Within the world of NOW, anything is possible. To be a fighter, dueler, to use magic, and to even make a home for yourself. It was the most popular game ever to be released in the world for virtual reality MMORPG form.....the players though, just didn't expect they weren't playing 'just a game' anymore.......
For years, mankind has always used technology in different ways. From making phones, to sending messages. To even help saving lives when it was hard, while even creating means of entertainment for everyone else. The major form of it, was the concept of Virtual Reality Gaming. MMORPG's. They where the most popular forms of game that had been released in the whole world for everyone to use. In this case, a new one was making its way into the world. New Online World, or NOW for short. It was created with codes unlike used any other game before. It was more advance, more wonderful. The people who waited for it, saved up with everything they had just so they could have it. In a week of the release, almost ten thousand people had signed up into the game with their own characters. Stats. And even what class or race they were.
Then, something horrible happened. Within just a few days after a great event for all the new beginners like the first thousand came before, a message was sent out. One of a video, of a faceless man in a lab coat. This was what his message was: "Life...it has always meant everything to the human race. We strive to live in the moment, to never waste a moment of it. Yet when games came, our humanity began to slip, and I noticed that. We decide to not care about our mortal feelings or way of life. Rushing head first into situations that we knew that would kill us. That is why, I decided to have a special event for all of you. As of right now, all of you, who have logged in, are not locked in the game. Unable to log out. Unable to even revive yourself. For if you die; you are dead in the real world. The NerveGears you all wear, will send a electric shock through your brain. Killing you within fifteen seconds of your in-game character's death. This....is a test. To see if any of you still have the humanity you have left inside. If you want to leave, you must beat the game. Fight the final boss, on the last level of the labyrinth. Collect the item that drops from it, and you have beaten the game, and freed everyone. Good luck, fellow gamers."
With that said, every single person that were logged in, every single being that were listening to that message, finally knew the truth. They were stuck, and they could die.

Rules
Please follow the basic rules of WTFRPG as well as the understanding that everyone is to be treated with respect while RolePlaying. If you want to have your character act like a total asshole while IC, then go for it. But if your going to be that way OOC wise and out of the RP, then please, try to keep that side of you inside.
No Godmodding or Autohitting allowed. That is a major thing everyone hates when they are role playing. Even in a setting where there is fighting involved.

When you are making a post, I like if you can put near the bottom, which level and area your character is at. It doesn't have to be great, just to give people a heads up so they know where you are at is all.

Background
A few things first. If you know the anime or manga Sword Art Online, then you have a understanding of what this RP's setting is going to be like. Basically, the world is set just like it. Where there is a floating city with at least one hundred floors of a labyrinth and such to go through. The higher you go, the higher the levels rise. From the bottom of the first level, to the very top to where the hundredth would be at. If you are confused of the systems or what to expect, then here is a little bit of info for people that needs help. Sword Art Online Wiki. Now a bit of information about this world.
The Floating City in the game is named, ALfheim. In honor of the second season of the series.
The very first level of the castle is of course known as the Town of Beginnings.
NPC's will be mostly played by the Roleplayers themselves when making a post about a NPC. For Boss NPC's, only a selected few will be allowed to play. Either a person I put in as a mod to watch out for the RP, or the roleplayer who wished to have gone through with the mission they picked, may be allowed to control the Boss NPC as well.
Guns are NOT allowed at all in the game. It will fit just like with SAO where people used bladed weapons.
Like ALfheim though, I will allow at least three race classes for people to use. More will be explained in the Character section.
This game uses a combination of magic and physical attacks. So it is possible, for your character to use mainly magic base attacks then physical. But its a must, that magic users have a bladed weapon that is useful for them.
Type of classes for what your character can be, are wide arrange. I will put up a short list of what I could think of in the Character section more.
The concept of status bar and name will be the same like in the game, with the health bar able to seen if look at, as well as their name next. Even the concept of able to bring up the menu is possible and such.
If you want, you can also use the sword skills mentioned in the series or even make your own original ones if you like. Just as long as they fit with the storyline and concept of the game.
Characters
It is now to get down with the character concepts, races, and classes. Again, refer to the link I put above if you are a little confused at what type of weapons you want to use, since it will mostly be stated on there. As for types of classes, I will put down a bit few of what classes I do know off hand. If there is any other classes I missed that could work, then just put it up in the OOC thread and I'll put it up here for others to see. I'll separate the races, classes, and some extra information needed to be known when filling out your profile.
Races
Humans;; Most basic of races. The humans are the main force of the world. If you know humans, you know they come in different shapes and sizes, but its always the same with them. For the racial bonus of Humans, is that they have a level two bonus of either of their status they start out with. Dex, Strength, Accuracy, and so on.
Beastmen;; This is where it gets interesting. The Beastmen are what they are say, they are a race of people with animal like qualities. From horns to make them look demonic, to wings that make them look like angels. So on and so forth. They could be full anthros, or even just have animal ears or tails. A nickname for the Beastmen are Bessa's. When it comes to Bessa's, their racial bonus is their physical abilities. They have the ability to start out with ONE type of physical ability that is at level two.
ALF;; Also known as Fae's, are basically the Elves, Fairies, Nymphs, and so on and so forth. When it comes to ALF's, their racial bonus is that all have some type of magical enhancement of ONE type of magic they can start out with at level two.
Classes
Swordsmen -- From one hand to two handed. Duel Bladers to even Lancer types.
Priest -- The holy men and so forth. Also known as Clerics.
Fighter -- The types that use more of Maces or close up range type blades.
Rouge -- You know what these are, uses daggers or short swords mostly.
Mage -- Uses a spear or sometimes a rapier while using magic mainly.
Monk -- Fighter type, that can use abilities with their hands besides their blades.
Dragoon -- These are swordsmen, but they have a mix of magic with using long spear or lance weapon more.
Beast Tamer -- Special magic and weapon type like the Dragoon, they raise one pet when they start out that helps them out.
Extra
Please have the following within your profile: Name, Age, Gender, Level, Class, and History. I also like for you to list in the abilities and equipment what weapon your character have, as well as which skills or what skills or abilities they can do. Please have them fit your character's level rank. Don't want people with something you would gain at level ten, for a first time user and everything.
Have a image or a written description in the profile, so we know what your character looks like.
For everyone here, who are starting out the first time in the RP, your only allowed to have a character that is up to level six. If you want it to be higher, then try leveling up your character's experience IC wise.
Any classes mentioned here, are just some I can think at the top of my head. If you have one you want to ask me about, just tell me about in OOC then.
All names that you create for your characters, either need to be their real name, or at least a different name. No usernames like FoolBuddy or such. Only names. Could have a last name, if you wish to.
