On September 1, 2011, new students anxiously wake up, excited for the beginning of their first year of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Some are pure blood and half blood wizards who have been anxiously awaiting going to Hogwarts for their entire lives, hearing stories from their parents and siblings. Others are Muggle-born, having only just received their letters recently and are just beginning to learn about this new world they have just entered.
They make their way to Kings Cross Station in London, board the train...starting their journey...

In the southern part of Spain a witch named Mariposa is gaining power and followers. She has her own plans for the wizarding world and has her sights set on the various wizarding schools as a start, Hogwarts included. She plans to slowly gain more influence in the magical world to get what she wants. What is that you ask? Only she knows, but it can't be good for anyone but her...
In the northern part of England, another witch named Magdallana has started building an army. She has her own plans
against her old friend Mariposa. She wants to stop her and use her plans for her own gain. By gaining influence with the right people in the Ministry of Magic, she acts as more of protector, though her plans aren't what they appear to be...
This small rivalry between the witches has grown stronger over the years, but nothing has come to blows. They both want to stay under the radar of the wizarding world, for now...
Rules
+Grammar, Spelling, and Punctuation! Use them! PLEASE! .
+A two paragraph minimum is really not too difficult to do, so please try.
+No god-modding. Most other things are all right with me. Ask me about it if you have any questions about this rule...
+Please respect me, others, and the rules here.
+I reserve the right to add, subtract, multiply, or divide any
additional rules as I feel fit, though don’t worry I will not take the
derivative of any of them. If I do change any of them, I'll let people

Background
All first-years at Hogwarts must take seven subjects: Transfiguration,
Charms, Potions, History of Magic, Defense Against the Dark Arts,
Astronomy and Herbology. Flying lessons (on broomsticks) are also
compulsory.
Gryffindor
values bravery, daring, nerve, and chivalry. Its emblematic animal is the lion
and its colours are scarlet and gold. Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington, aka Nearly Headless Nick,
is the house ghost. The founder of the house is Godric Gryffindor. Gryffindor
corresponds to the element of Fire. The common room is located in one of the
highest towers at Hogwarts, the entrance is situated on the seventh floor in
the east wing of the castle and is guarded by a portrait of The Fat Lady. She
permits entrance if given the correct password which is changed numerous times
throughout the school year.
Hufflepuff,
founded by Helga Hufflepuff, is the most inclusive among the four houses,
valuing hard work, patience, loyalty, and fair play rather than a particular
aptitude in its members. Its emblematic animal is the badger, and Black and
Yellow are its colours. The Fat Friar is its ghost. Hufflepuff corresponds
roughly to the element of earth. The Hufflepuff Dormitories and common room are
located somewhere in the basement, near the castle's kitchens. It can be
accessed through a barrel with a secret way to get it open and is described as
being a cosy and welcoming place with yellow hangings, fat armchairs, and
underground tunnels that lead to the dormitories, which have perfectly round
doors, similar to barrel tops.
Ravenclaw
values intelligence, knowledge, and wit. Its emblematic animal is the eagle,
and its colours are blue and bronze. The ghost of Ravenclaw is the Grey Lady, who was the
daughter of Rowena Ravenclaw, the house's founder. Ravenclaw corresponds
roughly to the element of air. The Ravenclaw common room and dormitories are
located in a tower on the west side of the castle. Ravenclaw students must
answer a riddle as opposed to giving a password to enter their dormitories.
Slytherin
house values ambition, cunning and resourcefulness and was founded by Salazar
Slytherin. Its emblematic animal is the serpent, and its colours are green and
silver. The Bloody Baron is the
house ghost. Slytherin corresponds roughly to the element of water. The
Slytherin Dormitories and common room are reached through a bare stone wall in
the Dungeons. The Slytherin common room is a long, low underground room
(probably under the Hogwarts lake, thus Slytherin house's affiliation with
water) with rough stone walls and round greenish lamps hanging from the
ceiling. At one point in time, it only allowed pure blood wizards, but has since changed to allow students of any heritage.
Characters
The Invisible Pure-Blood - He has so many siblings that he is often forgotten. It took a while for any sort of magical ability to show with him, so many thought he was a squib, but once he finally showed some magic ability, he just faded back into the background. He does not mind not being in the limelight, but looks forward to getting away from his large family. (taken)
The Nervous Pure-Blood - Most students have heard of her father. It was a big scandal a few years ago. He was in Azkaban for a crime and her family was shamed. She has been living with her grandparents ever since, always getting looked down on for being his daughter. She can't wait to escape to Hogwarts, but is also afraid that students will hate her because of her dad. (taken)
The Destructive Half-Blood - He had no doubt in his mind that he would be attending Hogwarts. He obviously has strong magical abilities, he can't control it yet. He manages to break, explode, or destroy things without trying. He is excited to finally get his power under control and be the powerful wizard he know he has to be. (taken)
The Competitive Half-Blood - She always has to be the best at what she does. Due to her muggle parent, she went to muggle primary school and was the top of everything. She expects the same thing at Hogwarts. Everything is a competition to her and she is excited to be on an even playing field with the rest of her competition. (open)
The Eager Muggle-Born - He just found out he was a wizard. He has done everything to find out as much as he could about the wizarding role. He is very smart and was going to go to a very good muggle school. Because of this, his parents are not too keen on him entering Hogwarts. They would rather him to stay in their world. (taken)
The Odd Muggle-Born - She had never fit into the muggle world and she knew it. She had always dreamed of another place for her to be. When she received her letter, it was the happiest day of her life. Her siblings and parents don't understand, but they know that there was always something different about her. (taken)
Non-specified Female Role - "The Foreign Pure-Blood"(taken)
Non-specified Male Role - (open)
Note: All these characters are starting off as first years and will get older over time, so some of these descriptions will change and evolve as they grow and learn. This also means that they are 11, or just about to turn 12. They have limited magical abilities, as they have never had any lessons. They are all human. If you have an idea for your own character here, PM me...Also, PM me if you want to reserve a character...
