First, thank you for your interest in Halcyon!

Second, if you are ready to apply, you should fill out this form and then, after you're done, message it to me! If your application is accepted, it will be posted in this thread and I will message you a google form for you to fill out (which is, basically, your character's profile!).

Third, I reserve the right to reject a profile even if I have accepted the proposal.

Fourth, getting to possible questions!

Q: How come you have this application process? Why can't you just evaluate based on the profile?

The application process is a way for me to screen ideas before they can become full-fledge profiles. It saves me time from having to read a full profile and it saves you time from writing an essay that won't go anywhere. Moreover, by doing this, I can make the profile more "fun." I don't have to keep it traditional (blocks and blocks of text). I can do what I have done—survey-style.


Q: Why isn't this first-come, first-serve?

It is and it isn't. I don't take reservations because I want to see what your idea is before I give you the green-light. And while I appreciate all forms of creativity, there are some ideas that won't work well with the preset story and I want to nip those ideas at the bud instead of playing damage control during the game.


Q: I thought I was approved for a role! Why does it say "Accepting Applications" again?

When I approve your application, you have one week's time to fill out a profile and submit it. If you don't, the role you applied for is no longer "reserved" and is, instead, open to applications again. You can re-apply for the role, but you would have to go through the process again and, if you have a competitor, I will pick the best-fit profile.


Q:Why can't we just fill in the profile template ourselves? Why do we have to fill out this Google Form?

This sounds really, really silly and absurd and everything, BUT, I am a stickler for uniformity—especially when it comes to profiles. I don't like poor formatting and, in an effort to avoid that, I have decided to format everyone's profile for them. It's better this way, trust me.


Q: Why do we have to give you a link to an unedited/clean image of our character?

It's, more or less, the same reason as above. Plus, this will be a free graphic from me to you! Enjoy it. I might never do this again, lol.

CHARACTER BLURB: The Jade- fresh out of the oven, as they used to say. At eight years old, she journeyed out of the silk and velvet bedroom her family had given her, to the academy- where everything changed. Meet Masami Kanon, a woman who has lived through various states of economical status. Having been in the pits of poverty through most of her stay at the academy, Kanon was forced to stay in tip top shape, without paying attention to social or personal life, focusing only on her studies. Since then, her mind has been filled with ample knowledge- though her heart has remained untouched for years.

Unfortunately lapis's luck turned sour and quick. In one mission he was entombed in a fiery room and unable to find any water to manipulate he was nearly killed. He was saved by one of his team members, but had received such high degree burns that he was left with a permenent limp, a scarred arm, and only one eye. From there he began to lose everything he held precious: Like his job, his wife, and the clear mind it took to manipulate water.

CHARACTER BLURB: Mid-ranked Soldier for reasons unknown, The onyx was placed where he is now without being told why. He never completed his year long evaluation, because someone in the higher ups thought it was a good idea. He was never told what made them think that. But he doesn't ask questions, he just follows the orders, to the t. He is now one of the top recon agents in his division and he's proud of where he stands in rank, but he wouldn't mind a promotion either.

However she had learnt to restrain her rage more under the repeated preaches and warnings of her tutors.
A naturally gifted combatant, possibly related to her violent nature. However she is not bright at all when it comes to academic achievements – her grades could merely meet the entry requirements of SA.

Forming him into the best he could possibly be, to honor the memory of his great ancestor. However despite the fact that he was blessed with the competence and strength to excel as a Synergist, part of himself is unsatisfied with the path in which was chosen for him; although this silent notion is one he will take to his grave. The Diamond is a born leader. He kept a small faction of trusted friends by his side during his time in the Academy and did his best to be a positive influence on the other's he connected with. And to this day his job as a S-1 Agent has been his only lover.
