JD was trying this damndest to ignore the fact that his back pocket was vibrating more than usual. Someone was trying to get a hold of them, and unfortunately they would have to hold their horses- tight- like almost suffocatingly tight. Haimon was a lot to handle, and he was fast as well as ruthless. Yet JD was well armored, and was buffered against the individuals strongest of offense. That still didn't mean that the other man would give up so easily. Next thing the blonde haired boy knew as that he was attempting to fend of a flurry of blows, and slowly losing his ground. JD was an offensive player with a strong defense. Sadly enough what he didn't have was the agility to dodge- he was fast, but that was only due to his increase in strength- he was not dexterous. He winced as a few blows made their way through and jarred him from the inside out- that was going to be a nasty bruise- he hoped. He had figured that he would drop his guard shortly when Haimon was just beating him senseless, and try to deliver a powerful blow while taking one of Haimons. JD knew that all Silver needed was a moment.
Sadly- that moment didn't happen.
Haimon managed to deliver a heavy blow to chin as JD's hand didn't quite manage to brush off the other's punch- and as the man went in to finish him off JD realized that his sacrifice in taking this hit to deliver his own might be more fatal than he realized.
About that time the game changed. The world around him erupted in pitch darkness, and JD found himself both severly dizzy and amazed at the same time. Vertigo washed over him as he near about floated through the air, and that surprise mixed with the fear of the unknown caused him to lose his armoring. That of course made his organs return back to their destructible selves, and for a wave of fatigue to roll over him. JD let out a hacking cough and blood erupted into his mouth- a tangy coppery taste that managed to infiltrate his sinuses as well. His lip was split, his nose bruised, and he honestly didn't know how many more covered his torso. This would be the time Eos would heal him, and they would be the indestructible duo- but now he was just a wounded boy hovering in a dark, eyeball-filled vortex. "Si-silver," he croacked. He hoped to the heavens that this was her doing and not Haimon's finishing move.
