Yeah. xD; That was always my problem. Finding the links via D&D forums seemed safer, but I never wanted a program so badly that I looked into it too closely and ended up giving all a pass.
EDIT: Made my post. xD Let me know if you see anywhere that needs changes/tweaking. It won't hurt my feelings any. xD

You could always check out any of the "RPG Maker" software. I'll do some digging, I haven't had to make maps in years.
I have a quick question. Does the religion of Helidor incorporate reincarnation into its fate system?
Hmm, reincarnation wasn't part of my original plan. But if enough of you guys are interested in it, or if you feel it could play an important role in our storytelling, then I'm not opposed to working it into the faith.
An argument "for" reincarnation is it helps placate the people. "Maybe in this life you were born into an unimportant role... but if you work diligently and keep the faith, the next life will be better."
An argument "against" reincarnation is that the same thing would encourage daydreaming about, "In my next life, I'll get to do things differently."
Which is to say, I find it interesting either way and it could easily be something that a subsect of the general religious population believes, but isn't necessarily doctrine.

I personally would be more interested in seeing reincarnation worked into the rebels' religious beliefs. It would be a nice way to rally the masses and work against the state religion. After all, someone who believes that they're current actions will gain them a better "afterlife" would be much more likely to go to extremes.
Yeah I just brought it up because it seems like it would give the state religion more of a hold. My character's cult will have kind of heaven like afterlife ideal as apposed to reincarnation and/or fate.
Also on other news I got 95% of my character done just have the extras to fill in and I will make a post. Probably in the tavern because the other two threads are pretty self contained.
Edit: Yay 100% done. Also in case it does get read his visions and voices really are just his Schizophrenia not anything supernatural like he thinks.

He looks great, Shadowmarch! I can't wait to see how everyone interacts with him.
And I'll update the character guide in just a minute, you guys have come up with a lot of new traits to share.
This sounds like an interesting game. Would it be possible to get an update on what the different traits mean? I've read through the OOC trying to figure it out, but it may be nice to have a bit of an update in the overview (or even right here) for all the hair colors and traits.
No problem! I'm afraid that the Edit option for the RP's main page has been funky and isn't allowing me to edit the official character guide, but here's what we're working with so far. Anything with no description next to it still hasn't been claimed:

Are you using Chrome, Knerd? Or what browser are you using? I'll harass alxjvr about the editor bork... it works fine for me in Firefox. >_> I wouldn't want to edit your game without permission though. xD;

I'm on Chrome, yeah. I first had the problem on Friday when I went to edit the page, I actually just assumed that it was a personal Internet loading problem. But it's still happening today too.
I'll give it a shot on Firefox later tonight, hopefully it isn't a big deal.
Nah, I test things on Chrome, so I've noticed the editor issue too, but thought with the latest coding push it might have fixed itself. xD I'll report it. :B

Editor should work in Chrome now, Knerdy. xD

Thanks! I will work on a character. This is a really interesting concept.
Apologies for my disappearance the past few days! I had an interesting weekend... ER visits included. Heh. All is well, though, and I'll be getting back up to speed with things here tonight and tomorrow, I hope.
Also, I thought I'd add to the ongoing list the things that I attributed to Vin in her character sheet, if you think they'll fit with the list you're working on:
Dark auburn hair (not sure if you'd put that under brown or red) -- Observant, notices details
Green eyes -- Quick-thinking, witty
Tanned skin -- Suited for outdoors work, dedicated
Athletic build -- Competitive nature

I didn't know that. But I will try to keep it in mind any time I get squeamish about things around my eyes, I guess. xD (I think that's 99% of why I can't wear contacts. My blink reflex is mighty.)
Glad he's okay, even though I'm sure it sucked a lot. :x

Glad to have you back, Nixie Styx! I've gone ahead and added all those characteristics into our list. It looks like it's growing pretty well.
Hi, uhhmm, is it still okay to join? Sorry for not being able to do anything sooner but June turned out to be unexpectedly busy for me ^^;
I still want to make a messenger if that's okay with you. Is there anything I need to know about the courier system in Helidor?
Join whenever you like! The RP is still in the beginning stages, so we're all moving slowly and getting used to it. Now would actually be a perfect time to jump in.
As long as you limit the couriers to being on foot or horseback, you can pretty much do whatever you like with them.
Sorry I've taken a while to reply Dx I've had a hectic time at home lately, haven't had much of a chance to be online. But all should be good now
Simplicity is key
Ok, I've put up my character's profile. Just let me know if I need to edit anything =3
Oh dear! I haven't been around here in a while, have I?
Anyone else feel like kicking this RP back into life?
I do feel like it, but won't be able to until around September 1st at the earliest. xD;

We'll keep it open so anyone can jump in when they're ready.
