[NPC NOTICES. Date - December 11th. Weather - Windy, Cold. ]

The bell echoed throughout the League, signalling the beginning of rounds for the League Apprentices. The previously empty, narrow hallways on the dorm buildings were immediately swarmed with League green uniforms.

"Things like this are way too troublesome," Soek let out a soft, low groan. His greenish-blue jacket fit him perfectly, but hung over his pants instead of neatly tucked into his pants like the others. His uniform pants were crumpled since his roommate had quit the League and he'd been too lazy to iron for the past few days.

Soek sauntered down the halls, allowing himself to be enveloped by the contrasting rushing crowds. He tugged gently on his pyvinium necklace, making sure it was well-hidden under his long-sleeved shirt. It was quite cold today, almost Christmas, so it wasn't as if he minded.

Maia shivered in her coat and saved her hands in her pockets. The coat was warm enough, maybe too warm, but it was the League that gave her those shivers. Cold drafts billowed in from the door that stood ajar a few meters away. Footsteps vibrated along Maia's feet. They grew more forceful and louder, and were accompanied by shouts and laughter. There was a flow a people coming from the opposite hall, and going out the door. They walked and chattered away.

Soek slowly ambled down the stairs, others rushing and tripping over eachother in their haste. The crowd abruptly turned down a more narrow hall, leaving Soek alone in the previous one. His lips parted in a soft sigh, deep indigo eyes fixed on the thick, metal door that stood at thee end of said hall.
The League's little plaything, that's all he'd been since they'd taken him in. He was prohibited from going about rounds like others, his 'rare gift' would interfere with the healing. No. They had a special room for him. Special cases that normal apprentices wouldn't quite be able to manage, cases he could take on due to his heightened resistance to pain.
He reached out a sun-kissed hand, unlocking the door and slipping inside, before locking it behind him. There were few others who would heal with him, though deep inside he still felt alone.
Shrugging off all feelings of negativity, he doffed his jacket and crumpled it into a ball, throwing it unto a semi-broken chair in the corner. Soek stretched his arms, quickly taking in his surroundings. Two women and a burly, bearded man with severe burn injuries. The morning seemed to have started off quite busy, at least for him. There were days when he'd sit for hours without anything to do. Sadly, this didn't seem as if it would be one of them.

Maia closed her eyes. She sighed, the inner part of her eyelids couldn't block out the sound and cold of the League. Why bother trying anymore? She thought it more of a statement than a question. These dreary mornings in the League were her most feared, and the sights lingered in her eyes even when she slept.

She meandered along the wooden floor, following the lines between the planks of wood. Her black hair shrouded her face, and her footsteps echoed through the empty halls. Her place was not here, and it was not now.
