I was trying to edit a character to make it from private to public, but it won't change the status?
Yes - someone else reported the issue in their welcome thread. >_<; I've already reported it to alxjvr and I think that's one of the bugs he fixed on the dev site last night. I'm not sure when the fixes (and new things) will port themselves over to the live site, but it should be fixed soon. :3
