I resent the assumption that all RPers are women. Just because I am articulate and creative does not necessarily mean that I'm unable to hunt and kill my own food, craft things from wood and metal, shave with a straight-razor, buy underwear in packs of five for ten bucks, or make due with three pairs of shoes for all occasions.
Not to say that women are incapable of all that, but the penis thing is a dead give away...

Tele and I'd had a nice little discussion a few days bck (when I wasn't quite as tipsy and tired as I was in the posts above) about how odd it is that games like NWN2 have barely any female RPers and forum roleplay has barely any male.
But yes, I am fully aware that there are some very badass men among us. xD
The Guide's post is gonna be really sort, typing it up in the 5 minutes or so before heading out to work. Otherwise it'd be posted hours and hours from now.
I have done roleplaying on a site called Twitter (still do...) and on there I read an interesting tidbit, that 90% of all roleplayers (on Twitter I assume) is female.
The anonymously of the Internet makes gender difficult to ... "get" (in the lack of a better word). I'm male too btw.
You only got the avas and unless you got an ava that fits your gender it's difficult to figure out. Like I thought Strude was a guy until I saw her livestream.
Pahahaha... I laughed so hard when I saw the super excited gif and then LOL VAGINAS underneath. Made my day, honestly.

Trust me, I know! I've seen guys do a better job writing girls than girls can do! Maybe it's because guys spend so much time observing girls that they get a better sense for them, or the way they write seems less "standard" because they aren't just writing up themselves, which I've seen a lot of girls do.

I've RPed both genders, but my females are somewhat wooden. Can react in the way that I've seen women react, but they just feel forced, and that does not a fun time for me make. So I'll stick to dudes. More power to you switch-hitters; you've got my respect.

That's actually rather interesting. We had a lecture about how people think things they haven't seen is something else than it is. That is why people say things they haven't tasted before "tastes like chicken" because that is the closest thing they can relate it too!

From my experience at Twitter people have said that girls can write/play guys and do it very well.
I can't play a male all that well. Which is sad... it makes me feel like a n00b, but my men always being fucking pyshcotic and cold and incapable of emotions other than bad/scary ones *cough* Nathaniel *cough* or total feminine wussies. I have no middle ground lol.
Which is why I try to stick to chicks
I got my start playing a male character, so I don't feel too bad about my abilities, but like you I do tend to have them lean towards certain personalities. Like my male characters have way less diversity than my females do. My men always end up being romantics, shmoozers and things of the like.

I don't have a gender preference but all of my characters have a mental disorder, trauma or phobias... etc. ^ ^;
Just got home. Freaking out a tiny bit haha.
My project is ending sooner than we all thought (I think plans got changed), they told us it may be ending as soon as the end of next week. Since we are rushing to meet that deadline and are apparently WAY behind (big surprise, we have to keep re-confirming the same damn bugs every day because the devs won't No Bug the stuff they don't want to fix), our coordinator let us know that we can expect to be working from 8 am to 10 pm most of the week--to 11:30 pm at the latest. Add to that, that either I will have no work after the project is done (I may have to wait between projects, OR they may not want me back at all...) or I will go straight to a new project that could potentially ALSO be overtime every day....yeah. Yikes!
So now that I've primed you all for guilting, MAKE ME HAPPY WITH POSTS!

Hmmmm I doubt I can under your characters. ^ ^; If you're that desperate I can post 'em under 'Lia' and you can just include a little pic at the top of your post to show who is actually the character? I'm sure all your poor players will be understanding and adjust to a temporary switch.
Ack...even as a co-GM it doesn't let you post as any character?
My only options appear to be *checks* Lia or Tassa... ><
