I was wondering if you might add a "searching for an rp" thread, so that users could post a full profile of themselves including their likes, dislikes, favorite genres, and ideas that they want to develop. I was thinking that it could be modeled on a 1 on 1 searching thread? That way users could collaborate while knowing each other's preferences.
Just a thought...

What sort of format would you suggest? I can put it up in the first post and if people more or less followed it, it would provide more or less the same sort of information (making it easier for people to find what they're looking for in it. :3 )

That would be awesome and just a single thread and the wonders of the F3 key would work, I'm sure.
If I may butt in, I think something similar to what's found on the Character Pool would be good. So it should probably have:
Method: (fully featured, 1on1, chat, any?)
Rating: (adult or not)
Genre:
I guess one could also use:
Setting: (if you have a particular setting? Bit more descriptive than genre: Like, only modern rps, only fantasy, only fantasy set in xxxyear medieval, only sci-fi on a space station, only apocalyptic if it was via human self-destruction, whatever? XD)
If you have a particular character you'd like to play: (link or description or something?)
That's just my two cents.
What Tahiel has suggested is very like what I had imagined.
It could also feature a section for likes/dislikes because I know it can be hard to narrow down exactly what kind of game to set up with a partner or a small group.
And a place to link to our characters in the pool would be great. Something along the lines of "Would like to do a fantasy rp with [link to fantasy character in pool] her[/link]."
