no the binding is because if she is bound to him and his will is for her to heal her body can double it's healing ability but without being bound she doesn't have the best healing powers for herself. Also since her kind thrive off of any type of close contact if they were near death and then had sex they would get a major boost in energy, like succubi and incubi
