"Well, okay then. Goodnight." My mom said, going to her bedroom. I turned to Angus, scared. "He knows where we live Angus. We haven't changed houses since y'all moved. Your family used to come over a lot, surely he remembers."

I hugged him back tightly. "I just can't wait to get out of here."
I rubbed her back, then pulled back and kissed her forehead. "I'll make sure no one will hurt anyone in this house, okay?"

I laughed and looked up at him. "That's all that happens? I'm disappointed." I sat up and smiled. "I expected torture or something." I teased.
"Torture?" I said, and I straddles her, and pinned her arms up with one hand, and I began to tickle her sides

I began to laugh uncontrollably and I thrashed around until I finally managed to knock him off of the couch and I grabbed a pillow, throwing it at him. "That was mean!"
"Hey, you suggested it!" I said, throwing the pillow back at her, laughing.

"Not that!" I said, sticking my tongue out at him. I threw it back at him before getting up and going upstairs.
I laid there still laughing. We were such little kids sometimes. I loved it. I heard a door slam upstairs, and I sighed.
When I got up, I saw a note on the table. "She's next."
It read ... My heart stopped. I heard thrashing upstairs, and I quickly grabbed my gun from my room, and ran up there

"Dad! No. Please.." I said, and when I saw what he was doing to her, I felt this uncontrollable anger boil inside of me. I didn't know what to do. He slowly aimed his gun at me. "Isn't that the gun I got you when you turned 17? How cute you still have that." He said, smiling evily. His gun was away from her, I had it aimed perfectly to hit him in between the eyes. I acted as if I was about to out it down by saying "Okay.." But I kept my aim and I pulled the trigger.

At the same time, his dad's finger was still on the trigger. I knocked the gun out of his hand the same time he shot and the bullet hit the wall next to Angus. At the same time, Angus's bullet grazed me before hitting the dad right between the eyes. I felt blood on my arm, but it didn't hurt much, it was just a graze. I felt his body go limp on me, and I pushed him off, shaking uncontrollably.
I fell to my knees, dropping the gun. "Oh my god..." I breathed, shaking like crazy.. I just killed my own father.. I crawled over to her and took her in my arms, sobbing... I saw that my bullet had grazed her arm. "Babe I'm so sorry.. I'm so so sorry....."

I hugged him back tightly, sobbing along with him. "It's not your fault.. It's not..." I said, closing my eyes. The door opened and my mom stood there, shocked. "What the hell happened?" She screamed. I explained, while comforting Angus and then mom called the cops so we could testify for self defense. We had a lot of good evidence.
