SPACE! The final frontier!

At least, that's the romanticized version of space exploration.

If the state of the outlying Space Station Omicron-119 were any indication, it would seem that the notion of space exploration had vanished years ago. The space station used to be quite vibrant, full of life, lying on the edge of the known universe. It, like the others in its class, one held a great amount of amenities and even housing to suit the ones ready to get out there and explore the great unknown.

..however that was ten years ago.

Today the station floated on the edge of an eternal darkness. The interest in space exploration had vanished since then, as recent advancements in deep-space imagine revealed beyond that to be little to nothing of interest. Maybe an asteroid here, a planet that lost its orbit long ago there, but really nothing worth staying around for. The station was mostly abandoned, save for a few maintenance sort of androids and robotics that kept the place running, and a few people that didn't have the money to leave, but other than that it was just another long-forgotten symbol of the past.

Anyway, there, a guy is busy working on some of the automated systems around the docking area. The ships that came to visit were few and far between, however it was a stable-enough job and he enjoyed his work..
