A hilarious parody game where you can play a Mary Sue or Gary Stu to your heart's content in a (heavily anime flavored) high school setting. Though the game is played to be over the top and for laughs, it doesn't mean that you can't actually play your character "straight" - as in, these over the top abilities, emotions, and situations don't necessarily have to be played only for the laughs. Go big! See where you can take it.

The Boundaries is the place where supernatural creatures go to remove themselves from the human world. They go there to find safety from humans who have shown they want to wipe out every last supernatural creature they can find. Within the Boundaries, vampires, shapeshifters, mermaids, witches and other supernatural creatures are safe to live and to love as they please in the town they have created for themselves. But, Humans search for them still. They will stop at nothing to find the Boundaries and purge the supernaturals from the world.
This is a new game, but it seems to be pretty active with the Creator, AkumaTenshi, taking an real interest in it to keep it running and get new players. With the simple idea and the creativity of the players, this has the potential to grow and be an interesting game. It seems like the sort that a player can easily join due to the nature of it without having to catch up on all the posts. Started at the end of May 2012, it already has almost 200 posts! For those looking for a laid back, beginners game with a modern magical feel, this is a great place to start.

I love the concept of this "game". It is not a game so much as a private tutorial to help new and experienced roleplayers improve their skills. Each person who signs on gets assigned a 'tutor' or 'mentor' selected from a list of some of the best roleplayers on this site. They create a character who is dropped into a scenario, then they play with their mentor getting tips, tricks and advice along the way.
This is not a game so much as a place where anyone can go to hone their skills. A place to get constructive criticism without feeling awkward. The friendly(ish) teachers only want to see you get better and have your improvement at heart.

PALAIMA is a large world where the players dictate the plot and direction. The world is a co-creation between the game creator and all the players within it. The players are free to create races, cultures, magic, disciplines and even plot lines! Because of this, the world is incredibly diverse and expansive. This is also a very laid back game with an easy going pace. Players and characters can weave in and out freely. This means you don't have to put all of your focus onto this game, it can be a good time filler between lulls in other games or something you put a lot of dedication into. Based off of the manga, Bloody Monday, a story of seemingly ordinary kids, who get themselves caught in a mess. A rag tag group of teens consisting of Archers, Combat Specialists, Thugs, Genius Prodigies, and the all important Hacker band together to help the Third-Eye(Japan's best National Security) catch the suspect of the occult event, Bloody Monday. Bloody Monday is an event where people's faces would break out and swell, there body parts fall off, they begin to eat each other or explode if they live.
