So, before it died about a year ago, I was running a historical game that (for me at least) was a lot of fun. I was wondering if there would be any takers for this over here so that maybe I could revive it.
Just to make things clear: I'm looking for serious players; ones that are willing to put effort into researching their characters and the era in which the game takes place, no one-liners, etc.

So Anyway.
This game revolved around a freakshow set in 1920's Atlantic City. It's housed in a local theater called The Midnight Cabaret; which also includes a small casino and a speak-easy. The players could have either been performers in the freakshow (my character was one of an escape artist and exists in the Character Pool), theater employees (bartenders etc.), local gangsters, hookers, regular crowd; you name it.

This is the official teaser the former mod and I wrote when we were recruiting players:

The theme

1926: Atlantic City is a thriving, bustling center of entertainment, not to mention booze, women, and the baggage that comes with both. Nestled on the boardwalk is an old theater, home to a wide variety of… individuals. We boast a full-blown speak easy, an impressive lobby and a host of games for your enjoyment, but our crown jewel is our rather remarkable line-up on the stage. We may not be Coney Island, but we’re sure as Hell going to give them a run for their money.

What We’re Looking For
Basically, the ACCotD revolves around a freakshow set in previously-specified era and location. Management is currently looking to hire bartenders, working ladies, “civilized connections” to some decent liquor, freaks, geeks, and performers of all kinds. We even need someone to actually run the place. We’re looking for players comfortable writing in third-person log format with a good and solid knowledge of history and culture. We are obviously open to interpretation and manipulation, but we’d love you to know your stuff! Consider filling out some applications(...)

So um. Yes. I'd be delighted if anyone was interested. That will be all.
