Faceless and Nameless
Cool crisp air bites at my unprotected skin.
I focus on the sting hoping to ignore the burn I've begun to know and love.
I grimace and blow out a white cloud, the minty flavor doing nothing to cover the aftertaste.
I take the last few drags staring up at the pitch black sky.
As I toss the remnants to the ground and heave a big see I check my wallet.
No money inside, just a piece of gum and an old condom.
No cigarettes for me this week, maybe the craving won't be so bad?
Who am I kidding, time to borrow money from my friends.
I hate this addiction.
