Synopsis
The cute loli~princess with shadows in her pretty eyes...

Description
Charlotte Butler looks like your normal girl at a first glance, with her golden blonde hair that cascades down her back all the way to curling under her bust. The hair itself is a naturally wavy curl & and she has bangs that hide (what she thinks is) a big forehead. Her eyes are a cerulean blue but sometimes they look chocolate brown with gold specks in them, and hiding these eyes are a thick pair of eyelashes. Charlotte is on the shorter side of tall for fifteen, and most certainly on the curvy side of the spectrum. She isn't what the media would consider "fat" but she's not model thin like the other girls she knows.

Charlotte passionately (and somewhat obsessively) adores and follows the Japanese Lolita street fashion. She dresses according to its rules and regulations on a day to day basis; saving her money to buy some of the expensive overseas items or sewing some of her own creations. Of the different subtypes, she dresses in sweet and casual (casual nice to pull off at school without getting too many stares) and a bit of classic. Most of the time you will find her wearing a blouse and cardigan with a fuller skirt, tights or stockings and a pair of Mary Janes. Of course there are variations on this, but it's the norm and what Charlotte loves.

Personality
Charlotte is a really sweet girl. Described as strange in the brain, but a compassionate girl. She has a genuine concern for her friends, and the world around her, trying her best to keep everyone she cares for happy (but sometimes throwing her own happiness on the way). She has a great love for animals, (stuffed plushies and real ones) and the life of her backyard's trees and flowers. She tends to them in her free time.

Charlotte is a sensitive soul, and a little thin skinned, you could say. She doesn't stand up for herself as often as she should, letting the bullies tromp her and then get the best of her. Her self confidence is low, making her unhappy with who she is most of the time. Her self image is also low from the abuse she's gotten being bullied for so long. The little unhappiness gets her down many a day, and she has a mild depression because of it.

This lolita is quirky. She loves shoujo anime and can read or watch it for hours on end. Her domestic housemaking takes up much of her time, but she's really good at it. Baking, cleaning, cooking and sewing make her quite happy. Of course, she's not some dumb chit, she loves to read Shakespeare and Jane Austen and Lewis Carroll. As said above, she enjoys spending time outside; both tending to her garden and taking black and white photographs of it. Charlotte develops those photographs at school, loving the art of it. Of course, shopping and boys are obsessions as well! And sweets~! <3

History
Charlotte is a good storyteller, although this is one that she doesn't tell often. So grab a cup of your favorite tea and take a seat, this tale may take awhile... Charlotte remembers a once upon a time when life was simpler and easier, reminding her of cupcakes and milk, balloons and songs and smiles. Her mother (bless her soul), designed rococo costumes and blogged from home, while her father worked at the publishing company five minutes downtown. Her household was so stable, but of course that's once upon a time for a reason.

There had to be a poisoned apple. It came in the form of a rare heart disease that Charlotte's mother was diagnosed with when Charlotte was only two. There were many hospital visits and therapies. For awhile, they seemed to go well, and the life at home went back to normal. It was another year before the disease popped its head again. There wasn't much the doctors could do this time around. Her mother passed away right before Charlotte went into preschool.

Poor Charlotte was scarred by the loss. Who wouldn't feel empty and disconnected if a special person was lost to you. She emotionally had to grow up very quickly from that and most of the other small ones who were in the classroom with her couldn't understand that. Except for one. The tiny one with the glasses too big for his face, who on some days was quiet and polite, and on others couldn't sit still. They became quick friends, and that friendship has been one of the few things that has kept her stable with she was diagnosed with depression and the same heart disease that killed her mother. It's hasn't popped up in the past few years, but it's always lurking there in the shadows... Always lurking...
