That simple touch of her lips seemed to snap me awake and I looked back into her eyes. It's been so long since I've felt anything so.. Kind, and gentle.
I stared into her eyes for a moment, our faces linging together.
I looked right back into her green eyes, our faces only inches apart. "Why are you so nice to me?" I asked.
"Because I have no reason not to be,"I said gently.
My eyes flickered down to her lips and then back up to her eyes. "You're crazy, you know that?" I leaned in and gently pressed my lips to hers.
I reached up and placed my palm on her cheek, kissing her back. When we pulled back, I smiled,"I'm glad to be crazy if that is my reward..."
I blushed and sat back, looking down. "Um...." I didn't know why I kissed her, I just did it.. But she doesn't seem to mind..
I smiled and leaned towards her, kissing her jaw gently before standing up,"See, you're no monster..."
I looked up at her and smiled lightly. "Only when I'm hunting.." I said softly.
"But that's not all the time,"I said gently down to her, leaning over her,"Take me home?"
I looked up at her and nodded slowly. "Yeah, sure." I got up and led her outside. "Get on my back..." I said softly.
I wrapped my arms around her neck from behind and then jumped up and wrapped my legs around her hips.
I held onto her thighs and I glanced back behind her. "Hold on tight." Then I began to run. It was a long way out of the woods but it only took me a second. When we got out of the woods I stopped and let her down. "This is as far as I dare go.. I do not wish to go into town..." I said, sinking back into the shadows as some civilians walked by.
I frowned softly and moved into the woods a bit with her,"Why?"
"I don't like being around people, really.. Not like this..." I said softly. I handed her a little whistle. "If you ever need me, just blow this whistle. It's so high pitched that only I could hear it. If another vampire comes before me, make sure you have this." I handed her a sharp stake.
"No,"I said gently, taking her hand in my own,"I want to be near you... I can never see you outside of the woods?"
I shook my head. "No.. I have to stay inside of my territory..." I said softly, gently pulling my hand away. "This won't be the last you'll see of me.. I promise.."
I sighed gently and nodded, looking down.
I stepped up and hugged her gently. "Don't be sad..." I whispered.
"I've been looking for you for two years... Must I wait two more?"I questioned, holding her close to me.
I shook my head and buried my face in her hair. "It won't be that long... Now you have that whistle.." I whispered.
"But you won't come into town,"i said, shaking my head. I slowly stepped back.
I sighed and looked up at her. "If you call me at night I will. I can hide easier that way.."
I sighed gently and leaned in, giving her a slow kiss,"Until next time?"
I nodded and smiled slightly. "Yeah.." I whispered. I kissed her cheek gently before I turned and disappeared into the woods.
I walked back home and sighed. The next few days were filled with work and what not, and then a week passed and Saturday came. I walked into the woods, the moon shining bright, and I blew the whistle.
I was walking around when I heard the whistle. I ran towards the direction of the sound and stopped when I saw Maggie. "Hey there." I said with a smile.
"Hey,"I said with a grin.
I hugged her gently. "How are you?" I asked.
"Tired,"I said with a chuckle,"I've been working all wekk..."
