faq:
levels aren't actually based on game completion. For example, 13lueice is level 11 and he's at 1% of the game complete. The same can be true for anyone further in the game. Some people can be level 30 and beat the game, granted it takes a lot of skill. Usually, the percent of the game completed is +/-10 of their level. So if you're 50% complete, your level can fall between 40 and 60, in most cases.

So, eh, what would be the difference between a hunter and a scout?
Scout - Checks the area, Looks for enemies, essentially a patrol person or a guide; more of a defensive role or a "preventer"
Hunter - Physically does the hunting, trapping, tracking; more of an offensive role
Or at least that's how I would label then.
Hunters could use throwing knifes!
Any class can use any weapon, so the type of weapon isn't an issue. As far as scouts and hunters go, both could have an animal partner. But, again, I see the scouts as guides who know the area and can get some point A to point B. They would also know the language, the plants, the animals, the people, etc. The hunters, on the other hand, might not know all that stuff. They would be experts with tracking, trapping, selling and trading furs, and hunting. I would say that hunters are familiar with animal nature and migrating habits, whereas scouts would have more knowledge of the land, animals, and people in general.
I would say that Lewis and Clark would fit the scout role. The owner of Copper (Fox and the Hound) would be a hunter. Geston (Beaty and the Beast) would also be a hunter.
The roles are close but one is more defensive (scout) and one is more offensive (hunter).

If the delay is too long, feel free to drop this. I do believe I have always warned people that my availability varies from time to time and is heavily dependent on my location.

UPDATES:
The game has started! When you get a chance, please let me know what level you want your character to start at. Also let me know where you want them to be in the game. Meaning, how much of the main quest have they completed (I assume no one is over 80% complete).
Anyway, feel free to post anywhere you like.
