Synopsis
Look inside my soul & you can find gold & maybe get rich. Look inside of your soul & you can find doubt & never exist.

Description
Saika's appearance is anything, but conventional. Dressed somewhere between cute and yakuza, one often wonders how much of her fashion was borne out of imitation of Eastern women and how much of it was borne from her eccentric mind. True to her heritage, she dresses in a kimono top and a bandaged top with only a pair of shorts (if they can be called that) and fishnet stockings to cover her legs, excluding the tattoo. That four (or maybe it was five)-hour beauty was a bit of a pain, but it was a great achievement for her to not only pay for it, but also to actually get it. She is rather picky about what she wears so it isn't often that you will find her buying drastically new things, even if she'll never wear the same outfit twice in a row. Her facial expressions tend to be non indicative of her mood. It's always a smile or sometimes a smirk if she's excited. Her back is never quite straight, exuding a casual demeanor as she fiddles with her favorite weapon (the shuriken) and lets her kimono top drape around her arms.

Personality
Saika is a person bereft of verbosity. She keeps her words short and to the point, choosing to sacrifice eloquence for precision of phrasing. Her diction could be considered rather plain, with an average vocabulary. Superfluous platitudes get nothing done after all, why use them? They are wasted words for wasted chatter. Wasted chatter is not welcome regardless of whether it is a social ritual or for the sake of deciphering information. However, her degree of brevity depends on how much she knows about something. For example, she may be more willing to explicate upon information of her latest excursion than say, rocket science. In particular, her answers about personal information are carefully worded with little to no explanation. This is because ignorance (both hers and others) frustrates her. Unless one has at least read about something they have no right to be spouting nonsense. For that reason, she visits the library in her free time to fill in the gaps of knowledge where she can. Knowledge is another form of power and power is welcome in all forms.

She is also a capricious sort, but not in the traditional sense. While Saika is fickle in many things, she needs a few constant threads in her life. To say, routines will utterly bore her. The repetition numbs her and to her, that is not living. To her, living is to always be running even if you come back to the same home every night. The extent of her constants are mainly of people. While residency is easy to come by, the right atmosphere and the right crowd is a different league. Even if they are not friends, they need to be people she can gel with.  Similarly, she likes to improve her base fighting style. Saika often practices different tactics or styles, not recognizing the line between crime and simple battle. She chooses to ignore the means of getting to an end as long as the results she wants are delivered. It does not matter how her opponent has their own rules of engagement, that's no concern of hers. Why should one limit their chances of fighting, surviving even, to satisfy their moral code? In asking that, one should realize that Saika herself is not amoral. She has her own ethics, but looks at fighting in a different perspective. As a person with weak constitution, any fight can be her last. She fights with this in mind, going “all out” no matter the occasion. A sneaky tactic here, an artful dodge there, and especially a dynamic entrance. She knows that that first move is essential no matter what.

Equipment / Abilities
"The closer you look, the less you see."

Saika operates on flash and misdirection. Like a magician she does best when her opponents are focusing solely on her rather than what she's truly planning. Having been raised by advanced metallurgists, she has learned the ability to control and bend metal to her will. For the most part, she uses this in order to forge her own weapons (i.e. shuriken, daggers, string, etc.), but also for distractions. She carries a variety of different bombs/grenades for damage, smoke, and flashes depending on the metal salt that she's used. Though she doesn't know the name for it, thermite and mercury fulminate are two popular choices for her whilst her barely-there belt hides a colorful set of fireworks and sparklers. Her favorite and most secret of weapons is her block of meteorite metal which she constantly morphs.

History
Beyond the Eastern Hemisphere of Rathdon, Riesen attacks were a distant memory, a problem that was swept into the history books as soon as it was over. As much as people wanted to remember they also wanted to forget. They wanted to believe that the attacks were over because if it wasn't...there would be no one to fight back.

Well except for Saika.

Saika was born two years before the end of the war to a blacksmithing family to a small town called Tonbogiri. It was one of three that were rebuilt after the infamous attacks and then named after the Three Great Spears forged by greatest smiths of in Japan's history (the other two being Nihongo and Otegine). Her ancestors, direct descendants of one of the Tokugawa Four Heavenly Kings bestowed a great weapon upon her family to be passed down to the one who would be "chosen" to fight Mother Nature's Twelve Riesen. As expected, Saika laughed at the thought, but once the monsters returned she realized that her powers were no accident. She took up the helm of humanity's savior and left on her journey to find the other eleven warriors.
