The Coming Darkness

Eos let Volitaire answer, once again having a silent battle with the elevator that opened up in front of them. But knowing that she did it once without a problem, it was a little easier stepping through those doors into the little metal box. "Right... a musical..." She smiled sweetly, amused by his misunderstanding - deciding to not correct him but instead let him be pleasantly surprised.

"The more the merrier!" She added, her eyes falling to her feet noticing a flyer on the ground, advertising the very same show they were about to see. Proving an address and everything. "Ah, seems as though they are called Pack of Thieves... sounds interesting."

She immediately took a liking to the roaring and busy streets of America; it was just the sort of organized chaos Sasha was looking for in her life. She hummed to herself a little, in a cheerier mood than she was before. The show was going to be great, Sasha felt it in her gut.

I'll have a great time here.

Silver saw David and JD in the lobby as they were passing by and got a bit confused. They didn't seem to exactly be having a good time, but there was no blood either, so she figured it was okay. She smiled at them both and quickly followed Sasha out to the busy streets, where she felt a bit uncomfortable. She stayed close to Sasha and Enzo, unsure about all the people around her. She clung to her bag, making sure all the pockets were closed. Is this what people deal with every day?..

Meanwhile, David watched them leave the building, wondering if Silver would be okay out there. He took off his glasses and rubbed his eyes and the bridge of his nose a bit before putting them back on.

7:30PM

The three of them followed the group down a series of streets and around corners. There were a lot of students, so losing them wasn't hard. Eventually, the group piled up at the entrance to the club. Enzo stopped as soon as they did. He observed the club from across the street. "This looks nothing like shows back in Japan." He added in a nervous laugh to show how he felt about the situation. It didn't matter, they didn't walk all the way out there for no reason, and he wasn't going to look like a coward in front of Sasha and Silver. He crossed the street to join the group of students waiting for the doors to open.

Red caught sight of Enzo approaching, and had stepped out to greet him. "What are you doing here, welp?" Red looked totally different. He was wearing a thuggish leather jacket that screamed 'AMERICA' all over it, even without the words. "This show isn't for kids." Enzo narrowed his eyes. "I'm not a kid!" Enzo realized, since he was born in the Gaze, time must have moved faster in the real world, so Enzo's real age would be of a mystery.

"Wait, what kind of music do they play?"
I could easily just look them up, but I'm too lazy to do so...

He entered the elevator and pushed the 1st floor button for everyone. He raked his fingers through his hair before putting his hands in his pocket, only making his bangs look messier. He sneaked a peek over at the flyer, they looked noisier than he originally may have though. "I have a feeling I'm going to get a headache by the end of this..." He had to forgive it, so he can at least looked like he was enjoying himself with Eos. "Looks fun...I just hope there aren't any raging fanboys that'll probably kill us to get to her." He ended his sarcastic remark with a shrug and waited for the elevator to reach ground level.

Ah. It was that redhead from some time ago. Sasha faintly remembered seeking that hair back at the Gaze. She looked him over; he seemed like the typical schoolyard bully. Sasha was not impressed, giving a simple snort at his ridiculous appearance.

Hopping out of the elevator, Eos felt the need to lead the way to the club. All they really had to do was follow the crowd that was headed down the street, but either way she wanted to stick by them in case an annoying peddler popped out of nowhere and tried to rip them off. Oddly enough, she felt rather confident amongst the streets, sure the one's of St Albans weren't as rough as these, but they were still a semi-familar territory.

It wasn't long before they reached the line of people awaiting enterance to the building. She saw Enzo, Sasha and the others all standing together not too far off. "Hey guys!" She waved her hands up in the air, those being the only things visible over the taller crowd.

He quietly followed behind Eos and gave his small wave to the others. He saw Red and rolled his eyes halfway and blinked in annoyance. He looked at the large crowd and sighed. "Gets better doesn't it.."

So far it beats being in a hotel room...and possibly having my shit ruined over hats.
Jacen threw a short wave and then stood in the line waiting to get in.
He pulled out his phone and decided to look up the band.Not like I got anything better to do.

Upon hearing the voices of friends over those of the other students, Enzo turned to see Volitaire, Jacen, and Eos approaching. His face flooded with joy at seeing them in such an unfamiliar place. "Guys! I.. wasn't expecting to see you all here."

Maya anxiously leaned over the windowsill, observing as some of Valor made their way through the streets. She couldn't help but feel as if she was missing something, or maybe missing a chance to attack. She stood over the window for a few seconds, contemplating whether it would be safe to jump down from this height. Maya finally decided against it, swiftly picking up a coat and heading out the door. She looked back at Maria briefly, humming, "All I ever wanted..."

She shook her head and briskly made her way downstairs and out the door, trailing after them. "Hey, everyone!" she greeted, putting aside her emotions and attempting to blend in to the group a little bit. Her pupils, however, were unusually small. She didn't care how she acted much as long as it wasn't too odd.

"Alright you guys, doors are about to open." The owner of the club said, signaling them to head up the stairs beside the stage to the room they would wait in. Harley nodded, setting her guitar down back on it's stand. "You can come up if you want Kira, or go ahead and buy yourself a drink." Giving the girl another smile, she hopped off the stage before heading up the stairs with Micky and Joey.

As she made her way into the room, she looked into the dirty mirror standing beside the wall and took a deep breath. There was that oh so familiar tingling sensation that seemed to find her every night before a gig. That feeling that made her feel like she might puke, scream or punch someone.

Oh man, tonight's gonna be good.

A familiar voice belonging to a certain blonde girl snapped Sasha away from her daydreams. Looking up, her eyes met the face of Eos, who was as cheery as always, if not more. "Yo," she greeted, nodding to the other members of their little group as they appeared.

7:45PM

Red sighed. "I'm not going to babysit any of you kids." He told them as Maya approached. Enzo waved to her, glad even more of his friends had come. Going into this club didn't seem as ominous as it did with less people at his side. Though, it felt like something was going to turn this trip sour very fast...

Maya glanced over team Valor, taking a stand next to no one in particular. She finally spoke up to Red. "If you don't like it here, leave." She said, her pupils constricting even more. Maya stood up completely straight, unlike how she had ever stood before. She forced her threatening demeanor away when she realized she might have alienated others in the group, and for now, her goal was just to fit in. She slumped back and relaxed a bit, allowing more room for Red.

Kira smiled, nodding back as she stepped out of the line to follow Harley. "Sounds like a treat." She could see some disappointment in others waiting in line. Sparing a glance to the discarded cigarette, she bit back a sigh. Well, wasn't like she herself had a sparkling reputation. Hers was just a bit more under wraps. They just didn't mention the small things. That wasn't what got them to be friends. It was more along the lines of, Going down the stairs, she gave a slight wave to the others. "Hey boys~ Miss me?"

Stepping closer to the stage, she glanced down at the time. Indeed, the three didn't have too much time, but it was enough to warm up. "You guys do well tonight, there'll be a dinner invite on me." All too well she knew about being broke more often than not. Granted, she was doing better than before but still. Cocking her head, blue eyes glanced over the three of them, but mainly Harley. "If you need a bit of money, y'know I can help out. I've got a friend that's connected to a club that may be interested in being a host to the band."


She could pull some strings and work her magic. If anything, she still had some connections from her earlier days in being an errand girl. Kira still kept in contact with some 'clients', and if it helped the band get a better gig, then she'd be all for helping them out.

"I'll head up after I get something to drink, if there's time. If I don't manage to get there, I know you guys'll be fine when it starts. Give the crowd a shocker as always." She stated with a smirk. She was pretty thirsty since she'd had no time to get something before heading down to the Pit. Giving them a wave, she headed over to get something from the bartender.

Red scoffed at Maya's attempt to be threatening. "Last time I checked, I was old enough to enter." Red's sneer had been followed by some chuckles from the peers around him. Enzo lowered his heard. That peace was short lived.

At Red's comment, Sasha gave another snort, followed by a laugh, "We don't need you to babysit us, Redhead," she scoffed, crossing her arms a little, "We are most capable of defending ourselves." Sasha felt like Red was trying too hard to be badass, and that alone annoyed her.

"Ah, Sasha!" With a look of excitement, she ran up to the girl and gave her a hug that had so much oomph to it, it could have knocked her over. "I feel like I haven't talked to you in ages, come on! Let's go in!" She tugged on her hand as the line began to move forward, quickly flooding in.

It was then they got to the door, "Five dollar cover charge." The man said bluntly. "Oh, drat! I didn't bring any money!" Suddenly her cheerful face dropped down into a pout and her eyes got quickly glassy at the embarrassment and disappointment.

JD glanced beyond David to notice the general traffic of his fellow Sorcerer members were extending out into the world beyond. “Yeah- well- maybe when you and I have shared a bit more memorable stories other than caring for the same woman.” His gaze narrowed at the other. “Then we can share a few beers and reminisce about the old times. Until then you get my mild compliance. And currently that compliance is saying that we follow our fellow school members.”

JD was a bit slow on following the others due to David’s interruption. Honestly he didn’t know if the other male followed him or not to their current location, but would be interested if did- and still interested if he did not. Apparently they were going to watch some underground music performance- which was apparently a big deal in the states. Personally he was used to watching independent artists sing their life away in pubs and small bars, and he had hoped the experience would be different here. He was not surprised when it wasn’t.
The Sorcerers group seemed to be herded together, but JD forced himself to the near front- interested in their entertainment for the evening. More-so he missed the old days where he and Eos would be at the front- watching the shows and commenting about the entertainers. This was the best he could get- and if David followed him- well that boy might be a poor substitute but at least he was in the action.

“I hope they are not a part of that annoying emo-sub group.” He grumbled to no one in particular as he glanced up to the stage.

Sasha was nearly knocked over by the over excited Eos, but chuckled instead of glaring. She turned to head into the doors, but was stopped when Eos halted in frot of her, and a man asked for money- money that Eos evidently didn't possess. Unfortunately, the same could be said for Sasha. However, the girl knew a better tactic to follow.

Stepping in front of Eos, Sasha put on her most intimidating face possible, narrowing her eyes, her face frowning as she let out a low growl beneath her normal vocal range, Y'sure about that, punk?"

Enzo burst past the two, holding money in his hand. He quickly stepped between the door keeper and the two girls. "H-here!" He said, literally shoving the money into his chest. He didn't count how much it was, but his instincts told him it was well over 20 dollars. Either way, he went in without checking, hoping the others would follow.

Silver saw JD move forward to the front and decided to be with him for now; she felt better with him around anyways. She casually slipped her way through the crowd and winded up next to JD, accidentally being pushed into him. She looked up at him and smiled, grabbing his hand. Maybe now they could actually spend some time together.

David, on the other hand, stood there frowning. The idea of going to see some underground band play didn't sound exciting to him. Silver seemed to be in with the others, so he figured she would be fine with them. He decided to go on his own adventure, and turned to walk down the busy street himself. He stopped at a cross walk, waiting for the light to turn green so he could cross. The light turned, no one moved an inch, and he was confused. He stepped out into the intersection, only to hear some deep honks. He turned to see a rather large trunk coming his way, and he didn't have time to jump out of the way. Instead, he fell down to his chest and let the truck pass over him. When it was safe, he stood up and brushed himself off. There was a group of 4 girls not too far away, who were all staring at him and whispering among themselves. David sighed and kept walking. He looked behind him and noticed the girls seemed to be following him. He looked inside a store, filled with some nice jewelry and it all seemed to be pretty cheap, too. He glanced back at the girls, noting the different colors they were wearing, and went inside. He picked out some nice bracelets to match all their outfits, one for each of them. Walking back out, they were all standing in a circle, pretending not to be paying attention to him. Casually he walked over and tapped one of them on the shoulder. "Ladies, these are for you. I think they all match your outfits nicely," he explained as he handed one to each of them. They all looked shocked and blushed a little, putting them on and whispering to each other. David smiled and walked away, calling back to them. "Hope you like 'em." He shrugged. That either made their days or freaked them out, either way, they got a story to tell later.

He had his arms folded and shrugged off Red's analysis of the group. "Kids...as if he acts any more mature than the rest of us." He overheard the man asking for a money charge. This made Volitaire jump in realization he forgot money also. He curved the side of his lip and wondered what he could do. He could exchange currency, but he didn't know where to go for that. Also with his inability to speak English, that may have been harder to do anyway.

She had to hold back a snort when Enzo rushed up with the money. It was just like the guy to worry about trivial things like that. Sasha smiled to herself, then followed after Enzo, looking back at Eos, "Y'coming?"

Going into the club, Enzo felt he wasn't in the right dress code. His orange hoodie and camo pants stuck out in the crowd like a lightbulb. There was a stage on the other side, and students were flooding in, starting to switch to English, a language Enzo didn't know. Luckily for him, he brought along a pocket-sized translation book. One that could help him in possible heated situations, since things like that followed him everywhere.

Had it not been for the large amount of money Enzo gave to the door keeper, he would have been thrown outside already. Everyone was seemingly waiting on someone to appear onstage. That, he could tell.

With little to no hesitation she gave Volitaire a kiss on the cheek, "Hey! I'm gonna go up front! I won't drag you along with me because it can get pretty loud and pretty rowdy up there..." It was one of the first times that Eos actually didn't tug the poor guy along without his permission, but she could tell he wasn't as thrilled as she was to be around. ".. But if you want to come up, don't hesitate because this place looks like it's getting packed quick!" With a grin she dipped off through the crowd (something easily done due to her small size) and squeezed in beside JD. Up front by the bars was her favorite place to be during a show, and was by far the most exhilarating. Plus, when you're squished up front you don't have to worry about anyone flailing into you - but either way her older brother always did a good job keeping the crowd surfing crazies off her head.

Admittedly, she hoped Volitaire would come up with her as well, but she didn't want to make him uncomfortable. Her eyes drifted back to where he was standing - lingering momentarily and then returning back to the stage once the house lights were killed.

A sudden knock on the door drew her attention behind her, the owner nodding them in his direction. "Full house, get out there..." And without hesitation she grinned from ear to ear, delivering a ritualistic slap to the backs of both Joey and Micky. "You heard the man!"

The two of them made their way out first, Harley hanging back a few steps to take a few deep breaths. Micky stepped on stage, not even looking at the crowd as per usual - but the diehard fans began to scream and clap, knowing that the show was about to start.

Then Joey went on, practically sauntering over to his bass before slipping it over his slender shoulders and giving the crowd a smile and wave - keeping an eye out to try and read the energy in the lot, the mood and excitement of the room growing by the second.

It was then that the red and blue lights began going off and the familiar sound of a police siren began to rattle the ears of all those in the room. That soon followed by Joey and Micky jumping right into the song with a fierce intensity.

Give 'em hell, kid. She told herself, running down the stairs before climbing onto the stage and in almost one fluid motion grabbing hold of her guitar and jumping right into the song with swift chords and a shout equivalent to a battle cry. In reality, she was able to move that fast due to the fact that when she was in a heightened state of emotion she would warp through her copies - something she wasn't supposed to do in public.

The room went wild and Harley gave the crowd a wicked stare before beginning to sing, "Liar, liar, pants on fire! And the pills go down and get you higher!" Her voice wasn't girlish, but not very deep when she sang. This song was a favorite to open with, due to the speed and beat of the song along with the strange and easily sung along with lyrics, it always seemed to get the crowd going.

Her mic stand was planted down just in front of Eos and JD, which was proving to be quite a challenge for the two seeing as many people were attempting to lean over the blonde twins. Which oddly enough was unsuccessful seeing as trying to push JD was an awful lot like trying to push a giant boulder.

Marcus had wandered into the hall in time to overhear the others talking about a concert or 'show' going on downtown. As he watched them run giddily down to the elevator, he turned to Seraph, "Well, it seems the others have plans for tonight. Couldn't hurt to take along, right? Maybe showing more interest in group activities will allow them to get better acquainted to you and I." He flashed a sincere smile and nodded his head towards the end of the hall.
