October: I took his hand and squeezed it gently. "I don't know what it is. The doctors don't even know. It's a rare disease.. Probably some sort of cancer.. My body stopped responding to treatment a few years ago. The doctor said I maybe have 2 years left... And it's been almost 2 years.." I looked down and let go of his hand. I can't bear to look at him when I say this.
Ash: I smiled gently and sat down next to her. "I've been a little busy." I looked at her. "How are you?"
Jake
It took me a while to let this sink in.. I saw the way she looked away. She never told me this? Why? I didn't say anything.. And if I did it would probably come out inaudible. I pulled her gently close to me, and I kissed her forehead. I just wanted her in my arms right now..
Lia
I shrugged. "I'm fine, you know, the usual.." I said and I looked into his eyes. He looked nice today.
October: I buried my face in his chest and I wrapped my arms around him tightly, holding back tears. "I didn't tell anyone because I didn't want people to pity me or act weird around me just because I'm sick.. I just wanted to be treated like everyone else.."
I whispered.
Ash: I smiled and stared back at her. "Well that's good. I'm glad your safe.." I said softly, looking her over. She is very beautiful, for a human..
Lia
I smiled at him, and I looked at the TV. "Thanks.. Me too.." I said. I had a band-aid on my finger, I had gotten a good cut. I was slicing tomatoes n hour or so ago for a sandwich, and it cut me good.. I hoped that it wouldn't bug him that much.
Jake
I shook my head. "You can tell me anything.. You should have told me a while ago.. I would have still treated you the same.. We should get you to the hospital.. They can help you." I said, and I felt my eyes water slightly. I couldn't lose her.. I couldn't lose another person close to me..
October: I shook my head. "No baby they can't help me... Not anymore.. My body stopped responding to treatment. All we can do now is wait.. I'm sorry..." I whispered. I looked up at him and wiped his tears gently. "Please don't cry..."
Ash: I glanced at her bandaid and looked away quickly. I could smell her blood but I just fed and should be okay for right now. There was an awkward silence and I looked down. "So.."
Jake
I tried to stop my tears, but only a couple fell.. All we can do is wait.. Wait for what? I couldn't lose another person.. No.. "They have to be able to do something.." I said, and I calmed my breathing down a bit. I've known her all my life.. How did I not know this?
Lia
I saw him looking at my bandaid, and I his it under my other hand. "You like movies?" I asked him. "I have a couple we could watch, if you're up for it." I said, and I walked over, and sat by my DVD tower I had built up over the years.
October: I shook my head. "No, baby there is nothing anyone can do. It's so rare that they haven't tried to make a cure. It's not painful, only every once in a while. I'm so sorry.." I buried my far in his chest and a few tears fell.
Ash: "Sure." I said, clearing my throat. I leaned back and looked around. "Nice place." I commented.

Jake;
I nodded.. I didn't know how I could handle this, I guess we had to go day by day.. Me and her had to stay strong through this.."I'll be by your side with this.. Okay? I'll love you, and take care of you.." I said. I would have her eat more, and I would give her pain medication if she needed it. I would treat her the same, as the love of my life. But at the same time, I would help her.
Lia;
"This movie I hear is good. I haven't watched it yet." I said, taking the plastic wrap off, and I opened the case, and put the DVD in. "Hope you like Adam Sandler." I said, sitting beside him again.

October: I nodded and looked up into his eyes. "I love you so much Jake... Please promise me, that no matter what happens to me you'll keep on living and stay strong.. And be there for your sister.."
Ash: I smiled. "Adam Sandler is hilarious.." I may be old but that doesn't mean I'm not familiarized with modern day people and technology.

Lia
I chuckled at the scene, the movie was calls little Nicky. I've never seen it before, even though it came out in the late 90's.
Jake;
I nodded. I hated thinking about life without her.. But it was reality.. "Yes.. I promise.." I said and I kissed her softly.. I had her in my arms now, this was all that mattered at the moment,,
October: I closed my eyes and kissed him back gently, clinging onto him. I'm so scared. I don't want to die, I'm only 17. I can't leave him here alone. I want to be with him forever.
Ash: I smiled at some parts, but I never actually laughed. Humor now is so strange..
Lia;
When the movie was over, I stretched my legs. "Can we go to the tree?" I asked him. It was a blast last time.. I really enjoyed it.
Jake;
We just sat there for a while, in each others arms.. I soon found her breathing becoming steady.. And more better. She was asleep now..
October: I slept soundly in his arms, glad that that burden of telling him was lifted from my shoulders.
Ash: I smiled. "Yeah, sure." I pulled her onto my back and we were at the top of the tree in a minute.

Lia;
It amazed me how quickly and moved.. It was at the speed of light.. I swear. I looked around when I was at the top, the city looked busy up here, and I loved the view.
(Sorry I took a while, me and my mom watched the walking dead.)
(Timeskip to where? Like, what should happen? And it's okay.)
(Maybe Jake could find her dead.. But she's not completely. He performed CPR, and she is okay, and then she could get progressively better and beat the cancer?)

~3 months later~
I got worse. Way worse. I could hardly stay out of bed. Jake was out, visiting Lia and I stood up, going to the kitchen to so I could try to eat. I opened the fridge and then I got really dizzy. I suddenly fell and blacked out. This must be what death feels like.
Jake;
I said bye to Lia, before leaving. I loved spending time with her. On the way back, I got October an iced tea, and me a soda. She was not doing well at all.. But she was always up for a good drink of iced tea. I got back, and I set the drinks on the table. "October, I got you some t-" I was cut off.. October was on the kitchen floor, not moving at all. I quickly ran to her, I checked for a pulse, nothing.. She was not breathing either. I quickly performed CPR.. "October... No... No... Don't leave me here... Please.." I said, my eyes quickly filling with tears.. heart sank further and further...
October:
I was walking in darkness, desperately searching for the light. Searching for Jake. I can't leave him. I suddenly saw a silver thread and I grabbed it. I could hear Jake's voice. The thread slowly started to pull me and I let it. Suddenly light bursts through my vision and I opened my eyes, looking up at Jake, my heart racing. Still very dizzy.. I closed my eyes, just wanting to sleep.
Jake;
I had stopped the CPR.. I thought this was the end of everything.. I was sitting beside her, just praying.. Hoping that she could come back to me.. I I held her hand, and I felt it move slightly.. I could feel a pulse.. I looked at her, to see her eyes looking into mine. "October.." I quickly picked her up, being very careful with her fragile body, I laid her in the bed. "Honey, say something... Stay awake.." I said, touching her cheek.. I had no idea how long she was dead.. But I somehow brought her back..
October:
I tried to keep my eyes open and I looked up at him. "Sit me up..." I breathed. When he did I held onto his arm. "I need water.. Please..." I said hoarsely. I shook my head, trying to stay awake. What just happened?
Jake;
I nodded, and I rushed to the coffee table in the living room, I grabbed her iced tea, and I rushed back, wand handed it to her. "Here." I said, and I felt her for head. She was cold. I covered her with a blanket and I kissed her softly..
Lia;
I heard a knock on my door.. It was a loud knock.. Unlike Ash's .. I knew it wasn't him.. I was scared now.. I didn't answer it, I just ran into the bathroom, and locked the door..
October:
I kissed him back for a second, then I pulled away to drink my iced tea. I drank it fast. I set it down and I leaned into Jake, closing my eyes, my breathing slowly returning to normal.
Ash:
Lia and I became great friends really fast. She convinced me to get a new cell phone and I did, although my only contacts are Lia, Jake, and October. I walked around town, very bored and tired.
Jake;
"Do you remember what happened?" I asked October.. I ran my hand through her hair gently, just glad she was okay. She had a small bruise on her forehead, maybe from falling..
Lia;
I quickly called Ash. "Someone is banging on my door.. They are yelling for me to open it.. I don't know who they are.." I said. They kept asking for a john, but there was no john anywhere here..
October: I looked up at him, touching the bruise on my forehead. I winced and sighed. "I was going to get me some food. And then I just fell and blacked out..." I whispered.
Ash: "I'll be there in a few seconds." I said and I hung up. I could hear the banging in the background. I ran as fast as I could and I pushed them from the door, slamming them against the wall. "There is no John living here." I growled at them.
Jake;
I kissed her forhead softly. "I'm glad I found you when I did.. Much longer .. Would have been bad.." I said, I looked into her eyes. "I thought I lost you, October..."
Lia;
The banging on my door stopped.. I waited until I heard Ash, to step out of thew bathroom and open the door. When he stepped in, I closed it quickly. "I have no idea who they were.."
October:
I gently placed my hand on his cheek. "I know baby.. But I'm here... And we'll be okay.." I whispered. I hugged him tightly and kissed his neck. "I'm so sorry.."
Ash:
I looked down at her and made sure she was okay. "I don't know either. Maybe they got the wrong apartment or something..." I mumbled.
(Hmm thinking of an idea of what should happen..)
Lia;
I saw how he was looking at me, a little worried."I'm fine, no one hurt me." I said. I looked down at my feet, then back up at him.. He looked stressed.. Maybe he hadn't fed in a while. He had small bags under his eyes. "You okay? You don't look well.." I said.
Jake;
She had nothing to be sorry about.. Everything would be okay.. "Sh.. Just rest now, okay..." I said. When she was relaxing, I whispered sweet nothings in her ear.

October:
I relaxed against him and I closed my eyes, listening to him speak. I smiled and looked up at him. "Jake.. I'm afraid to go to sleep..." I whispered. What if I don't wake up?
Ash:
I blinked and rubbed my eyes. "I'm fine. Just a little tired. I haven't slept in a while..." I mumbled, glancing at her.
Jake;
I kissed her forehead. "ill be here.. Okay? I'll make sure that you're okay.." I said, and when she closed her eyes and relaxed, I counted how many times she breathed, just trying to make good out of the situation..
Lia;
I stepped closer to him, his eyes has a tint of red.. "It looks like you haven't ate in weeks.." I said softly. I knew when he lied, he wasn't just tired.. I knew he was thirsty too..
