I literally live in the middle of nowhere, as you can kinda see in these pictures. I have a lake behind my house as well as forest on both sides. I live on 107 acres, in case anyone was wondering.
Oh and we have a cabin behind our house in the woods. Father built it with the neighbor's help. The entire thing was built from trees on our land so it hardly cost us anything. Only downside to this is... well, it runs off a generator and it doesn't have running water. Or a legit bathroom.

We have a garden, too so we have a lot of fresh fruits and veggies to munch on throughout the year.

hotpot with one of my best! haha, had to go and fine the pictures that didn't show our faces.
i loooooooove hotpot. it's such a social way to eat. we ordered lamb, beef, and fish (for me). and then a lot of like, random extras (tofu, mushrooms, fried fish cakes, noodles, veggies, etc).
hee, spicy hotpot is the best. <3

seriously, every time i come home from college, i HAVE to make a stop to this restaurant. their noodles are, like, the best. hahaha.
plus, there's, like, no good pho place near my school and.. i hate driving through sketchy sacramento, lolol.

late/comfort dinner with my bestest. this is, like, the best chinese food near my school. it's a little hidden in this off-side plaza, but it's great. plus, it's family-owned. (as are most places near my school, haha).
we had shanghai-styled nian gao (chewy consistency was perfect), qiezi doufu (eggplant and tofu cooked in a special sauce), sour and spicy soup (this translated... ridiculously weird, lawlz).
BUT YES. PICTURES OF FOOD. B/C I LOVE FOOD. hahaha...

jing: Why you post food?! Now I'm going to be thinking about it all day. -_- Especially those cookies. But yes, I live on 107 acres. And mowing is not fun. Literally takes three people on riding lawn mowers a whole day to mow all our grass. Thank gawd for the cornfields and the woods... as both take up a large portion of our land. XD

My boyfriend is in SF today running the NWM (breast cancer awareness!) and he drove down Friday evening. I found this note on the bed when I went to sleep in the room. I was feeling really bad yesterday (physically, lol) and seeing this just made my day.

This is an older photo. Taken before I got my hair dyed a dark mahogany color (you can still see the remnants of my blonder days!) and at the airport with a stuffed animal that went everywhere I did while I was in China! ;D
Airport fashion is all about t-shirts, undone hair, and barely there make-up. Plus, it was too damn early in the morning to be so hyped about... a 12+ hour long plane ride.
Why this photo? Because I can and because I'm worth it, LOL. Really though, I just wanted to reminisce a little about when I still had blonde hair (I have to find those photos... deep, brassy blonde guys... lol). I want to dye my hair again. );
