Harbour city [?? & Gess Jahd]

Orinda Kurjenmiekka woke up to the day with a groggy mood. She rolled around in the moldy smelling blanket she slept in. Even though to be more precise, the whole basement smelled moldy and she always felt groggy in the morning.
Orinda called this small basement room her home, since had nothing else. One day she had got fed up with sleeping in thieves' guild and being worried for her possessions constantly so she started to search for a haven for herself in this busy harbour city. After a couple of days she had stumbled upon a broken basement hatch on a questionable alley and crawled in. The door to the house above it had been nailed shut and stairway had collapsed who knows how many years ago. It was dark, cold, moist and unhealthy but it was safe and no-one had ever got in here except for the few people she had invited.

Orinda swept the messy, black hair from her face and picked up this and that to be prepared for the day. She didn't even want to think what she looked like, her parents would've been terrified for sure. She had lices and she smelled bad too but ironically getting into a bath house was impossible when she looked like that. She got her drinking water from one of the pump wells from a distance away.

Orinda had left her home farm about an year ago, came to the nearest city and found out no-one wanted to take her as their apprentice. Returning to the home empty handed would've been humiliating so she stayed on the streets and joined the thieves guild. First it had been really hard not to get noticed but little by little she had improved by trial and error. She didn't know how to read or write, so she sent now and then some money at home and got the address right from an example paper she had.

When she had walked for a while towards the market place near the shore, she started eyeing the people walking by. You either went after easy or lucrative victims. On good cases both applied to a same person.
After a while someone walked closer to Orinda while she pretended to look through the onions which were for sale. It was really hard to determine was this passer by wealthy or not, but it wasn't a trick or anything to have the hand placed in the right position to check through possessions.

Kenji stared at the onion in his hand with a thinly veiled look of disgust hid by his lanky fiery red hair. "Filthy" He should've hid his money but forgot about it when his mother threw him out of the house screaming "If you aren't back by sundown I'll skin you alive!" Just to feed some lazy noble some of her famous french onion soup. So with a angry attitude and a pocket of his moms money all he could concentrate on was picking one of the most vile onions to displease her. Never again would she be so cruel.

((Sorry for being so late -_-))
