Personality
Rather patriarchal, Jian is known to protect and defend the ones close to him. He can come off as gruff, mean or even a bit anti-social sometimes, but he has a soft side. Only the ones he particularly likes get to see this gentler side. As Jian gets to know someone, he starts to let his guard down and trust them. To earn his trust and respect is an honor.


Equipment / Abilities
Equipment:

A set of clothing (long-sleeved undershirt, gloves, tunic, belt, robe, pants and boots.), a set of armor (padded cloth under-armor, bracers, spaulders, a cuirass, and greaves), a falchion, 2 belt pouches (one on each hip: one contains a mini first-aid kit, other contains a wallet), and a metal eyepatch.

Abilities:

Seeds-

-The Protector's Shield: Used to summon a magical shield. When activated, this ability forms a protective barrier around a target, protecting what is inside from physical damage. This shield will gradually weaken as it takes damage and will break after too much. Use this barrier wisely-it can only be used once per day.

-The Blessing of Light: Used to summon light- even in the darkest of caves. Wield the ability to be a pure white torch at any given time during the journey. Yet the power doesn’t quite end there with enough of an application it can be a searing and white hot force used for destruction. Yet keep in mind that the Goddess of Ivory didn’t ever wish ill will on anyone- and so using the power in that abundance might cause for ramifications.


History
Hailing from the City of Ebony, Jian is a well-known armorer and good friend. He currently has two daughters: one is his biological offspring, (Zhi, age 9) the other is adopted (Shu, age 7). Jian also has a younger sister (Hai, age 30). Jian doesn't like to go on long trips, but leaves his children in the care of his sister when he has to.



Due to a few incidents in his past, he's a bit guarded when it comes to interacting with people that are new to him. He doesn't talk about these incidents...he's actually quite sensitive about it, though he'd never admit it. He's fought a few battles and gotten a few scars along the way in his life, both literally and figuratively. A rough and tumble kind of guy, he can be your best friend or your worst enemy.
