Synopsis
The betrothed left behind when Rynn ran away. He intends to get his bride back one way or another.

Description
He is handsome, with long black hair and fine features. Very typical countenance of the Tyrisian Nobles, and even more typical of the Randersvayne family. He is slim, with enough muscle tone not to be considered skinny. In his normal life he wears all the finery one would expect, but once on board the Ardent, he tones it down greatly. His clothes are still expensive but not tot he caliber he normally wears. They are functional.

Personality
Nathaniel is a cold and cruel man. He is possessive and loves nothing more than power and his art collection. What makes him dangerous is his intelligence, he is very good at using his charisma to get people to believe him. Not to mention he is quite skilled in polite manners. Nathaniel cannot stand to lose or be slighted, so when he was jilted by Rynn he was filled with a great rage and a greater desire to have her back and see her humbled to him. When she returned, she would pay dearly. He would never allow her to walk about alone again, or so much as leave his room when they were home. He is not a pleasant man.

Equipment / Abilities
He has guards. He needs no equipment, thought he carries a rapier than he is intermediately skilled with.

History
He was born into the lap of luxury as all nobles are. Nathaniel is from the proudest family in Cann and the most respected. His father made him learn some swordplay and travel on a navy vessel for a while so he would appreciate what he had. Nathaniel has never been denied anything in his life, and no woman has ever refused him. When he came of age to take a bride, he picked Rynn Arokit, the daughter of the Arokit family, the second highest ranking family in Cann. She was everything a man like him deserved in a wife, beautiful, fiery, rich, respected. Her father was thrilled at Nathaniel's interest and so their marriage was arranged very quickly. Nathaniel was very much looking forward to having Rynn as his bride, and in his mind, his possession. And then she ran.

The night of their debut ball as a couple, after Nathaniel propositioned her, Rynn ran off on some sort of silly adventure. Nathaniel was infuriated and so came up with a plan to find her. He sent scouts after her , but as they proved to be inept he knew he needed to do it himself. They weren't willing to be as cruel as he was. Nathaniel caught wind of Captain Fort taking a journey to the shift particle, something he knew Rynn was after. He smooth talked the queen into allowing him to accompany Fort and so now Nathaniel is on the Ardent, doing very little and pretending to be a bereaved fiance. Of course, his true intentions are much different and he refuses to tell anyone.
