The Help

[SedatedDemon]

I walked back to the orphanage, crying softly. A little boy had died at the homeless shelter today. He was 6. He starved. I saw the flowers and I picked them up,going inside of my room.

After I heard a door shut, I got up, seeing the flowers were.gone. I slowly went over to the room, and knocked gently.

I sighed and hugged a pillow to my chest. "Go away Sydney!" I called.

"Its not Sydney.." I said, and I sighed. "Can I come in?" I asked, grabbing the door handle.

[SedatedDemon]

I looked up, surprised, and I quickly wiped my tears away. "Yeah."

I slowly opened the door, seeing the flowers were in her room. She looked like she had been crying. I frowned, and I waled over and sat be her.. "Whats wrong..?"

I took a deep breath and I turned away from him. "One of the children at the homeless shelter died today."

I didnt like it when she turned from me.. I slowly took her hand, and I kissed her cheek.. "I'm.. so sorry..." I said, looking down..

I glanced back at him and I sighed, shaking my head. "It's not your fault."

"I know, but, .. I feel sorry." I said, looking down.. "Sorry.. this probably. Isnt a good time." I said.

"Stop apologizing." I told him, letting go of his hand. "There's nothing anyone can do."

I sighed, and I put my hands in my lap. "Ill... come back later.." I said, slowly standing..

"If you leave, then don't come back. I'm tired of the mixed signals Slade." I said, my voice cracking slightly.

I stopped, and I turned and looked at her.. "I'll stay then.." I said, slowly sitting by her again. I held my head in my hands.. "I hope you like the flowers..."

I looked down at my lap. "I do. Thank you." I said softly, watching him.

"I wont give mixed signals anymore.. I. Know what I want now." I said, looking at her..

I looked up and rested my hands in my lap. "And what do you want?" I asked.

"You." I said, my cheeks getting very hot when I said it, I was nervous... but I wanted this. Her.

My eyes widened, a little surprised, and I stared at him. "R-Really?"

I hesitantly took her hand. "Yeah.." I said, looking at our hands as I laced our fingers together. "I did feel something when we kissed.. something... very strong."

I looked up into his eyes. "I did too." I whispered, squeezing his hand gently.

"And I think I can trust you.." I said and I kissed her cheek sweetly.. I looked into her eyes when I pulled back.

I blushed and I looked down at our hands. "You can. I promise." I said.

I nodded slowly. "Okay. I dont want to be lied to, or anything like that.. and I promise to be honest, and tell you everything.." I said.

"Okay." I whispered, looking down and squeezing his hand a little tighter.

"Alright.." I said. I hope she didnt make me regret it..

I looked up into his eyes and I gently kissed the corner of his mouth.

I slowly touched her cheek, and I brought her lips back, to gently press to my mouth.. I kissd her sweetly. And lovingly..

I closed my eyes and kissed him back slowly, my arms slowly wrapping around his neck. I felt sparks again, just like when we first kissed.

I pulled her closer, the kiss deepened slightly.. I heard the door open, and I slowly pulled away, seeing a very surprised looking Sydney in ghe doorway
