Personality
Like most teens her age, Shae could be considered a rebellious girl. When someone sets boundaries, she always feels the need to test them. But unlike some would believe, she has no ill intent. Curiosity is what drives her to learn something new every day - even if that something is dangerous or restricted.
Shae has a tendency to get away with this kind of behavior because of her all around kind personality. Most would say she had a "sweetness" about her, and a youthful smile that could revitalize any downtrodden spirit. Even those that some may think don't deserve her compassion will receive it, because to her - everyone deserves a chance. Or two, or maybe even three. Which unfortunately, can lead to bad judgement calls on her part, but that sweet naivety is something she may never grow out of.
It's not the personality you'd expect from someone who refuses to speak!

Hobbies// One of her most odd hobbies would be her passion for collecting odd trinkets and nick-knacks. It may be boring to some, but it's delightful for her. Each item she finds tells a story. But other than that, anything related to the sea draws her attention - she's not sure why, but something about being submersed in water brings peace to her soul.
Interests// Shae adores the theater, always has. But unfortunately, despite her love for it, she would never be caught on the stage - well, at least not when the curtains are drawn and an audience is present. Instead, the fiery red head stands on the side lines - comfortably - as head of the stage crew. She can't manage to speak up in class - let alone on a big stage!
History
Born into a family of six older siblings, all of which are girls - Shaelyn would forever become used to a constant state of chaos and drama surrounding her. Most would assume that it was easy to become lost amongst all those children, but the little red head was always at her fathers side. She got plenty of attention, sometimes even more than her sisters did.
Her parents owned a Sea Park Resort and Shae along with her other six sisters played a big role in many of the performance acts. Ever since she was old enough to swim, she was seen splashing alongside the dolphins and other aquatic life in the park. Life was easy, and Ariel was never one to complain... that was... until she turned fifteen.
Shae was becoming bored with her day to day life. Sure, she had the comfort of her family, but something was missing. Being home schooled all her left kept her from experiencing what other normal teenagers her age could. Shae wanted nothing more than to experience the rest of the world and to break free of the life her parents predestined for her! She didn't want to be trapped her whole life! Then one fateful day, a letter arrived informing her that she was accepted to the prestigious Velubien Academy! This was it! Her ticket out! Unfortunately, as expected her father refused to let his little girl go - but Shaelyn was determined, and with little hesitation... left her home in the dead of night.
Upon arrival at Velubien Academy - it was everything she could have dreamed of. But sadly, Shae found it impossible to speak up in the sea of students and faculty. She had grown so accustomed to her life at home that she had no idea how intimidating the real world would be. To this day, Shaelyn has not spoken a word to anyone. Aside from finding comfort in joining The Theater Club, nothing has yet to stir her heart into finding the courage to let her voice be heard.
Could love be the key to unlocking her true voice?
