Are we not allowed to edit the left column of our profile (the one containing avatar pic, friends, albums, etc.)?
As I understand it falls under inactive modules. When you edit the background and make it transparent, it works only the moment you save, but if you refresh the page the whole column turns solid color again, while other parts of profile under the same category maintain their transparency('About Me', 'Roleplays', 'Characters', 'Friends tabs'). Is it supposed to be like this?
From my understanding, we cannot edit that panel. I have tried and tried, it hasn't worked. I experienced the same thing you did. And from what I've seen nobody else (that I have noticed) has been able to edit it either. ):

I've actually seen some profiles where it actually sticks - recently. So I guess it works on some and not in others.

Have you tried inserting, say, a white background to see if adding a background will make the color coding stay? o_o; (I never customize my profile and keep them off after having too many custom profiles sear my eyeballs, so I don't know much about what to try in order to troubleshoot.)
