Michael likes wearing neutral colours all year round, like comfortable clothes
that are easy to move in. He prefers hoodies and looser fitting pants,
preferably jeans, and runners.
Personality
Michael
is a friendly, naive boy, who loves making new friends. Unfortunately, he is
scared of many things, and often reacts without thinking, and tends to rely on
his sister Mary to help him. For this reason, you rarely see one without the other.
Even with this, he reacts calmly in crisis situations, maintaining a level
head, while his sister tends to panic.
Equipment / Abilities
Michael
is better at elemental magic of any kind, though when he gets scared he often
loses control and accidentally does things. His father taught Michael self
defence, but isn’t very confident in it and would prefer to use his spells.
The
two siblings also have a hereditary ability of seeing beings’ auras, though at
the moment, they are only really familiar with other magic users and shape
shifters’ auras.
History
Michael
and his sister Mary used to live a peaceful life with their parents, as well as
outside family members. They grew up knowing that they could do magic, seeing
as their line had always had spell casters in it, for as many generations as
anyone could remember. No one in their town knew, and they were all fine with
that.
Unfortunately,
one day at school, Michael’s magic got out of hand. Another boy in his class
had been bullying him, and finally having enough, Michael fought back.
Unfortunately, his magic fought back with him, and he froze the boy’s feet to
the ground. Everyone in their class found out, and the two siblings, and all of
their family members, were captured, starting a witch hunt that lasted for
months. During that time, the two were kept in a separate cell from their
parents, cold and hungry, only being given water.
It
was the day of the public hanging of their whole family when they managed to
escape. They were on the platform, the first ones to be hung, when a girl in
the audience changed into a huge cat and started mauling the guards, and
cutting the ropes holding Michael and his sister. Michael watched as the
girl-turned-cat tried to save the rest of their family, but was blocked by
armed guards and enraged civilians. He finally saw the girl go down from a hit
to the head that made her shift back to human form, and then a man tried to get
to her. He didn’t see anything for a few minutes, just trying to keep himself
and his panicking sister out of the way so they wouldn’t get hurt, and then the
girl grabbed their arms and started running with them. They’ve been running
ever since, with Michael trying to get more control over his magic so they
could stay hidden, and sticking to forested areas whenever they could. They found Teelu about 5 months ago, and have
been living there ever since.
