@ EVERYONE : I'm late to the party, but hopefully not so late that it's, ah, over? I don't know what I'm saying, but I'm submitting a character??
P.S. I'm Jing, but this only matters if I'm accepted. Otherwise, uh, this is rather awkward then...
@ ANYONE WHO KNOWS : Does the character's physical age lack bearing/relevancy to the grade they are placed in? I know this sounds really stupid, but I'm looking over other people's profiles and... there's some discrepancy that gives me pause in defaulting to 15/10, 16/11, 17/12, etc.

Just to let you know different areas have different age requirements as far as school goes and also when ur birthday is affects which grade you are in. In 9th grade you could possibly be 13, 14, 15, or even 16. And 10th could be 14, 15, 16, or 17. And so on. But then again I'm not entirely sure it matters a whole lot in this RP.
No such thing as being late in this game, Jing! And besides, it's still the first day so you can still say your character arrived on time! It's up to you whether or not they attended the welcoming ceremony, or skipped it, or even slept through it. ;P
In regards to your question about age, Traegen answered rather well! There are at least three possible ages you could be in every grade, but you could also have a character who is smarter than most and shot through to a higher grade quicker than others! Or even a dense character who got held back... Haha~
