With short fiery hair that's always a wavy mess, eyes like storm clouds and filled with the same energy and anger, and ivory skin marked with freckles and old, long-healed scars, Alex would certainly be something to look at if she wasn't so short. The girl only stands at five feet tall, much to her chagrin, and as a result most people's vision passes right over her. It doesn't help that she's skinny as a rail and wasn't given much in the way of curves, leaving her a more boyish figure which her toned muscle only makes worse. Still, she draws in both girls and boys who bother to pay attention, and she works hard for that, not that she'd ever admit it. Loose t-shirts, skinny jeans, and beat up Vans, just enough makeup to cover dark circles from sleepless nights and any bruises remaining from the last fistfight, and comic book accent pieces all come together to form a carefully styled yet low-energy look.

There is one word to describe Alex: Hotheaded. She seems to think she can make up for her diminutive size with an over-sized personality, especially when it comes to her reactions, which are almost always angry. She's quick to anger, yet slow to forget, which is unfortunate, considering how destructive she tends to be when angry. In the instances when Alex doesn't seem to be upset, however, could lead you to believe that this anger is a pretense, as she's actually very smart and generally friendly as long as she doesn't dislike you. She's very sarcastic, and her humor tends to be a bit biting, but if she legitimately hurts you and realizes she will feel bad. Not apologize, though. She seems to think she's above that, which is ironic, given her height.

Alex grew up with her dad barely around and a mom who was pretty much a housewife, but never seemed to have time for her. The only real meaningful interaction she had with a family member was her twin sister, Amelia. The two girls were inseparable for the first 16 years of their lives, until one day when Amelia was driving home from a friend's house she was hit by another driver. She died instantly, leaving Alex alone and suffering from the loss. It's not really known whether grief had changed her, since she was never very close with most other people; the only one who seemed to notice any difference was Clara, who says that she was a lot more closed off and angry than she had been in the past.
