Kira smiled as the rom filled up. There was really a full house. She was in front with a pretty good view of the stage. Drink in hand she waited, mentally bracing herself for the oncoming pushing that was sure to happen as soon as the show started.
Already people were crowding. She noticed a girl slip in through the crowd to go near her, with another male right before the show started. She turned her attention back to the stage when it got dark, grinning a little. Taking a final sip of her drink, she shifted to the side and bit back a frown at being pushed a little. A cold glance behind to stop the culprit from trying again fixed the issue. Lucky for them she didn't spill anything.
As Harley entered and the band started to play, she smirked up at the singer. Off to a great start. The crowd seemed to come alive with the song. She nodded her head to the beat.
-
He watched Eos run up excitedly and smiled. He was glad she was enjoying herself. But he thought he figured he should go in, even if he probably wouldn't enjoy all the people cramped up in one spot. He didn't want anything to happen to the poor girl. He followed after her, zigzagging his way through people trying to keep her in sight. Eventually she made it to her before the house lights were shut off. He grinned and wrapped his arms around her from behind to secure her from the mob of people. He was willing to comment, but he couldn't speak louder than the crowd.
-
As soon as the music came on, Sasha was on cloud nine. The girl loved the fast-paced rhythm of the drums, the electric riff of the guitar. She found herself nodding along to the music and pumping her fist in the air. This was it. This was where she belonged. Not in some stuffy old house in Russia or in the woods. America was where her wild heart lay. Sasha hummed along to the tune as the words coming out of the androgynous singer's mouth became more clear to her.
"...liar, liar..."
-
Once the show had begun, Enzo was nearly lost. He had no clue what the lead singer was saying, but the music itself was good. It had done weird things to his Flame of emotion, as he felt it 'spark' during the show. His eyes shot open wide as it happened. G-.. He grabbed his arm and looked down, having been reminded that he can't enjoy or suffer too much of one thing. I'll have to keep calm.. My flames are acting up again. Knowing that magic was banned in America, he couldn't possible fathom what would happen if someone saw him in his Hyper mode.
On the rooftops of some of the smaller New York buildings, 2 men scanned the crowd below. "I don't sense anything good from these people. They seem normal to me." said one of them. Then, they witnessed David's superb dodging skills. "It's your call, Kuro." The man said again. Kuro stood with his arms crossed. He wasn't interested in anything here. He sought only one boy."Find out what he knows, Brute." Kuro responded to the man named 'Brute'. And with that, Brute turned around, heading back into the building to go down to the ground level. Kuro kept watch on the rooftops, with the cold breeze going by every now and then.
I'm going to find you, and kill you.
For Endine.

David walked along, still minding his own business and wondering what he could do next. He had plenty of money, so maybe he would grab a bite to eat or something. Staring up at the cloudy sky, he wondered if it would rain at all today. He stopped for a moment, closing his eyes and taking a deep breath of the city air; he could smell each and every thing that passed by here, which wasn't too pleasant. He made a sour face and opened his eyes again, continuing his walk. He managed to pass by a small cafe that wasn't too crowded, so he figured he'd get a cup of coffee and maybe something sweet. An older woman was coming out of the cafe and having trouble with the door, so he ran to hold it open for her. She glanced up at him and smiled, giving him a thankful pat on the arm. He smiled, and slid inside, placing his order and standing there to wait for it to be done.
-
Suddenly, the same woman's body crashed through the cafe's window beheaded, and standing at the door was Brute. He was taller up close, and was built like a tank. His hands dripped with the blood of his victim. His left eye was mechanical, and scanned the cafe and it's panicking customers.
Chelly Smith,
Age: 36
Gender: Female.
Skill level: Passive.
David Rizzo,
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Skill level: DANGEROUS.
Once Brute located David, he spoke out. "David Rizzo. I have some..." Brute took a moment to look down at his hands, then back up to him. "..questions, for you."
-
David heard the crash and turned, ready to face something and protect everyone else if necessary. He saw a taller man, the woman's body, her head missing and her blood dripping from his hands. He spoke out to David, and he narrowed his eyes. The fact that this man just killed an innocent woman made his blood boil. "All you had to do was ask. There's no need to hurt anyone else." His eyes glanced towards the door, where people were trying to get to in order to get away. Looks like the only escape he could take without hurting anyone would be the window the guy broke.. Which was behind him. David sighed, pushing his glasses up.
-
Brute cracked a grin at David's displeasure. "What is the location of Volitaire Lucath?" His tone, and overall self didn't look like he was going to invite him over for a tea party.
-
There were a few sirens passing by, and where they stopped seemed close. It was then a awful feeling befell Marcus, and he looked Seraph straight in the eyes. "Don't move, stay where you, lock the door and turn off the lights. Don't answer the door for anyone, I will be back soon." With that he grabbed his heavy leather coat and burst out the door and through the halls, jumping down flights of stairs. There was something wrong, something not ordinary to the city of New York, he wasn't a physic, but something in the back of his mind told him one of his students was in danger. Out on the street, he looked left, than right, everything was a blur. 'Right' a voice inside his head spoke, and he listened. He saw the police and ambulance lights flashing near by, in front of a coffee shop. The police officers were behind their vehicles their guns loaded and pointed towards a hulking brute in the entrance. Marcus dashed past one of the police officers and hopped a car, "Sir! It's dangerous, don't go in there!" One officer yelled, slamming his hand on the hood of his car to get his attention. He didn't look back, "It's my student in there, I've got this handled!" as he came to halting stop just out of arms length of the mammoth before him, "Hey! Back off you son of a bitch!" He yelled, loudly and very much outside of his usual tone.
-
"Who wishes to know?" David wasn't about to give that kind of information away. This guy seemed dangerous, and he wanted to keep him away from the others. David crossed his arms, waiting for a reply.
-
"I am with- Brute was cut off by both the police arriving and Marcus confronting him. With a sickening smile, Brute turned around. "Do you want to die, Gordon Freeman?" His tone darkened. It was clearly obvious he didn't like being interrupted during work.
-
For a moment he stood in silence, seeing David in the background. He smiled, "I know it's illegal, but my powers aren't visible...I've got a chance." At that thought, David could hear his teacher's voice in his head, "While his back is turned, get these people of here, there should be an emergency exit in the back, be quiet and discreet, don't think, just do it!" He grinned up at Brute, and chuckled, "Oh, game references, eh? Hmm, well how about we 'play'?" With tremendous speed, he darted towards the Goliath, "Good luck, David..." he thought to himself.

Knowing that there was no point of a very dangerous magical dispute in the middle of a crowded club, Maya had not followed the other students. Instead, she stayed outside, keeping tabs with her sensing abilities. She did not care if magic was outlawed. Maya began to wander down the streets, and before long, her very sensitive hearing picked up the sound of a window breaking and screaming not far from her. Curious, she moved closer, keeping in the back of her mind that she would not be willing to help anyone. At the center of this chaos, it turns out, was David. Her interest level heightened, and she moved closer, but becoming hidden. Finally, she could see the scene from a safe distance across the street. Who's trying to steal my kill? Maya thought as she noticed the man who seemed hellbent on hurting David. Though, he was no normal human. She frowned, and sat back.
The police arrived, and so did the one known as Marcus. Maya stayed where she was, on the roof of the building across the way. She listened intently, watching, but not helping.

Brute's mechanical eye had targeted Marcus. It showed information about him, including brain activity, magic level, and possible weak points. Brute punched the ground, causing it to split apart at ease. The crack went past Marcus, and over to the surrounding NYPD police cars. Then, it started to split, slowly causing officers and other things to fall into what seemed like subway tracks.
-
David saw Marcus and suddenly heard his voice in his head. He remained silent, remembering what he had said about his powers before. David glanced to the remaining citizens, and nodded to himself. It was mostly the cafe employees and some people who didn't know what to do. He motioned to them to go to the back door, the emergency exit, and the employees nodded and went out. David slowly walked over to the people who seemed to be too frightened to move, and gave them a little shove in the direction they needed to go. Once everyone was gone, he turned back to Marcus and the strange giant who appeared before him to see if Marcus needed any help.
-
He peered back for only a moment, watching people and vehicles fall in the fissure. His first instinct was of course to turn and help, but then he would leave himself open. "I'm sorry..." Marcus continued his mad dash towards Brute, and as they were about toe to toe he swooped down and spun his leg towards the shins of the monster, trying to sweep him off his feet or knock him off balance. His efforts were met with a solid surface, as hard as steel. It was still standing. "What the hell is this thing?!"
-
Maya contemplated moving, as it seemed now she could possibly be in the line of fire. She watch magicless humans fall down into the crevice and sighed, standing up. Maya had no idea what was going on, but this would not be tolerated. She waited a few seconds more, giving David and Marcus a chance to attack. Then, Marcus finally went forward. It was clear that David and Marcus had planned something.
Maya calmed down and took her seat once again, not being exactly sure who she would fight in this situation.
-
He felt a slight quake in the ground. Weak enough to not really cause any environmental or property damage, but strong enough to stir some worry. He turned and saw dimming red and blue lights. Probably police sirens...he narrowed his glare and felt an uneasy feeling. "What's going on over there...?" He would go see for himself, but he couldn't leave Eos there. He decided to stay put and tightened his embrace around her.
-
Brute watched in amusement as Marcus attempted to trip him. "So puny..." He mumbled as he went over to grab Marcus as he was down.
Enzo felt the odd shaking as well. "Eh?!" He looked to his left, and then to his right. Some of the lights were shaking, and some concerned speech came from the other Japanese students. He quickly looked around the room to see if any of his friends had noticed it too.
-
Jacen sat back and nodded his head to the music before hearing sirens as he stood near the emergency exit.
Probably just an accident or burglary or something...no need for alarm. Jacen looked over and saw Volitaire and Eos standing and looking slightly interested in the music.
I know Voli had to have felt that...but he's not doing anything either.
-
Now was his chance. David ran over to the thing Marcus was fighting and jumped on his back, trying to distract it.. He quickly stuck his hand inside his pocket, but realized he didn't have his daggers in it.. Ah, shit. He tried to search his other pockets as well, but he couldn't find them anywhere. He fell back off the thing, using his hands to stop his fall as he swung his legs back and stood up right, ready to dodge anything this guy threw at him. How would he take this guy down?
-
It was toward the end of her song that she heard the distant sirens growing closer, the music coming to a sudden stop and Harley growled, "Fuck..." She sneered at the presence of pigs outside the club and due to the paranoia of the times she assumed they were there to raid the place and do a random arrest of magic users, for these days it happened often.
Grabbing hold of the mic she shouted, "Raid!" And hopped off the stage, her hand quickly grabbing hold of Kira's. "Quick we gotta get outta here!" Looking back at the guys, they nodded at her, knowing the usual procedure. Tugging Kira along, Harley made her way toward the back door and kicked it open. Peering around the side of the building she saw an over-sized monster of a man wreaking chaos right outside the club with plenty of cops surrounding.
-
"Enzo, there's something happening nearby. You notice it too?" He stroked Eos' hair in case she was feeling tense herself, trying to relax her. "Should we go see? I don't see David, or Marcus around."
-
Eos hadn't been paying much mind to anything but the music, but the powerful aura that surrounded the singer had quickly changed to an uneasy one as she felt the ground shake below her feet and the stage lights blinked out for a few moments.
The moment the singer stopped, Eos turned her head to notice lights of red and blue flickering just outside the stairs that brought them down to The Snake Pit. As the singer shouted "raid" at the top of her lungs, Eos instantly fell into a panic - watching as the singer swooped down next to her and pulled away a girl with long dark hair. "What does that mean?! Voli, JD, I don't want to be here anymore!" The fear that emanated off the singer had now influenced Eos into a state of fear as well.
-
"Stay close, E. Enzo, forget the law, we have to help these people." He let go of Eos and activated his Virus, and drew his sword. "Your flames, Enzo. Come on." The runes around him spun and altered his outfit, and the flames of his ring surrounded his hand and black aura coated them.
-
What the fuck...so much for nothing.
Jacen ran over to Voli and Eos through the crowd of people running for the exits.
"Yo, I dunno what's going on...but I think we should leave. It's probably not worth it."
He perked up and the sirens were getting closer.
"And now would be a good time."
-
"F-F-..forget the law?!" Enzo echoed his words. I can't become a fugitive over an earthquake! Enzo started to panic as Sorcerers students dispersed out of the club. Red was seen facepalming as a group of women rush out of a small room. "So fucking close..." He muttered. When Enzo caught sight of Red, he ran over to him. "Red! There's something going on outside, t-they need your help!" "Get out of my face." Red sneered with his hand over his face. "I've shamed my ancestors."
Brute felt something small on his back fall off, and he quickly turned around. He would have stepped on him by accident if it weren't for David quickly recovering. "Oh, right. I forgot about you!" His mechanical eye locking on to David once more.
Kuro narrowed his eyes as he watched countless police cars flood the streets as they head toward the cafe. He himself facepalmed. "Damn it, Brute." He said under his breath before hopping off of the roof and literally flying towards the cafe. I'll do this myself.
-
She'd felt the ground rumble before anything else. Thinking nothing of it, she brushed it off until the music was suddenly shut off and the sound of sirens became more obvious. Eyes widening, Kira looked up at Harley right when she shouted the oh so hated words. Being grabbed, she nodded, quickly following. Sparing a glance behind as they left, her eyes widened in shock at catching a glimpse of one of the people that'd been standing near her use magic. Are they crazy??
She almost wanted to go back and warn them. They would get caught in no time with the police. "Harley! There's a user in there." She muttered, looking over her shoulder before looking to see what was the hold up.
"That, can't be normal.. Or is that guy on steroids?" The guy was too big, too, strong and he was grabbing at a male for whatever reason. "What the fuck is going on..?" There were people screaming, and this was a mess. Even more cops were showing up.
"--Obviously they're not from around here.." It was becoming more apparent that they were magic users.. The big guy, and the crazy flying one.. Who the fuck would dare fly in New York?? Though.. it was a pretty cool ability.
-
...Shit.
It was getting to be chaotic again. There were tremors in the ground, and the singer had stopped singing, instead grabbing a girl that Sasha assumed was a friend or something.
Sasha was one of the first to sprint out of the door, spotting the monstrous man surrounded by cop cars, "Tch..." she muttered under her breath, "Can't do anything with cops around."
However, as the chaos grew wilder, Sasha reached a decision, "...But I've always been one to break the rules."
A smirk was seen on her face as water began to condense from the humid atmosphere to the ground around her, remaining unseen for the time being. One would only think it was a slight puddle on the ground.
-
"Yeah, I don't like being forgotten. Really hurts my feelings, you know?" David stood there, looking around, seeing that he was unfortunately only attracting more attention. He finally thought of something. "Alright, I'll tell you what I know, but we have to take this somewhere else. Don't wanna attract too much attention, you know what I mean?" Worse comes to worst, he has to die protecting the others. No big deal, really. At least it meant his life would mean something.
