Maria followed behind Maya and was a little surprised when Enzo fell down. " You're good at this " she said softly crawling into the vent and following Enzo down the vent and falling onto the floor at the end. " If you work on these guys I can look for the book " she suggested looking at Enzo and Kenji. Rika appeared again and yawned softly " time to get to work again? " Rika asked softly and stretching out.
Maya was surpised by Enzo's eagerness, and, while he climbed into the vent, she put the egg carefully in her backpack. She shifted and put it on when she heard a crash. "Enzo?!" She called, immediately climbing in after them, sensing the fall he was taking. She heard talking way down. Then, Enzo landed. Maria went down after Enzo, and also landed, disturbing whatever peace there was before. Maya jumped down the vent, hoping that if they landed okay, so would she. Maya landed on top of Maria with an 'umph'.
Einso clamped his hands together and a spiral pillar of fire spun around Einso shooting large fireballs at offending wizards, also shielding him from close combat attacks. Volitaire pulled his sword out and fought off a wizard using a necromantic staff. He parried the swings of the staff and made quick swipes, cutting their robes and making him fall back. He slammed the staff to the ground and summoned a large undead giant from the ground, made from dead villagers. Einso fires ethereal arrows at the giant behemoth keeping it back while Volitaire went for the summoner. Volitarie surrounded himself in a dark aura growing thorn tendrils and extending them over at the wizard. The wizard attempted to block the tendrils but they slithered around his staff and punctured him deeply. Volitaire threw him up and flash stepped into the air and stabbed him back down, with a floor cracking thud. Einso was summoning more arrows to keep the behemoth at bay. He looked over at the ice spikes from earlier and broke them down into smaller shards and they surrounded the behemoth and all flew into him. The behemoth, unfortunately, remained unharmed. "He's too big.." Einso waved his hand and water followed. It skirted around his feet and he skated over the water, quickly going up the side of the wall and jumping off. The water turned into a large wave and pushed the behemoth against the wall behind him. Einso made a opening motion with the palms of both his hands and a white light formed. He spread his hands apart and a great white beam disintegrated the behemoth. Burning him to charred bone. Einso landed in front the mess. "Whew. Glad that's taken care of." "We should go find the others, Einso." Volitaire ran to the direction everyone else had went, Einso followed close by.
Kuro smiled wickedly as Maria and Maya fell down. "Heheheh, look at these cuties!" He shouted. Chrome, Kuro's partner, smacked him in the back of the head. "What are you doing looking at other girls? don't be stupid, they're our enemy." She yelled out.
Kuro nodded, and took a look at Enzo. "I've seen that one before.." He said. Kuro's fist was surging with a dark, cold aura.

Enzo laid on his back, clearly knocked out from the fall. Kenji stood over him. "Idiot, these guys are about to murder your team. Get up and make yourself useful." Kenji punched him in his nerves, sending pain all throughout his body.

Maria squeaked as Maya fell onto her and laid on the floor. " ouchie.. " she said softly waiting for Maya to get up from her and allow her to get up. " Please get up .. " she asked softly in a strained voice her tail swaying softly and her feet moving a little to get some feeling back in them.
Maya immediately jumped up, too much adrenaline to be uneasy. "We need to go!" Maya tried to help Maria up, but, when she realized Maria would take too long for comfort, Maya summoned the power of the adrenaline and lifted up the light girl, running towards a safe corner. "S-sorry for landing on you," she tried to say as she ran.
The sound of cut metal pierced through Kuro and Chrome's banter. Einso fell through and dashed at Kuro with a sword made of light magic and struck him quickly. Vol fell through and pushed Maya and Maria back. "Leave, now. I'll keep her attention! Einso, help Enzo with with the other man." Volitarie wielded his sword in a two handed position. His aura rising he prepares to swallow his pride and face a woman.
"My pleasure." Enzo said, standing up. One of the soldier cultists wielded a poison blade. He hid behind Enzo, ready to strike.

"Ooh, he's strong." Kuro said as he recovered from Einso's attack. It seemed he had totally ignored it, and was concentrated on the strange magic Enzo was giving off.
"I like how you use fire. I use ice myself, actually." Kuro started talking as if he were in a normal conversation with a friend.

"I see." Enzo replied, narrowing his eyes.
Maria fell back and tumbled a little , shaking off her dizziness and looking at Maya. " So cool... " she said her eyes showing how must she admired her. She went back to the matter at hand. " Rika what's our likely hood of winning? " She asked and looked at her. Rika was a little battered but seamed fine. " I'd say about ... 10 to 1 really, but everyone is working hard and we can always ... " she said softly. Maria got up and dusted herself off noticing how hard everyone was working and smiling. " Maya you're more helpful them me. Want to go help and I'll look after your egg? " She asked softly as an offer, more interested in finding the book then fighting. She wasn't sure how she knew her name but she just seamed to.
Einso huffed. "Ignore me will you.." Einso's face turned into a strong and infuriated frown. He rose his hands and slabs of earth jabbed Kuro from down under, launching him into the air. Einso teleports and backhand swipes Kuro with his light blade. "Acknowledge your oppenents! Never just swat one away! You coward!"
Maya was offput at the thought of giving Maria the egg, but Maria really seemed like someone who would endanger themself before endangering something of yours. Maya took off her backpack and handed it to Maria. "Be careful," she glanced at the battle that waited for her, "and good luck. Find the book." Maya dashed out without another word. Even though her chances of winning were slim, now that protecting others was not in her hands, she was not afraid. Maya maintained her natural sense of smartassery. This was going to be interesting.
Kuro leaned back, giving Einso a creepy glare before realizing who he was. When they both landed on the ground. Kuro's attention shifted towards him. "I know you too... You're a Lucath." He laughed, and then dashed for him. His hand turned into an ice sword. Nearing Einso, Kuro disappeared for a second, and then reappeared behind Einso. His ice sword was stained with blood. "I hate Lucaths." He said.
Chrome saw and knew the blow Kuro performed. She sighed and also noticed that both Volitaire and Maya were standing infront of her. "Do you really want to challenge me now?" She asked them.
Maya leaned in and growled a low, inhuman growl. She wasn't sure of what had just happened, so she glanced at Voltaire in an attempt to see his reaction. "Come and get me." Maya growled again.
Einso hacked up up blood. He knelt over, coughing uncontrollably. "Einso shot a last minute piercing bolt through Kuro's chest before falling over, and passing out." Volitaire turned over and saw his brother fall over from the blow. His eyes was blinded by tears. "E-Einso..?" Volitarie completely ignored Chrome and Maya. He ran over to his brother and held him up. He could see the life beginning to slip from him. Volitaire's tears flooded his face. He buried his head into his brothers chest. The tears began to turn black and drip off his brothers body. Volitaire's aura grew intensely sinister and larger, quickly. At a alarming rate. He put his brother down and his eyes shone a bright yellow from under his hair. The aura growing began to constrict his entire body. He stood motionless for a brief moment before screaming loudly, almost sounding like a blood curtailing roar. So loud it could harm your hearing, and shook the room. Wings spread from his back and folded back. His face looked emotionless. In incomprehensible speech ""You..you took the last of what I have away from me...you're going to give me the last of what you have...! He opened his clawed hand and his sword ripped up from the floor, also, looking more dangerous and sinister. He grabbed it and strikes the floor with it by his side. The flooring around his sword is covered in a thick darkness.

Chrome smirked. A portal opened beside her and she jumped through, coming out the other end behind Maya. "Can you keep up?" She said before swinging her fist towards her head.
Kenji looked down. He had not expected anyone from team Valor to die. This is troublesome. He thought.
"You... you killed Einso..?" Enzo's voice, despite sounding calm, was shaking.

"We'll kill you for this." He said. Enzo's body flashed forward, kicking up dust behind him. He appeared behind Kuro, and kicked him in the back, sending him towards Volitaire.
Volitaire made a insane maniacal laughter and grabbed him with black tendrils spreading from his body, the pierce though him and he tosses Kuro up. Volitaire vanishes and reappears above him, smashing him back down with his feet. The floor cracks and his back snaps. An unsettling breaking sound came from the blow. The tendrils turned into black chains and he tossed him aside across the room. "Hahahaha..! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!" Volitaire laughed with a separate voice joining his. Many afterimages dashing around the room repeated the laugh, the real Volitaire appeared behind Kuro and sliced his back with his sword. The swipe was strong enough to not only cut his back open but knock him to the roof. He crashed through a balance beam and slammed up on the roof. Volitaire growled and roared again, pointing his hand out and firing bolts of shadow energy relentlessly as fast as a gatling gun. Kuro was bombarded with the bolts and black energy overcame his body. Volitaire jumped up with chains coming out his arms and slashed Kuro down, he flew at breakneck speeds coiling him with chains then diving to the ground and pulling both the chains. Kuro was hung by his neck and wrists. Volitaire pulled to the point his bones snapped, his body, already being scourged by the dark magic. Volitarie left him there and watched his body burn. He began to laugh insanely again. "You're life...you're meaningless life, is now mine! ALL MINE!" A deep red aura ripped from the burning body and circulated in Volitaire's hand. Once the body was depleted he crushed it with a overly satisfied smile. "Einso..Einso, I avenged you! Do you forgive my power now!?" Volitaire shouted.
Maria had been searching through the large stacks of books. hearing a loud yell she paused and continued to search. She had the back pack put the wrong way around so it sad against her chest so she could look after it. She had started going through the third pile and suddenly found something behind the books. She crept behind and found a book that looked rare and incredibly old. She grabbed it and turned to everyone. " Hey I think I found it " She called almost slipping on a book before she realized that she'd caught everyone's attention. She lifted i up and a cover slipped off revealing the book was not the real thing. She blinked and sighed. " Damn in... " She said returning to the pile of books.
Volitaire noticed Chrome go through a portal. He narrowed his glare and quickly dashed to her, puller her from the portal before it closes. "Where do you think you're going..?" Volitaire looked down at Chrome and dragged his sword along the ground about to strike her.
Enzo appeared infront of Volitaire, and grabbed his sword with his armored gloves before he could swing on Chrome. "Get a hold of yourself. He said, eyeing Volitaire. "Nobody has to die here, Volitaire... It was my fault that Einso died. I'm the team leader after all." Enzo let go of his sword.
Chrome laid on the floor with a shocked, but annoyed expression. She had seemed to have witnessed the hanging of Kuro. "K-...Kuro?"
Her face was flooded with tears, so much that she didn't take notice of what was happening around her.
"My, My..." Said a sinister voice. Enzo turned to see Void standing at the library entrance.

"And so, the souls of the weak were freed." He said to himself. He turned to Maria, and gazed at her. "Nice try, looking for Aurora while everyone else was distracted. Kufufufu..." He opened the palm of his hand, and a book formed in it. Magical power was surging off of it, indicating that it was the right one. Some of the cultists remaining gazed at the book in wonder and astonishment. "It's only a few minutes until the book can be opened, so I have some play time with you all."
"Are you the leader of Endine? Why are you doing this?" Enzo questioned him. Void put his hand towards his mouth as if to muffle his laugh. "Kufufu, of course I am. But this book isn't really of importance to us." He said. "We were hired to obtain and unlock it." "Wh..What?"
Chrome quickly turned over to Void, tears all over the place. "Void! They killed my Kuro!" She blurts out. Void replied with a laugh, and said "Oh? well, let's not waste any time with them alive." Then, Void jumped up into the air. A mist was trailing from his body.
"You'll pay for what you did to both this village and to Einso."

"Huh? I never expected you to be this fast..." He said. Enzo swinged his leg in an attempt to kick Void back to the ground, but as soon as he made contact, his body changed to mist, and disappeared. He disappeared...! Enzo was kicked in the back and was sent soaring towards the wall. He twisted in the air and landed sideways on the wall, cracking and breaking the wall as he landed on it. "Kuh, what was that?!"
Volitaire's gaze turned more disturbing. He eyed Void and and could see his soul from his glowing yellow eyes. "He's strong..I want his soul for my own.." Volitaire appeared behind Void and shot chains at him. He again turned to a mist and the chains slinged right through. "You play dirty.." Volitaire turned to a angered frown and flew back next to Enzo. "He has to die..Enzo, he can turn to a vapor form and dodge us..there's one thing I can do, but I would need your help.." Volitaire's voice still sounded crazed and echoed with another voice. But he seemed to be in more control. "He has the book...I can't let him live while it's in his possession. I need you to lure him into a spell that I can use only in this form. You will see if this goes successfully." His aura rose and chains wrapped around his wrists and ankles. "Go!" Volitarie vanished into a dark feathery mist.
The mist in the room gathered around, and reformed Void. At this time, Volitaire had disappeard. It was up to Enzo to lure Void into whatever trap Volitaire had going. He flew off of the wall, heading towards Void

He flew up to Void, repeatedly swinging his flaming fists at him. His attacks went right through Void, not affecting him at all. Void grabbed his arm, stopping him from punching anymore, and leaving him in a helpless state for a second. He kneed Enzo in the face, sending him up into the ceiling.
"I got it! He's using illusion magic!" Kenji had been studying Void for a bit, and was able to pinpoint what magic he was using. "In reality, he's actually hiding somewhere else, tricking our senses into thinking the Void we're fighting now is real." Kenji took a look around the library. "Though he's nearby..."
Volitaire was outside the room preparing his spell. He felt a second presence nearby and was confused by what he felt. He saw Kenji scurrying around the Library and wondered what was he doing. He followed Kenji with his spell in hand. "Little Fox." Volitarie said suddenly. "I feel a second presence. One different from Void nearby. Which is impossible, Void is fighting Enzo. Someone else is coming." Volitaire kept focus on his spell, a black void began to whirl around his hand.
Maya had managed to avoid being killed in the commotion, quickly dodging injury when it came for her. Suddenly, she sensed something amiss with her egg. She continued to focus on Chrome until it became too much to ignore. When Chrome was distracted, she ran for Maria. She saw the large pile of books surrounding Maria and the confused and devistated look on her face. Maya stopped her and knelt down in front of her, running her hand on the outside of the backpack. Her eyes became cold and serious as she looked at Maria and said, "I know where the book is."
Void had lost all interest in Enzo once he heard her speak about the book. "Do you now?" He said with a creepy tone. Enzo dropped off of the ceiling and landed on the ground. Kenji hopped up onto his shoulder. "He was bluffing, he doesn't have the book. It was one of his illusions." Enzo looked to Kenji. "I've noticed that." Enzo replied. He ran for Void while he was distracted with Maya, and punched him in the back. The attack had actually hit, and Void stumbled around for a moment before regaining his stance and facing Enzo. "You're getting annoying. I'll end you with this." His voice seemed to have more of a murderous tone then opposed to his creepy one. His red eye shifts to a japanese symbol, meaning 'hell'.
The floors started to crack and the walls began to ooze lava. The cultists that were searching for the book during the fight had been covered in it. "What the...?" Enzo looked around in confusion. "It's another one of his tricks. I've seen it." Kenji said.
"How long are you welps going to play around?" said a familiar voice. Red stood near the library's entrance. It didn't seem as if he was concerned about the lava flowing through the walls. "So this is the guy who's been causing all this trouble?" He smirked at Void. Void's form turns to mist as another form of him sneaks behind Red. "Idiot, watch out!" Kenji cried out, but it was too late. Void had stabbed his spear through Red's body from behind. "What.. is this?" He looked down at the spear poking through him. Not much blood was coming out, so it made for an odd scene. Suddenly, Void and his spear disappeared. Red's eyes closed, and then reopened. His right eye was red, just like Voids.
"What happened to him?" Enzo asked Kenji. Instead of his fox partner replying, Red did. "Body possession magic. It allows me to steal and copy the abilities of whomever I take." He explained. "I can do this as many times as I want." Enzo clenched his fist. "You..."
Black chains pierce Red and pulls the mystified Void out from his body. "Body possession magic is very easy to rip from the hosts body...you coward..." Volitaire pulls him up with his chains, and his other hand charges a black and white magic pulse that turns the room black and white. Vol prepares to strike Void with his hand.
Maria nodded and Maya and handed her back her backpack but kept kneeling down, using the books as I makeshift cover. " Okay but we gotta keep it down, If we leave them to the fighting it'll be easier to find the book and get away with it " She said in a soft whisper, giggling a little as they seamed to be like children playing secret spies. She looked at the bag a little and then looked up at Maya's face admiring her beauty. " What kind of egg is it? I bet it's something super amazing " She said happily wondering if she'd ever be as pretty as her.
Void landed on his back. The chains had totally knocked him out of Red's body, and returned him to his physical form. "Just who is this boy?" He said to himself. He stood up, his spear forming in his hand once more. "Looks like i'll have to deal with you first." He threatened volitaire, pointing his spear at him.

"Void.." said Chrome, who had been watching Kuro's lifeless body hang from the ceiling. "You said you'd keep him out of trouble.." Her voice was shaken with sorrow, and she flooded tears. She was standing up, facing the people that were battling. "You promised nothing bad would happen.."
Enzo blinked, his eyes had returned to normal once again, and his flame vanished. He had just felt the atmosphere, and how full of sorrow it was. "But it turns out... The only ones who would really protect.. is our enemy." She wipes the tears from her eyes, and looked to Volitaire. "You and me.. We aren't so different." She said, before teleporting behind Void, and grabbing his arm.

"Chrome, what are you doing?!" Void yelled out. "These people have reminded me of what we once used to be." She knew well that he wouldn't attack her. Void's expression was hard to follow. He was just sinister a moment ago. "Don't worry, if you don't remember. I'll wash away your darkness." Chrome teleports back to her original spot near Kuro, taking with her Void's arm and spear.
"What...?" Void stumbled onto his knees, moreover shock then pain.
"Well, that escalated quickly." Kenji said, folding his arms.
Volitaire hung his head. "Chrome. Even though we may have our similarities. You chose to follow a pursuit that would not benefit you or your friends. I may have some control over my actions but, I don't apologize for your friend. He killed me only brother. My only family. He meant the world to me, and he took him away in cold blood. But, this is question is for both you and Void. You really think Montesque would allow you to walk away peacefully after you've helped him? He's lied to and deceived everyone who gave him aid. He most likely will kill you and Void after the book is unlocked. He means to overwrite the human race. And raise himself to Godhood with the power of that book. He cares nothing of you and won't even give you the benefit of using the book. You poor wrenches, you're better off destroying the book before it's opened." Volitaire began to return to normal at a slow pace. He was still suffering from his brothers death. "You've said enough, Volitaire." Clock hands are launched from a unknown source and pins Volitaire to the wall. Volitaire shrieks in sudden pain and begins to return to his darkened state. A man in a blue hooded robe, the robe skirt is parted at the bottom. "It's been a while since we last met, child. You've grown." The man walks into the room quietly. Volitaire's heart sank. "Montesque!" Montesque's face didn't change. "Yes, Volitaire. I see your brother has fallen. It is a shame. I didn't intend for anyone to die. You've suffered enough." Montesque turned to Void and Chrome. "You morons. I told you not to engage in combat or kill anyone. I think Kuro deserved his death as punishment for disobeying my orders. And Void, you're already getting on my last nerve with your unruly behavior." Montesque summoned a blue circle seal with roman numerals around it and hands formed on the clock, enough to point at all the numbers.
"Montesque, I..." Void seemed to not be able to bring any words to excuse his behavior.
Enzo could barely stand, the magical power emitting from the robbed man was knocking him down. This is Montesque?! A time lord? He had used up all of the power from his cursed form, and couldn't feel it's presence anymore. I can't turn back... He thought. "What do you want with Aurora?!" He shouted out.
"To be able to use Time Magic without limitation. To be able to perfect all schools of magic. Raise to literal Godhood and lead this world to the ways it used to be. Before our originators passed on. We became lazy, foolish, and spoiled. Our world is being run by weak and unable men who think of themselves as something higher. I've destroyed the weak to continue my vendetta, and show that I am truly the strongest. I follow the ways of our originators. The man of true power and infinite knowledge is the very man who created Time Magics. He could use them without recompense. This form of magic was infallible, he recorded his notes in the creation and proper execution but they were destroyed by those who feared his power. Stupid fools, all of them. And you are all their successors. My family believes only the strongest can subdue the world and lead it to enlightenment. Now that my family is gone, I plan to live on and finish what was started. The book, Aurora, is the entire incantation of this all powerful spell. Unlocking it will trigger the spell and cast it. Thus allowing whomever opened it to make a wish. Think, in the hands of a Master Time Lord, I could do anything. I could travel the infinite directional labyrinth that is the Time Stream, and survive it's rupturing atmosphere. All avenues are possible in the hands of this power. With that power, I will change this world to it's better and destroy arbitrary offenders who made world leadership a joke. Montesque triggered the time seal and 4 other seals surrounded Void and the hands spun, making a tick tock sound that echoed and eerie bells rung. Void instantly vanished in a blue light and the seals disappeared. "Chrome. Leave. It seems you no longer wish to serve me." Montesque turned to Volitaire. "As for you." Montesque opened a portal which led to a multicolored universe that echoed with the voices of countless people and noises from all kinda of actions. Faint clips of people and other actions could be seen traveling through the stream. "It's best if I send you to the timeless labyrinth. Just like Void."
