipment:
-Weapons: a bow made of the blackest wood in the Schwarzwald, and a quiver filled with matching arrows- one coated blood of the Falsche Konig. a set of throwing knives that can be held in one's hand if need to be used in a martial manner.
-Armor: a dark robe that billows out behind him, thick gloves that still allow him to be quite ambidextrous, high boots with barely any sole, and dark leather all about his form- nothing heavy
-Other: a blood soaked crown and small pieces of paper to write letters on
Skills:
Diplomacy, hunting, tracking, archery and falconry. Is also extremely agile and an extremely high leaper- this comes from his bones being hollow as his body was meant for flying.
Ability:
FALKE is his a a part of him just as his arms and legs are, but they aren't so connected that the falcon isn't its own entity. Godfrey can see through the falc0n's eyes, talk to the falcon a somewhat telepathic manner, and sense things that he usually couldn't through the bird's senses. The falcon is powerful in itself- born from magic and Godfrey's wings its' attacks seem a bit more painful, its talons a bit stronger, and its flight faster than any other in its kind. It also seems to hold an odd sentient conscious that speaks to Godfrey often- and it is quite the sarcastic one.

History
Once Upon a Time-

In a kingdom high above the ground below- set on mountains and even with the sky- was a race of peoples that were proud, noble, and philosphically brilliant. They were winged- known as the Falke- and knew only the skies around them and nothing of the forested ground below or the pitiful mortals that existed there. In this kingdom existed a great King and his beautiful Queen and their son Prince Godfrey Morgenstern. He was engaged to a beautiful priestess and powerful user of magic and would soon take the throne from his father as they retired and let the wind take them as it pleased.

Yet the upon the eve of his ascension an odd visitor came to their great palace in the sky- he offered up a powerful crystal that would assure the Falke their continued rule for countless centuries to come. But like all wonderful deals this one came with a price- Prince Godfrey would have to beat the man in a duel. 'And what if I lose?' The prince asked. 'Well' began the wingless man. 'I would own your kingdom and do as will with it- and your wife would be my wife. Of course I would allow you one favor with her before I cast you out. But do you really think you will lose powerful Prince of Falke?' It was true- Godfrey was the best fighter in the kingdom and there was little chance he would lose.

Sadly enough he did- -

The wingless man used trickery and dodged the Prince's first charge only to face his back- and without a breath he chopped Godfrey's wings from his back. No one had ever seen a move like this before as their wings were sacred. And so the man won- and claimed the kingdom as his own only to turn all its denizens to stone well all except the prince's betrothed. The prince remained unaffected by the spell as he was no longer Falke.
As per the human man's deal the prince's bethrothed did grant him one last favor- she used what little magic she had left to change Godfrey's wings into a bird- one that was always loyal and faithful.  The man saw this and was enraged that she would give him such a gift and cast the prince down to the forest below as he then stole the woman away to make her his queen. From that day forward the kingdom of Falke was rulled by the Falsche Konig.

Yet Godfrey wasn't going to let his beloved be defiled by that dastardly man, or his kingdom remain nothing but stone and so he decided to trek through the forest and up the mountain. It was a perilious journey but he was armed with his falcon- he so rightfully named Falke- and the weapons he scrounged from the many dead in the forest. He would come to learn the art of hunting and tracking from gypsies that travelled about the forest- and inevitably he would hear of the true nature of the Falsche Konig. Once the man had ruled the land below but had been cast down for being a liar and practinoner of dark magics. So he had covered the world in his dark forest and set his eyes on the one kingdom he had yet to rule.

So if Godfrey killed him- not only would he set free the world above but also the one below.

It was a long and ardous journey but he made many friends along the way, learned many secrets, carried many messages, and hunted many a prey- until he was no longer truly a prince. When he reached the palace again he found his betrothed shakled to the Falsche Konig and that enraged Godfrey so that it only took one arrow to fell the evil man. It would be the same arrow he would pluck from the man's cruel heart and return to his quiver. That arrow would be imbued with magical powers- dark magics but powerful.
The people of the sky kingdom were saved, his betrothed was saved, and the world below was free from the nasty forest that consumed it all- and yet Godfrey was not saved.

Cast out from the Falke due to his wingless nature- he found himself without hearth or home to call his own- so he did what most men do in his situation he made his own destiny. Godfrey went on countless other adventures after that and yet the most perilous of them all he had yet to encounter- -
