As with most good-looking, highly sought-after men, Takada Ryuu is under the impression that every women (and then some men) have fantasies about getting with him — that all women can't help, but want to want him. And, unfortunately, the female population of Sacred Heart High School (サイクレドハート高校) has done absolutely nothing to reign in his rather impressive ego. With girls fighting each other silly to be his girlfriend, Ryuu has never run short on playmates or company or attention.
He has also, as a byproduct of popularity, never run out of "trouble."
Unfortunately for the girls, who all desperately want to be Miss Takada Ryuu, the Takada Ryuu has absolutely no intentions of settling down any time soon. He likes his lifestyle of "revolving doors" and can't understand why anyone — except for the desperate and the delusional — would ever want to tie themselves to someone else so soon After all, they're seventeen — they're still in high school — they have their whole lives to find a wife or shit like that.
Arrogant and conceited, Ryuu is the typical combination of too much confidence and not enough punishment. His parents, who are forever busy with their own lives, can't seem to be bothered with their son and society, too indifferent to his plight, can't be assed to give a fuck. So, all in all, Takada Ryuu has walked through life with a blank check on just about everything.
And, in case you missed it, "a blank check" is a thinly veiled metaphor for his good looks because, let's be honest, Ryuu hasn't got much else to go by.
