Small town, big secrets. Tigerkytti & Shara

"Today is the day!", a voice cheerily rang through the hallways of the house as a teenage boy woke up. Richter hopped out of bed, his tail wagging excitedly as he walked to the bathroom. Richter loved mornings. He is always chalk full of energy in the morning, ready to move. Ready to do something. He first grabbed his hat before he opened the curtains, just in case. When he got inside the bathroom, he took it off and preceded to get ready for the day. While brushing his teeth, he always had to be careful not to rub the brush too hard on his canine teeth, or else he would have to buy a new one. Currently, the total number of toothbrushes in the waste basket was the average of two for the week. After brushing, he cleaned his face before he started on his hair. Since his hair naturally stuck up, he had to use a little bit of gel to keep it down to cover his dog ears and his elf ears. He didn't have to completely cover his elf ears since they almost looked human, but he felt like he had to be extra careful with his appearances now. Thankfully, the school allowed hats because it was hard to cover his canine ears with just hair.

The clock on the wall showed that he had half an hour to get ready before running off to his new school. Glad he took a shower last night, he quickly tossed off his clothes for the new ones his mother bought. It was a regular black collared shirt with buttons that was already ironed for him. His pants were a dark navy color and when he slipped them on, he had to use a belt. The pants were big enough so he could move shift his tail but not wag. Rolling up the bottom legs of the pants, he realized he probably looked a bit silly with his neat shirt accompanied with baggy pants. He laughed as he walked down the hall way and saw his reflection in the full length mirror. "Well, at least my shirt looks nice.", he said to himself, not dwelling on his appearance. His attention was quickly grabbed when he smelled something sweet. "Breakfast!", he thought happily to himself as he jumped down the stairs, too impatient to actually walk them.

His mother was just finished making pancakes as her son grabbed a chair. Immediately, Richter grabbed a fork and shoved the still hot pancake into his mouth, syrup getting on his mouth. The overestimated himself as only half the pancake fit into his mouth, while the other half fell back on the plate. "Richter. Show some table manners please.", his mother gently scold. She was 5'2, four inches shorter than Richter. Her face was heart shaped and it was clear who Richter inherited his gentle blue eyes from. Her shoulder length blonde hair was tied back into a bun, giving her a professional look that most doctors had. "Sorry mother. Just so hungry. I didn't eat last night.", Richter apologized with full mouth. His mother gave him a stern look before handing him a napkin. She took a seat next to him as his father came in. Standing at 6'1, it was almost funny to see his parents stand next to each other. Richter's father was a like an older, rougher version of himself. His hair was darker and his eyes were almost black, but his grin was just as kind.

"Good morning son. Ready for today's exciting adventure?", his father asked before shoving a whole pancake into his mouth in the same manner as Richter, which also earned him a stern look from the elf mother. Richter laughed as he finished his plate in record time, resisting the urge to lick his plate. "Yes sir. Speaking of school, I better get going now or I'll be late.", Richter said as he glanced at the kitchen clock. "Alright. If you have your tags and wand then you can go. Remember to be careful now.", his mother reminded. He smiled as he flashed his dog tag and bracelet. On one tag, there is an engraving of the moon, symbolizing his inu heritage. On the other, there is an engraving of the sun with a red gem in the middle, symbolizing 'good' magic and energies. His silver bracelet had a red gem hanging on it, good for conducting magic, which is why he nicknamed it his wand. He grabbed his large black backpack that was stuffed with his supplies, and went off.

His shoes hit the pavement and he started with a sprint. He had to hold on to his hat to make sure it wouldn't fly off as he ran. The sidewalks were mostly empty, with an occasional person here and there. He arrived at the school with a little under ten minutes to spare. He had met the principal yesterday with his parents and knew where his locker was, along with his classes. "I think it's...over here?", Richter muttered to himself, maneuvering around the groups of students standing there talking. "Look at the new kid." "Ha. Look at his pants." "Well, I think he looks cute." "He kind of looks suspicious. Look at that hat." He heard these comments as he arrived at his locker. Though his dog ears were down and under his hat, the students weren't exactly whispering. He unzipped his backpack and started to stuff his supplies inside the small locker.

The beeping of an alarm rang through the room, high pitched and annoying it prompted the soft feminine groan as the red headed girl rolled over and slapped the top of the device, making the electronic cries thankfully cease. Happy that it had stopped, she would nuzzle deeper into her pillow and blankets, not once having opened her eyes as she seemed unwillingly to wake up for the day.

However it would seem another occupant of the room had another idea altogether, as the pure white puppy would lift his head and barked at his sleepy friend from where he was curled up on her bed. When the bark made no difference the puppy would lift himself to all fours before bounding up to the head of the bed where he would proceed to cover the girl's face in puppy drool, his fluffy white tail wagging happily.

"Ack!" She cried out giggling as a hand would find it's way out from under the plush quilt and pushed the puppy away from her face. "Puppy breath!" The girl would finally open her eyes as she rolled over to look to her small white friend, blinking open her meadow green eyes to laughing softly.

"It's time to get up!" The puppy barked at her eagerly, jumping back slightly before grasping onto her blanket and pulling it from her.

"Ok! Ok!" The girl exclaimed laughingly as she would finally sit up before letting out a long yawn, stretching out her arms before slipping off of her bed and padding across the soft carpet over to her flowery dresser. "Your worse then an alarm clock Moonlight!" She stated laughingly as she pulled open several drawers to pull out her clothing for the day, throwing a glance over her shoulder at the white ball of energy. The puppy whom she'd called Moonlight would roll about on her bed before laying down, tail still wagging as he watched her. Shaking her head she would begin to get dressed in her usual style for clothing. Today she'd put on a soft green skirt that draped from her hips down to just below her knees, and a white short sleeved shirt decorated with a variety of soft colored flowers that softly hugged her slender frame. Wandering over to the mirror in her room next she would turn her head and sighed softly as she looked to her distinctly pointed elven ears that protruded from her hair no matter how she wore it. "What do you think I should do with them today Moonlight?" She asked her little friend who blinked up at her from his spot on the bed.

"Show them off!" Moonlight barked in answer, "Your ears are pretty and pointy, like mine!" The puppy spoke with innocent sincerity even as he wiggled his small pointed white ears in a silly manner that made the elven girl laugh, before her face fell again.

"You know I can't do that, everyone already thinks I'm a freak," She sighed in answer, looking over the scarves she owned. Picking a silky green one she would put it over her head, tying it securely underneath her hair, and covering most of her ears. Making sure that it couldn't easily be disturbed, she picked up some of her pins to fasten it tightly. Smiling faintly at her reflection shortly before turning and gesturing to the puppy, "C'mon Moon, let's go get breakfast." Moonlight barked happily and jumped from the bed gracefully to trot after her as she opened her bedroom door and descended the stairs at the end of the hallway that took her down into the kitchen.

Walking into the kitchen she would find it silent and empty as it was every morning. Her mother was already off in the morning, having to leave early to go to her job in the next city over that was bigger and busier. And of course her father was still on his business trip to wherever. As she would head for the fridge, Moonlight went to his bowl that was set on the floor beside his water dish, full of food. Opening the fridge, she'd look over the illuminated contents, locating her usual breakfast that was made for her by their housekeeper, a bowl of fruit salad. Taking the bowl over to the table she would take her usual seat once she'd fetched herself a spoon out of the silverware drawer. However before eating she would notice a folded note beside her place setting, and sighed heavily knowing what it meant. Picking it up and folding it open she read the familiar handwriting telling her exactly what she had thought it would.

    Flanna,

Have to work late tonight, won't be home until after supper. Be good and don't forget to do your homework. See you later sweetie.

    Mom XOXO

Putting it down again she shrugged, it was always the case it seemed. Her parents busy with one thing or another.

After finishing off her breakfast and putting her dishes in the sink where she was supposed to, she would grab her backpack, already packed of course before heading out the door and down the long driveway towards the school with Moonlight at her heels.

They were a well off family in a large multiple story home, but she didn't get to see her parents often because of their jobs. Sure it was nice with such a big house, and lots of land that she could run around on and have fun, even having a huge outdoor pool. But it was no fun when you were alone all the time...

At the end of the drive way she would stop and looked to pretty much her only friend and smiled at the puppy. "See you after school Moonlight. Be a good boy and don't annoy Miss Velia ok?" The puppy would droop his tail and ears as usual at being told she'd see him after school, knowing that meant she hadn't forgotten that he wasn't allowed to follow her to school. Although she didn't forget anymore ever since she'd gotten in trouble for having him follow her one too many times and her parents had threatened to put him in obedience school in the city, which meant he'd be gone for months and she'd miss him.

After the long lonely walk to the school she would quietly head to her locker, one of the few who didn't have anyone calling out greetings to her. Flanna had lived in the small town most of her life now having moved there towards the end of grade school, and had even had a few friends at some point. But ever since one of the more popular kids had caught her talking to a class pet like it was really talking back to her, people had started calling her a freak and her friends had abandoned her.

And the thing was, the class pet had been answering her back. It wasn't her fault that they couldn't understand animals like she could. But since they didn't know that, or know that she was an elf they had just assumed she was weird and started spreading rumors that had gotten her to be a misfit in the small school.

As she walked down the hall, she would overhear the whispers that had started circulation already about the new kid that had just arrived. Some of it wasn't the nicest as usual, but for the most part it was just people wondering who he was and stuff like that. It wasn't often that they had new kids come to the small town, so it was always news.

She would be a little surprised when she would find out too that the new boy in the school's locker was only a couple down from hers as she arrived at the lockers. Blinking as she looked at him, she couldn't help but think he was sort of cute, causing her to blush a little as she quickly went to her locker. Putting away her stuff for the day and taking out what she would need for her first classes, Flanna couldn't help herself but sneak a quick glance towards the boy from under the fringe of her bangs, wondering what he would be like and if he would be in any of her classes. Sighing softly however she would just shrug, since it wouldn't really matter anyways, he'd hear the rumors about her soon enough and avoid her like everyone else...

Richter surprised himself as he finished unpacking his supplies into the locker. Everything actually fit! Sure, it was messy and would have to dig for the pencils that were under the binders or the packets of paper that were in the back, but hey. At least he was done. Just as he was about to close the locker, he noticed someone staring. He hid behind the locker door and glanced over to see it was a girl. He grinned as she looked away, mentally controlling his tail so it wouldn't wag. There was a faint smell on her that made him quite happy- dog. "A friend?", Richter thought hopefully. Dog owners were the nicest kind of humans, at least the ones he met. Although Richter didn't have the ability to talk to all animals, he could understand canines.

In his old town, many students at his school had dogs. So far, he hadn't picked up any scents on the other students. A majority of them smelled heavily of perfume and strong deodorant, so it was hard to tell. As he concentrated, he noticed something else. He smelled something...familiar. It took a few moments, but he finally realized that the girl smelled a bit like his mother. Slightly sweet and earthy. "Maybe they wear the same perfume?", Richter wondered as he closed his locker door, glad the supplies stayed inside.

Before he could talk to the girl, however, she had already turned and walked away. He was about to chase after her when he heard the students starting to comment. "Pft. Look at that freak. I wonder what's she's hiding under that scarf of hers." Richter frowned and turned to the groups of students that were sneering. "What's wrong with her?", Richter questioned in a defensive voice. He may be the new kid and he didn't know a thing about the girl but no one deserved to be bullied. "Look. Just don't even bother yourself with her. You'll see for yourself. Hey, you're new right? Why don't you sit with us today?", a girl said, who started with a disgusted tone and ended with a flirty one. Richter narrowed his eyes at the group. "No thanks. I'd rather not eat with immature kids who still pick on others.", Richter curtly said before heading to his first class. Maybe they'll meet again later. He couldn't dwell on it now, class was about to start in a few minutes and he didn't know where it was.
Taking out his list of classes, he saw that his first one was near his locker. He grabbed his lighter backpack off the floor and threw it on, ignoring the kids that were glaring at him. As he walked by other people, he receive any other glares which told him the group probably wasn't that popular. Not that it would bug him if they were, but it would be hard to make friends with half the school hating you.

When he arrived in the classroom, the teacher was no where to be seen. Some seats were filled up but most of them were still empty, even though there was only three minutes left before the bell. "Probably out in the halls chatting.", he sighed sadly, thinking about his old friends.

The blush in her cheeks would have brightened as she realized that she was being looked at by him, pretty much being caught in staring when she hadn't meant to. She hoped he wouldn't think her creepy for that alone, having enough going against her. When she finished at her locker she slipped on her backpack and started to walk down the hall slowly towards her class, thankfully it wasn't far to go. But it also meant that she got to overhear part of what was being said before she turned to walk in through the door to her first class.

As she had thought they started as soon as she wasn't looking... not caring that she'd overhear them though. It was so disappointing, Flanna thought, that they were willing to be so cruel to others. Even when she'd been able to keep her secret, more secret she hadn't picked on anyone that was looking down upon. Not that it mattered, now that she was at the bottom of the social ladder.

Keeping her head low to try and not attract any attention, she would slip into her seat, even if she was early. She just found it easier to do so, and avoid attention from the others. Once she sat down she'd take off her backpack to open it and took out a notebook that she'd put on her desk in front of her, along with writing utensils. As she waited for class to begin, she'd hear the whispers starting and she wondered what now had her classmates attention. Lifting her eyes up from the page where she had been doodling, Flanna would look around curiously. However, as she saw the new kid from earlier she would blink, surprised that he had ended up in her class... well not that it was hard in such a small school. Either way she quickly turned her gaze away and went back to doodling on the notebook page. She'd be drawing little bunches of flowers and other nature related things.

Richter looked around the room, wondering where he would sit. "Hope I get a window seat.", Richter thought. Staring out the window was always fun, even if there wasn't that much to see. More people started to arrive when he saw someone he met before- the girl! He grinned happily as he practically dashed to the girl's desk. Moving so he was behind her, he leaned over and saw that she was drawing. "Wow. Those are pretty. I wish I could draw.", Richter complimented, pointing to the doodles on the page. Richter was never the artistic type but at least he had good penmanship.

Richter then realized that he was a little too close the girl and quickly moved back. "Haha. Sorry. My name is Richter Sarrim and I moved to this town about a week ago. As you probably already know, today is my first day here.", Richter said excitedly. He lifted his hat so he could see better, his blue eyes gleaming. "I like your scarf! It looks so soft and it looks nice with your hair.", Richter commented. Before he could ask about the class, he stopped himself. Realizing that he was rambling again, he apologized once more. Richter always rambled when he was over excited, usually talking about the things around him and the person he was talking to. It was probably an annoying habit but at least he could start a conversation.

His smile toned down as he questioned himself if the girl even wanted to have a conversation with him. When he arrived in the classroom, a small chatter started about him so he was sure that she heard or saw him come in the room, but she had her head down when he looked over at her. Maybe she didn't want to talk to him. He was the 'new kid' after all and it probably had more effect in a small school such as this one. "Err, sorry. I'm not disturbing you, am I?", Richter asked with a worried look.

Kevin yawned as he rolled out of bed, hitting the off button on his alarm clock. The room was still dark because of the curtains but Kevin didn't make any effort to open them. There wasn't anything on the floor he could possibly trip over anyway, so he made it to the bathroom unharmed. He flicked the light on and started the morning routine of brushing his teeth, washing his face and combing his hair. After he got that out of the way, the fun began. "Who should I be today?", Kevin asked himself, browsing his impressive collection of 'not' makeup. He shuddered at the term 'makeup'. It sounded way too girly.
All his supplies were placed in sections. His face and nail paints in the mirror cabinet, the powders on the right drawer and the liquids on the left. Under the sink was the various wipes and nail polish removers he used every night before taking a shower. As he stared in the mirror and he decided that because he didn't dye his hair yesterday, he would just have to settle for one of his famous Pokemon sweatshirts. He drummed his fingers on the counter, wondering which one he hadn't wore for a while. "Let's see. Wore Pikachu last week. Eevee the week before. Hmm. Oh yes. I know.", he said to himself as he opened a latched box on the counter.

It was medium sized and was a fold out that held his many eye color contacts. They were in color order so he had no problem finding which one he needed. He glanced over and picked up the closed capsule that had a dark red mark on the top and popped it open. So used to the contacts, it only took him a few seconds to get them both on. Since today was a no cosmetics day, Kevin just rubbed some lotion on his face.

Dressing was quick also. The sweatshirt was easy to put on and all he needed were black pants and shoes to complete the look. The shoe's white lace were replaced with yellow ones and some yellow fabric in the shape of a circle sewed on around the knees of his pants gave him the look of the dark type Pokemon. He had a small collection of solid color backpacks in his large closet and selected the black one. Since he often changed backpacks, every night he would empty the bag he used earlier and leave the contents on the table to stuff into the new one. The only thing he didn't stuff into the bag was his sketchbook, which he often carried around. It was just a regular cheap sketchbook bought from the local store and had his name in marker on the front.

Kevin took his time as he walked down the stairs. He still had plenty of time before he had to walk to school. When he arrived in the kitchen, he found it empty. He shrugged to himself and made a bowl of cereal. He already knew it was going to be empty. Last night, his mother told him that she had to go super early to see a client about a hundred miles away and his dad also had a meeting a few towns away. It wasn't normal to have his parents away for more than a day or two but he could handle it. When he finished eating, he decided it was time to go and began his journey to school.

Kevin enjoyed walking, especially in his town. It was small and familiar, usually quiet in the early mornings with less to no traffic on the streets as he walked by them. He reviewed his sketchbook while walking, not worried about hitting anyone because it was still quite early. In it were drawings of various things, such as outfits, scenery, anime character, et cetra. Most of it, however, were animals and creatures. From the household cat to Pokemon, it filled most of the pages. That was because of Kevin's power to shape shift. For whatever reason, he couldn't shape shift into any other humans, hence the reason why he still used cosmetics. What he could do was shift into any animal or creature, real or not! All he had to do was clearly imagine it and he could shift into it. That was the real purpose the sketchbook. He had dozens of ideas that quickly filled pages and pages, so he has many sketchbooks at home stored safely. The only thing was, he could only change his physical appearance. So he couldn't use Pokemon powers. That part sucked but at least he could fly when he was a bird or breath underwater as a fish.

Kevin didn't fly to school because when you shift, your clothes don't shift with you. He would have to take off his clothes, stuff him into his bag, fly into the boy's restroom somehow, shift back and then put his clothes back on. Waaay too much work.

He arrived to his locker about twenty minute later, yawning as he opened his locker. As he took out his binders, he noticed that people were whispering about some kid. He had no idea what they were talking about but he expected a student was going to tell him so he waited for a few moments when a few female acquaintances showed up."Hey Kaito. Cute sweatshirt!", one girl gushed while another said, "Oh, I love Umbreon." Kevin smiled as they complimented him. "So have you heard? There's a new guy. He just arrived today.", a girl finally said after a minute. "Really? What does he look like?", Kevin asked, interested. The town and school were so small that even just a new kid was major news. "He has blue eyes and brown hair. He's also wearing a cap. I think he has your class first actually. Oh my gosh. This morning, he was actually defending Flanna!", a girl said before dramatically describing what seemed like every little detail.

Kevin zoned out for a minute when he realized she was done talking. "Sounds interesting.", he said, stifling a yawn. He had seen Flanna around the school but never talked to her. He didn't see what was so strange about her. He was the one wearing red eye contacts and an Umbreon sweatshirt. She seemed nice but weak, never standing up for herself. If she was letting other kids bully, then so be it. Kevin didn't really care. The bell was about to ring so Kevin excused himself and slipped into his classroom. There he saw the new kid mumbling to himself before he saw Flanna and dashed happily over to her. "Looks like someone already made a friend.", Kevin thought. He didn't feel like disturbing them so he went to his seat and waited for class to start. He could always find about the new kid later.

Flanna wouldn't notice that Richter had dashed over to where she was, at least not until she heard his voice coming from behind her. Jumping slightly, she would blink and looked towards him, her eyes widening in surprise for a moment before she remembered that he had paid her a compliment. "I-uh-um... thank you," Flanna stuttered shyly blushing softly as she turned her eyes back down to the page. She didn't really think she was all that good, but she enjoyed drawing. Sometimes when she could she'd draw scenery about town.

"It's ok," Flanna muttered to his apology before turning her meadow green eyes back to the excitable Richter, quietly studying him as he introduced himself. Unable to help herself she would giggle softly when he would stop himself and apologized once again. He seemed like such a nice person, it was a shame that he would probably dislike her just as much as everyone else soon. But for now, it didn't hurt for her to be friendly back to him... Shaking her head when he would ask her if he was disturbing her she smiled softly.

"No, your not," She answered softly as she nervously fiddled with the pencil in her hands. "Nice to meet you Richter. I'm Flanna Eldran." Although her answers were spoken gently and short, her sweet voice was still warm to show that she didn't mind talking to him.

Flanna herself sat towards the back of the classroom and near to the windows, as she herself liked to look out the window at the beautiful scenery. That was one of the nice things about living in such a small place compared to the big city, it was much easier to find natural scenery.

"And um... thank you... for the... the compliment about my.. um... scarf," Feeling shy she would try to be polite as she thanked him for the kind words he'd given her about the scarf she was wearing over her ears for the day, as she lifted her hand to gently touch it.

The annoying beeping penetrated the girl's dreams and with an irritated grumbling she would throw back the blankets and shifted to get out of bed sleepily. However most of the sleepiness would disappear as the shock of the cold floor beneath her bare feet hit her. Blinking as she pulled her feet back up, she glared murderously down at the cement floor before putting her feet back down again, gritting her teeth as she resisted the urge to pull them up again. When she was used to the cold enough she would stumble over to the alarm that sat on the opposite side of the room, to make sure she got up, before turning it off. Now that, that was taken care of she would stretch out her lithe body and yawned greatly. And as much as she wanted to do so, she wouldn't crawl back into bed.

Once her stretching was done she went to her dresser and yanked it open before pawing through the various soft clothing that she had. Most of it was handmade by her mother, who was thankfully a brilliant seamstress, so she didn't mind wearing it. It was almost impossible to tell after all that most of her clothing was second hand or not the latest fashion once her mother had gotten to it... Pulling out the underwear she wanted to wear for the day, she'd quickly pull her nightgown off, before slipping into the clothing and turned to look to the full length mirror that hung from the wood paneled wall. Turning one way and the other she would grin at her appearance, knowing she looked good. But knowing the step that came next in her daily routine, her red eyes would turn scornful as she reached over and grabbed the vaguely harness like item off the corner of the mirror. With only a little bit of trouble as she was used to doing this, she would tuck her small wings down before using the harness to keep them pressed up against her back. The sensation was always a bit unpleasant, but she had learned to put up with it years ago. Once that was done, she pulled on the slip that had been made to smooth out any bumps from the harness to better hide them.

After all that was done she went to her closet, struggling to get the darn thing open when the door tried to stick, again, until she forced it open and stood in front of the wide choice of clothing that she had. It would take her a short time to come to a decision as she eyed her possibilities until she reached in and pulled out something that had a bit of a lolita style to it, frilly along it's edges, and in a deep purple. Slipping it on over her head she grabbed a pair of shoes that would match it, black and purple heeled mary janes that she put her feet into before grabbing her stylish black backpack and tossed that onto her bed. Done with the closet she shoved it closed and went back to her dresser where she opened her jewelry box and took out a purple lace choker that she tied about her neck, and two purple lace ribbons that she set to the side. Picking up her hairbrush she ran it through the long soft blonde tresses before gathering them up into two bunches and tying them into pigtails with the purple lace ribbons. Now that she was done with that stuff, she looked in the mirror again and twirled, smiling at her reflection. She looked good and she knew it.

However soon enough that smile disappeared as her red eyes went to the pair of horns that protruded from near to the top of her head. Reaching up with a sigh she would stroke one ivory colored horn before dropping her hand and closing her eyes. Muttering to herself, the girl spoke in a magical language before her horns faded away. Smirking slightly as she opened her eyes she nodded with satisfaction that the glamor spell she had cast had worked, making her horns invisible. Then again, the glamor spell always worked ever since she had learned it. However, since her eyes could be fixed easily with normal means, she would do that so she had to worry about only keeping one thing hidden magically. Turning back to her dresser she popped open the small container that held her contacts. Not that had need of glasses or eye correction, but these were of a nice bright blue color that she had picked out when she was younger. Because she wore them every day of her life she was used to them and so would easily slip them into her eyes, blinking as they settled into place. And one more check to make sure that nothing odd could be seen, the girl blinked her bright blue eyes as she inspected the area around her back for lumps, which there were none and nothing that would give away her horns. Grinning at the results she would finally be finished before making her way out of her room and down the tiny hallway to the kitchen/dining room.

As usual her mother was standing in the kitchen when she got out there, making them up some breakfast for the day. "Morning mom," Xara yawned her greeting as she went and plopped herself down into her usual chair.

"Morning Xara, sleep well?" Her human mother asked as she bustled around, before placing a plate of eggs and toast down for each of them, and she sat down to eat with her daughter.

"Eh, well enough," Xara answer shortly with a shrug, not really one that spoke a lot when she was still waking up.

"Good to hear. All ready for school?" Her mother smiled kindly as she looked over to her daughter.

"What do you think?" Xara answered a little bit snidely, hating the way her mother was always 'just checking' that she was ready and never able to be discovered for what she really was. It was a pain in the ass in the first place, and Xara hadn't ever made a mistake yet and she'd lived in the small city her entire life... Her mother would simply nod and smile, knowing what her father was like.

The rest of breakfast was eaten in silence. It wasn't like they didn't get along, but Xara's mother knew better then to bother her daughter when she was grouchy from waking up. After they were done eating, her mother would had have her lunch done and ready for her and so it wouldn't take her long to be off to the school.

The walk from her and her mother's small basement suite was a bit on the long side since they lived almost all the way across town, but Xara didn't care too much about it. It was nice to be able to walk in the peace sometimes and think about whatever it was that came to mind. And on the bad days she lived far enough that if she wanted to get up early enough to do so, she could catch the bus. Today though was a nice day and so she felt like walking along, and although many wouldn't want to wearing the sort of heels she had, she didn't care. Perhaps it was just the way that she was built of course, with the sort of body that made looking good easy for her compared to most. Then again, by trying to appear human brought her more discomfort then most humans wearing the same sort of clothing.

When she got to the school, she would take a moment outside to make sure that her glamor was still in place before she entered, a brilliant smile upturning her lips. Immediately she was crowded around of course, mostly boys in the school who found her appealing vying for her attention. Asking her how she was doing, how her night had been and about homework. Of course there were the girls who wanted to be around the popular one, who would be fawning over her as well, plus her pleasant aura.

Xara had always been popular really, a pretty girl with naturally beautiful proportions, hair, skin and the like, because of her succubus side. But when she'd hit puberty, she'd become even more popular, her aura increasing in strength and of course her curves filling out nicely. So it wouldn't be long until she heard the rumors about the new kid of course since they were going around like wildfire already, typical of the small school.

"I can't believe he was defending Flanna, that freak too!" One of the girls was going on about his defending the meek girl Flanna. Xara sort of knew her, one of the few people who hadn't tried to attach herself to her. She didn't really know much about her either then the rumors, even though Xara really didn't care too much. If anything, Xara was more interested in boys, by a lot more. Girls too technically, but not as much as boys.

"I don't want to hear about that, I want to hear more about the new kid. Tell me, is he cute? What does he look like?" Xara waved a hand dismissively, immediately asking the typical question that caused a ripple of laughter, her eyes going between the girls as they started describing him and stuff. A grin would appear on her lips as she heard... he would be in her first class for sure it seemed. Her eyes glittered with anticipation, since she would get to see him for herself soon.

Walking with the group of students, Xara wouldn't go to class until the bell rang for them. Grinning as they chatted making her way to the classroom she'd say goodbye to those who weren't in their class before walking in the door. As soon as she walked into the room, she knew there would be those who looked straight to her, and so she'd put on a bright smile for them all, walking down the aisle to slide into her seat that happened to be near Kevin.

He had to be the only one that she was honestly jealous of... he could wear contacts of weird colors and of course nobody would question it, since he'd always been like that, dressing up differently. Xara however and her mother were some of the poorest in the small town, and she couldn't afford much. She was just glad for her mother's skill in sewing and such, because it was only through that way that she was able to keep the fact they were so poor a secret. Not even her closest friend knew just how poor she was. Then again, that was partly because the only money they had coming in was from her mother... Xara's father had been an incubus that had seduced her mother and then disapeared. Xara hated him with a passion, so rarely ever thought of that...

Either way Xara would always appear happy and well dressed, which helped with the fact that she didn't let anyone know how poor they were. People just knew she had no father around, no idea why, and that they didn't live as nicely as some of the two parent families... but not how badly.

"Hey Kevin," Xara would greet him softly, so the teacher wouldn't overhear her speaking, "How's it going?" She grinned at the interesting boy, before gesturing towards Richter with her head. "And what do you know about the new boy?" Asking him what he knew, she figured since people like to talk to him a lot too.

((Wow O.o Sooo sorry for such a long post!! I totally didn't expect for it to get that long O.o))

You're welcome! Sorry about saying sorry so much. I'm just really excited, if that wasn't obvious enough.", Richter laughed. More students were filling seats but since he hadn't heard the bell yet or the teacher, he continued to stand. He didn't have a seat anyway. As he stood, Richter politely moved out of the way so people could walk past him. They didn't say anything as they walked by but they did stare at both him and Flanna. Not knowing any other way to respond to that, he just smiled and waved at them to show that he could see them staring.

Richter turned back to her and saw that she was pretty nervous so he avoided moving any closer to her. It was a bit hard for Richter but he knew that personal boundaries existed for a reason. Since the girl didn't mind having a conversation with him, he started to talk. "The scenery is very nice here. I didn't come from a huge city but it feels like it now that I'm actually here. It's still nice here though. Everything so close to each other you could probably walk or bike anywhere."

Before he could start rambling again, he heard the teacher walk in. Well, he heard the class quiet down which could either mean the teacher has walked in or was about to. The teacher calmly walked to the front of the room where his desk was and motioned over to Richter to walk forward, which he did so happily. "Class, as I'm sure you all know, we have a new student here with us. Would you mind introduction yourself young man?", the teacher asked. Richter nodded and moved so everyone could see him. He wasn't the shy type and could easily talk in front of others.

"Hello! My name is Richter Sarrim. I am fifteen years old and I just moved here a couple of weeks ago. My father owns a general store just a few blocks away and my mother is a general practitioner. I am very atheletic and I wouldn't mind joining a few sport teams here.", Richter said with a clear voice. He continued, "I love animals, especially dogs. I also like to talk to people, so don't hesitate to come up and talk to me. Some things I don't like are...Video games, any food that is made instantly or bullies." He added the last part with slight emphasis as he saw one member of the group from earlier glaring at him. He did his best not to glare back.

He glanced back at the teacher who was standing there to make sure no one talked while Richter was to indicate that he was done. The teacher took out a clip board which probably had the seating chart and pointed to Flanna. "You can sit in front of Miss Eldran, the girl with the red hair.", He said as he got ready to start his class. Richter walked slowly to his desk with his things and flashed a smile at Flanna as he sat in his new seat.

"Kaaaiiito.", Kevin corrected in a normal tone, obviously not afraid of being hushed by the teacher who had just arrived. Kevin could be called, more or less, a teacher's pet. The teacher didn't say anything and only glanced at Kevin who smiled back. Kevin turned back to the girl named Xara and stared at her outfit. He saw that she was wearing a purple Lolita outfit, complete with a choker and all. However, Kevin had to admit it looked nice on her.

He and Xara weren't close friend, if they were friends at all, but he didn't mind the small talk he had with her. He didn't know much about her but he guess that she must have enjoyed sewing too since Kevin's sharp eyes could see the tiny sew lines here and there on most of her outfits. He didn't mention it to her but he enjoyed looking at her outfits and how they were accessorized and stitched together. He could also see that she also wore contacts when he looked into her eyes, able to see the thin line of the contacts outside the rims of the iris. He wasn't the type to stare, but it was hard not too. She was a little too perfect physically. Her skin was clear and her hair was long with no split ends. So the little details such as those made him feel better knowing that even she wasn't perfect.

"Probably not any more than you do.", he said, answering her question. "However, he probably lives close to the school since it seems like he didn't ride the bus.", Kevin added as he put away his sketchbook into his bag and pulled out his science binder. "He probably lives closer than I do since I didn't see him this morning, but then again, I wasn't paying that much attention.", he admitted.

Finally, the teacher addressed the class and Richter, who went up to introduce himself. It was just the standard. The usual kind of information you would give. There wasn't anything particularly interesting about Richter. He just seemed like a nice guy. Someone anyone could get along with and that was proven since he defended Flanna and held a conversation with her, despite all the stares. He didn't feel disappointed since he wasn't expecting much in the first place. This wasn't a huge, growing town that would attract the different kind of people most of them saw on television. The new kid was just another happy-go-lucky kind of fella that populated roughly twenty percent of the school. At least he wasn't another idiotic jock.

"So. Normal. ", Kevin sighed as Richter sat back down. He pulled his hood down and ruffled his natural light brow hair while yawning. "At least his parents are somebodies.", he said as class was about to officially start. He opened his pencil bag and pulled out a gold pen that he used often to write notes. Store owner was uncommon but a doctor was unusual. The fact that he mentioned both of them together in the same sentence most likely meant that he lived with both parents. Kevin opened his binder to a blank page and began writing some notes about the new kid and place it so Xara could glance over at his desk to see it.

Fifteen. Active. Outdoor person. Most likely lives with both parents. Lives close to school. Financially stable, maybe rich.

With the last note, he pointed to Richter and then to his own wrist. On Richter's, he had a nice silver bracelet with a real ruby gem. Then Kevin pointed to his chest which had the dog tags which were not only engraved with embedded also with real gems.

"That's alright," Flanna would tell him with a soft laugh as he would apologize for apologizing so much as she ducked her head a little. She couldn't help but notice how friendly he seemed and well... how nice, as he would smile and wave to those that were staring. Cute and nice... who would've thought? Thinking about how cute he was she would blush a little again, turning her face back to her page of doodles. At least until he started talking again and she turned her eyes back to him.

"That's good you like it, it can be hard to get used to at first... I mean, um... it was a little... for me when I moved here... but that doesn't mean it should be for you... cuz it's a really nice place!" Flanna would get a little flustered, blushing gently as she tried to converse with him, but tripped over her words as she didn't want to make him feel like she was saying it was hard to adjust or that she thought he should or would have a hard time. She'd smile at him, and thankfully would be saved by the bell... or so to say. As Richter walked away to go to the front of the class she would put her head down with embarrassment.

"Nice move freak," one of the kids sitting near her would say to her, causing Flanna's face to redden further, but as usual she would just try to ignore them. It's not like she could do anything that wouldn't make it worse... Sighing softly she'd clench her eyes shut for a moment before trying to tune in to what the teacher and Richter were saying.

Listening to Richter as he described himself she would be particularly excited to hear that he loved dogs, meaning Moonlight would love him. And she'd be a little surprised to hear he didn't like bullies. No one technically did of course, but announcing it like that wasn't very common. But for some reason thinking about the fact that it was Richter who said it, wasn't all that surprising, even though she had just met him and everything. Deep in her thoughts, she'd only catch her last name being spoken as she'd look up blinking, "Huh?" Seeing that Richter was heading to sit in the seat in front of her, she would be glad she didn't speak loudly enough to be heard or else she would've been laughed at.

"Hi again," Flanna would greet him again with a shy smile to show that she had indeed liked talking to him. She was just shy and had a hard time doing so with people she didn't know.

"Right, Kaito," Xara would smirk as she gave a soft chuckle and shrugged lightly. Not to be insulting, but just as usual treated things with a casual light. Perhaps she had become so accustomed to being started at but, for whatever reson she wouldn't really notice that he was staring for the moment.

Leaning against her desk she would listen to his answer with a nod, and a glance towards the new boy, her eyes taking him in. She had to admit he was certainly attractive. Hearing Kaito sigh she would turn back to him, lifting her brow at him and his apparent disappointment at Richter being normal. "Well don't you sound disappointed. Were you expecting him to be... an alien or something?" Xara would ask him with a laugh and lopsided grin as she took things out of her bag to place them on the top of her desk.

At Kaito's pointing out of his notes she would lean over slightly and read it over before glancing to Richter for a moment then back again. She would nod her agreement to him. "And his clothing is top of the line too," Xara would point out. After all the time she had spent studying her mother's copies and the actual articles, she had acquired a very good eye for what was genuine.

Richter shifted so he faced Flanna after quickly pulling out some paper and a pencil for the class. "Hey! Glad we get to sit near each other.", he whispered.

The teacher was still a bit distracted with getting the lesson ready and was writing some things on the board. The other students seemed to notice and were also whispering to their friends. Not sure how long it would last, Richter whispered quickly. "Hey, I saw you this morning. It looks like we're almost locker mates too." This was something Richter was quite happy about. Even if she didn't have any other classes with him, he could always see her at her locker between classes.

Richter suddenly thought of something as he took out something from his pocket. It was a piece of paper that was slightly crumpled up. He did his best to smooth it out and handed to the girl. "Here's my schedule. Do we have any other classes together?", Richter asked excitedly. While he didn't expect Flanna to be his only and best friend, he did want to know about her. She seemed like a really nice person and maybe he could meet her dog too.

[OOC: Sorry. It's short and not that good but you didn't give me that much to work with. ; n ;]

"Yeah. At least an alien would be more interesting. Let's hope our next new student will be from the Moon or maybe even Mars! ", Kaito said half sarcastically. Half being because he really did want to meet more interesting people. Not normal people. Not Cliche type people. Not overally happy people. Just someone different. "Maybe someone will powers.", he thought hopefully. He couldn't help but laugh silently to himself with that thought. Most people didn't even know the town existed. But...maybe because of that, more 'unique' people would be living here. With that thought in mind, he glance over at Richter then shock his head again. "No way.", he thought.

Kevin glanced over at Richter again when Xara mentioned his clothes. "Yeah, but it's too bad he doesn't know how to dress himself. Black shirt with dark pants and shoes?", Kevin sighed, a little annoyed at the boy. From his ironed shirt, his mom probably laid out his clothes for him. Who needs their mom to pick out their outfits for the day? Kevin's mother stopped doing that when he was five.

The teacher was being slow as usual so Kevin was thinking about throwing a piece of paper to get Richter's attention. He may not be that interesting, but he may as well know a little more about the guy. Taking a piece of paper from his binder, he crumpled it up and was about to throw it when he saw that Richter was talking to Flanna. With that, he tossed the ball back onto his desk. Though he didn't neither like or hated Flanna, she seemed like nice person and not many people talked to her. For now, he would have to wait to bug the new guy so he had to settle for bugging Xara for now. He took the ball and threw it at her head. Childish, yes. But there wasn't anything else to do.

When Richter shifted to face her, she would blink up at him, allowing a shy smile to show on her face as he would express being glad to sit near each other. "I'm glad too," She would tell him softly, her green eyes full of wonder at the fact that he continued wanting to talk to her. Flanna hadn't expected anything like this whatsoever, so although she was taken by some surprise, she was also definitely happy.

At his mentioning of having seen her that morning, she would blush softly hoping that he hadn't caught her staring when she had thought he might have. Although she would nod to him regarding that they were almost locker mates which she was starting to think was great. It meant that he had taken notice of her after all... Watching him with curiousity as he fished his schedule from his pocket, she would shyly accept it with a slight smile and looked down over it.

Reading over the classes there she wasn't too surprised over what he had, but as her eyes traveled over the writing she would become surprised at what she read there. He had all of the same classes at the same time! Blinking she would read it over again, reminding herself it wasn't all that surprising considering how small the school was. There was only so many different schedule types and there were already some people who had the same schedule as her. She guessed what had surprised her most was that she got lucky enough to have such a nice person in all of them...

"We have all the same classes actually," Flanna would tell him, her eyes bright with the smile that showed on her lips as she handed him back his schedule. "That's so cool!" She would actually let some enthusiasm slip into her voice. Usually trying not to get too excited over anything considering how it set her up for disappointment, she couldn't help herself this time. Blushing though at realizing how excited she would seem she fiddled with the pen she held shyly, moving her eyes back down to the paper in front of her.

"Aliens," Xara snorted, somehow managing to make even that gesture attractive, "I suppose they would be if they existed." The irony of her words weren't really lost on her, not that he would know of course, considering that she was half of a creature that wasn't supposed to exist and yet she did. And she didn't believe in aliens. "However, I have to agree with you," She smiled to Kaito with a glitter in her eyes, "Interesting would be nice."

Glancing back over to the new kid as he was talking to Flanna, she would chuckle as she lifted a brow and looked back to Kaito, "Well at least he's attractive. Wonder if he's single." She stated idly, with an amused tone to her voice. Though at Kaito's annoyed statement about his clothing, she would give a nod in agreement, "He doesn't really seem to have an eye for fashion, does he?" Xara sighed with a shake of her head in a pitying fashion. To her, those that couldn't tell what looked good over what was just plain, or ugly, were to be pitied. And it wasn't even just when it came to whatever was latest in style, since she felt more that people needed to find their own unique fashions. That which looked good on them.

At being hit with the ball of paper, Xara would turn her head to look to Kaito, lifting a brow at him considering that he hadn't had to do that to get her attention. It didn't really irritate her since it didn't mess up her hair or anything but she found it silly. Stretching a smile across her lips she would give him an enticing smile, "Yes, Kaito?" Xara would ask him, speaking with a soft purr to her voice, "Is there something you would... like?" She asked with her soft smirk.

"Whoa, really? That's great!", Richter said a little bit too loud. A few students nearby cast their curious glances at him and he laughed it off. "Sorry.", he apologized to the others. Even with his almost bubbly personality, he didn't really love the idea of being the center of attention all the time like this. He wasn't the type to strive for popularity but being watched so much made even him a bit nervous.

When he turned to face Flanna again, he shared her enthusiasm, even though some of it seemed to fade a little with her shyness. "I guess it's one of the perks of smaller schools. In my school, you were lucky if you got more than two classes with the same person." If most schedules were like this, then perhaps most of the kids in the room were the same ones that he would see all day. With that thought, he surveyed around. What caught his attention was a couple of...odd people that were glancing at him from time to time. One was a weirdly dressed boy and the other was a pretty girl.

The boy had brown hair and red eyes? They were probably contacts but the thing that stood out from him the most was his outfit. It was all black with some yellow. His sweatshirt had ears stitched on it too. He didn't know where it was from but it looked somewhat familiar. He looked like he had sharp eyes, but it was a little hard to take it seriously with the outfit he was wearing.

As for the girl, she had really long, blonde hair that was shades paler than his mother's. She had a petite build and Lolita dress on. She look really pretty but Richter knew not to judge someone by their appearances, no matter how odd or pretty they looked. Both the girl and boy seemed to be very interested in Richter, which he didn't think twice about. Everyone was taking an interest in him but it looked like those two were...judging him? It was hard to tell but he was pretty sure they were taking about him.

Curiosity got the best of him, so he nonchalantly adjusted his hat so he could perk up his dog ears slightly. Yep, they were talking about him. He could only listen for a second without looking too suspicious with his hat and all but they were talking about his clothes. Richter turned to Flanna and asked quietly, "Who are those people? I think they're staring at me. Uh...more than the other ones are anyway." He pointed to the pair with his pencil quickly before they could see.

""I'm pretty sure he is. Nice guys like him are usually pretty dense, so he's probably single.", Kevin answered. "Why? Love at first sight?", Kevin laughed. He laughed not only because she was interested in the boy but also because it was hard to imagine them as a couple. Richter didn't look that bright, or at least he didn't act like it, so he would probably just be another boy that Xara could drag around like a dog.

When Xara answered him after throwing the paper ball, he smirked. Something about her was almost hypnotizing but he had a pretty good poker face, at least he hoped he did. "Yes actually. I would like for class to start. The sooner, the better.", he sighed dramatically. He then glanced again at his binder. "Maybe I should throw one at the teacher.", he questioned. It was tempting but it looked like the teacher was finally almost done. Kevin suddenly remembered something.

"Hey Xara. Sit with me at lunch today with the new kid. I'll try to get a table just for us.", Kevin said. This meant he would have to hide from his 'fangirls', as Kevin so lovingly nicknamed the herds of girls that followed him and talk to a few so they could actually sit alone. He didn't know about Xara though. She attracted both girls and boys and that would probably be harder to get away from.

At Richter's enthusiastic response, Flanna would blush a little bit out of embarrassment but would nod her head silently in agreement. Although she couldn't hold back the soft smile that crossed her lips even as he apologized to the people who had looked over. And listening to him as he mentioned it being a perk of a smaller school, she would frown lightly and looked away. For her it was more of a curse then a perk. If someone specific decided to make her life miserable, well there wasn't a lot she could do to get away from them if they were in her every other class as well. Though her thoughts would turn around to the fact though that he was in the same classes as she was and she smiled again to Richter.

"This'll be the first time I'm glad for it," She would tell him, blushing again as she would turn her eyes down shyly again, but not without glancing up at him, watching as he surveyed the room. Though when his eyes stopped on someone she would follow his eyeline and blinked at who he seemed to be watching for the moment. From her vantage they seemed to be paying quite a bit of attention to him, but then again she wasn't surprised. Kaito was known for being odd but in a good way and how he seemed to always like to know about whatever was going on. And Xara had a lot said about her although it was rarely bad at all, even with her reputation for going through boyfriends a lot.

Flanna specifically had no problem with them since although they weren't nice, they weren't mean to her. If she'd had to interact with them neither had ever been cruel or rude. Although she wouldn't have minded being friends with them, she was happy for their disregard too. The next best thing from friends was just not being noticed.

"That's Kevin and Xara, though Kevin prefers being called Kaito. I don't know why, but he can get upset if you don't call him that. They're both actually fairly popular," Flanna answered Richter's question with a soft smile as she looked to him, keeping her eyes off of them, not wanting to provoke any sort of problem with either of them.

"Love?" She repeated with a laugh, which would cause a few people to look her way, she would just give them a slight smile before looking fully back to Kevin and rolled her eyes. "Love is just a myth, dear Kaito," Xara would finish answering him with an amused tone, just seeming to brush it off easily, even if there was a chance of a sign of a darker emotion in her eyes that disappeared quickly.

"Only if you want to delay class more," Xara chuckled to his answer about class starting and questioning the idea of throwing a ball of paper at the teacher. "Not that I care, these classes are so boring," She wrinkled her nose as she looked towards the front of the class with an irritated glance before Kaito's voice drew her gaze back. Tilting her head as he mentioned sitting with him at lunch, she would brace her elbow on her desk as she placed her head onto her hand.

"Trying to get me to yourself are you?" She would tease playfully with that same purring tone as before, lifting her brow at him again. Although she'd abandon the relaxed pose to shrug lightly shortly after she'd spoken. "Sure, everyone else won't be happy but whatever. They all have each other to occupy themselves with," Xara would answer seriously then with a giggle. Although it would have been impossible to slip away from her 'friends' she knew they'd give her space if she told them to. No one wanted to get on Xara's bad side after all. "Though I'm curious, what for?" She would ask him with a soft smile.

"Oh okay.", Richter responded. It wasn't like he cared if they were popular or not, but it was still kind of weird that they were so interested in him. "Oh well. Whatever.", he thought. He would most likely seem them again later. Though he wasn't quite sure if he wanted to actually meet them. Anyone how cared about their looks so much were generally a bit more...snobby. Those kind of people he had enough of at his old school, where kids cared more about money and status than personality. He wasn't ignorant. He knew that there were going to be plenty of people like those in any school, no matter how small. He already witnessed that this morning.

That reminded him, he wanted to know why people were avoiding Flanna. She seemed like such a nice person. Really shy but still nice. He didn't see anything unusual with her physically with her body or her clothes. Then again, he didn't have great fashion sense so what did he know? That seemed harsh, to ignore someone because of their clothes but maybe that wasn't it. Richter didn't want to over think it or be rude by just blurting out 'what's wrong with you?'. He was never one to follow rumors anyway. The best way to find about a person was to talk to them and even though Flanna didn't have that much to say, anyone could tell that she was a very gentle person.

"Have you talked to them before?", Richter asked Flanna.

If love was a myth, Kevin had to wonder why she dated so often. He held his tongue though since it wasn't any of his business. Xara's love life was something that was personal even if it was a bit questionable.

"Well, you want to know more about the new guy right? It's be easier to talk to him than just stare at him from afar.", Kevin explained. Even though there was a chance that he could be completely boring and waste their time but there was a chance that he could be different than everyone else that inhibit the school. Unlikely but it didn't hurt to hope. "Hmm...there's no guarantee that he'll be sitting next to either of us the rest of the day." Many students had the same schedule the whole day, with a few getting a different class here or there. Expected of such a small school.

Kevin glanced back at Richter for what seemed like the twentieth time within the last few minutes and gazed over to the red haired girl, Flanna. They seemed to have hit it off, even though it looked like Richter was doing most of the talking. "I guess we have to save a seat for Flanna too.", Kevin said to Xara, pointing to her with his gold pen. Only a few moments after that, Mr. Tescins tapped on the board, getting everyone's attention. "Finally!", Kevin thought, only to be disappointed to see that they were just going to be copying some notes and working out of the textbook. He didn't even try to hold back the sigh before getting start on the assignment.

Flanna nodded lightly to his response, not having anything to say to it so she would stay silent, but kept her attention on him to let him know that she wasn't have any problems conversing with him. She just wasn't one of many words when not entirely comfortable, and speaking to even someone as nice as him in front of others that had caused her soo much embarrassment made it harder for her to want to open her mouth at all.

At his question she would nod gently with a soft smile, "Yes, but only because of being paired up for school assignments. But they seem nice enough. Haven't had anything mean to say to me anyways." Flanna would tell him, with a short glance in their direction.

Once the class had started, Flanna would pay good attention to the teacher, although anything said to her by Richter would be met with a gentle smile and soft wording in answer. But besides that, she would diligently be taking down notes, writing quickly and neatly, her handwriting was small and tight but still very legible.

Although she note the question in Kevin's eye about her statement, she wouldn't bother to try to answer it since it wasn't asked. It wasn't something she often spoke of, and liked to keep it that way. But the truth of the matter was due to her parentage. Not that he would know that either. However being fathered by an incubus and knowing there had been no love there, had twisted her view on romance as she'd aged without a father figure or a real example.

"Good point Kaito," Xara conceded with a small smile and nodded her head to him. Though when he would mention not sitting next to them at all during the day before lunch she would nod, letting a soft grin grow over her face. "I'll make sure he knows he's invited to sit with us before then, don't worry." Xara would tell him with a soft laugh and wink. Though at the mention of Flanna she would look back to the two of them speaking, before nodding to Kevin again. "Alright, that shouldn't be a problem either." Xara nodded again and giggled.

As for once the lesson had started, Xara would be done quite quickly, perhaps not in the neatest or best way, but it would be done to her satisfaction. Her mind was too on getting Richter to sit with them to put much effort into it anyways. "You know what, I'll deal with it now," Xara would tell Kevin with a smirk before she rose to her feet and headed straight over to Richter and Flanna. She knew that doing such a thing was garnering her attention, but flashing the teacher a smile, she knew that all most would do was stare.

"Hey there," Xara would purr out the greeting happily, lifting a hand to brush back one of her long blonde tails to behind her shoulder. "Kaito and I," She indicated the other boy as she spoke, "Would just love it if you both would come join us at our table for lunch. So, would you, please?" Xara would slightly user her succubus influence to encourage the two of them would say yes as she crouched at Richter's side slightly so she looked at least like she was trying not to disub people.

"Well, that's good.", Richter said in response to Flanna, turning around back to his own paper after the teacher finished writing. Glad that he had sharp eyes, he quickly wrote down the notes that were on the board. He glanced at Flanna's paper and saw that her handwriting was like he expected it to be, small and neat. He almost laughed when he looked back to compare his own handwriting, which looked like a ten year old wrote on his paper. No where near fancy, but it was readable. At least Richter thought so.

As he continued on his notes, he still glanced over to the odd couple. Maybe they weren't the snobby types after all but he still wondered about them. He didn't have to think too long because the girl named Xara calmly walked over as everyone else was trying to get the assignment done. The teacher clearly saw her but didn't move to stop her. "That's weird.", Richter thought as she moved closer to his desk.

She was a little bit shorter than he was by about an inch or two. She had an inticing smile on her face and he couldn't help but notice her pretty blue eyes. Her voice was soothing as she asked both him and Flanna to join them at lunch. Since he didn't know anyone else at the school besides Flanna, he didn't have any plans for lunch. Besides for maybe sitting by Flanna if she let him. Richter almost let out a 'sure' without even thinking, but stopped himself short before laughing nervously.

"Haha...Uhh...", he was surprised to see himself fumble over his own words. He turned so he faced Flanna, moving his body so he wouldn't see Xara's face. "Did you want to?", Richter asked Flanna with a kind smile. If she said no, he decided he would sit next to the red haired girl, even though he kind of wanted to.

Kevin looked up and saw Xara get up to the two that were whispering to each other. Of course, the teacher they had for an idiot just stood there with a blank stare. "So dramatic.", Kevin mumbled, directing it to Xara. Though he probably shouldn't be the one talking. He watched for a few seconds as Xara used her 'people' skills on them, before he got bored and went back to his work. He already knew what the answer was going to be so why waste his time watching when he had work to do.

To Richter's words, Flanna would silently nod and smiled gently to him before she went back to taking her notes. Although she wasn't the fastest note taker, because she tended to take her time. It was part of why she never had to cram for tests and such. So when Xara came over, it would surprise her and she would bring up her head to blink at the blonde hair watching her kneel beside Richter. She was pretty certain she knew why she was there, Richter was a cute boy after all...

However hearing her question, Flanna would blink at her in surprise. This was a first, as she'd never been asked to eat lunch with anyone since the incident that had made her a freak in everyone's eyes. Even though she had a feeling that there was a reason behind it, she couldn't help but feel a little giddy. Today was turning out to be such a great day! A bright smile touched her lips, as her green eyes took on a slight sparkle.

"S-Sure!" Flanna would nod her head in answer as well. She wasn't going to be alone for lunch for once! That made her happier then she thought it would have.

Xara would be a little surprised when Richter wouldn't answer her right away but instead turned to Flanna to see if she wanted to as well. It didn't upset her, but it was a little surprising since most boys would have said yes immediately. But that was fine, she'd seen that she still affected him and that was enough for her.

Turning her head to look over to Flanna when Richter addressed her, she would give her a kind smile and waited for her answer. Having it, she would nod and smiled brighter before she stood up. "Great!" She declared, beaming down at them both although it was mostly directed towards Richter. "Just look for me or Kaito at lunch then. See you guys then, ciao." Xara giggled and spoke before turning slightly and wiggled her fingers in good bye before sauntering back over to her desk.

Sliding back into her seat she would turn her bright smile to Kaito, placing her head into her hand as placed her elbow on the desk. "Did he watch me walk away?" Xara asked with a soft giggle. She would have told them that they agreed to eating lunch with them, but it would have been easy to see that they had agree so didn't think that it need to be reiterated.
