I thought for a moment, thinking of some sort of solution.. "I work part time at a hospital.. What if I brought back blood bags that they never use for surgery?" I said.
I nodded. "Yeah.. That could work." I answered.
I nodded. "Okay. Well, I have a shift in an hour.. I'll get ready, and when I get home, I'll have them." I said.
"Okay.." I whispered, sighing softly. How long will we be able to last?
In about two hours, I was at work, doing my normal job as a nurse that I loved. Rainer and I texted a few times, just me checking up on him. I couldn't imagine what he was feeling, it must be miserable.
Me being stuck like this for eternity.. What a cruel fate this is... I sighed and laid in bed, trying to fall asleep but knowing it was impossible.
I soon drove home, with about 7 blood bags in a special cooler. I walked inside and I set the bag on the counter. "Rainer, come here." I said.
I got up and tried to walk with a human speed to where she was. I smiled slightly. "Hey. Thanks." I said softly.
I opened the cooler, and scooted it to him. "See if it helps.." I said.
I took a bag and ripped it open, the smell almost overwhelming. I turned away from her so she couldn't see and I drank it. It wasn't as good as fresh blood, but it calmed down the ache in my throat.
I looked down as he did his thing, I hoped that it helped.. So our relationship could go back to a somewhat normal thing.
I drank one more after that, just to be safe, then I went and brushed my teeth. I walked back and hugged her gently. "Thank you." I said softly.
I grinned and wrapped my arms around him, happy he was finally hugging me. "Now do you think you can show me how much you missed me?" I asked, looking up into his eyes.
I sighed and closed my eyes. "I don't want to hurt you.. Even hugging you is dangerous.. I could break you with one squeeze.."
"I trust you.. I mean, of you still need time I'll give it to you." I said, and I kissed his cheek softly.
I sighed and kissed her softly. "I know you trust me.. I just don't trust myself."
"Is there anything I can do to help you somehow?" I asked,
I smiled at her. "You already helped me a lot while providing for me. Don't worry." I kissed her forehead.
"Okay.. Good... We should go for a walk.." I suggested. "No one goes to the park anymore, so we shouldn't have to worry about other people." I said, knowing that may be hqard on him.
I smiled. "Okay." I replied, grabbing her coat and handing it to her.
I grinned and put it on. "Thanks." I said, taking his hand and walking outside with him. We walked down the street, past a few people, and when we did I gave his hand a reassuring squeeze, then, we were at the park. "I remember the day we met in this very spot." I said, looking up at Him.
I smiled and looked around. "Me too." I replied. I looked down into her eyes. "I was so nervous about talking to you.."
I chuckled, and nodded. "Oh yes.. I rememeber. It was adorable." I said, and I sat down in the grass, thankful it wasn't wet.
I smiled and sat with her, wrapping my arms around her and letting her lean against me, her back against my chest.
"So.. Do you know who attacked you?" I asked him.
I shook my head. "No... I woke up and no one was there..." I answered.
"Wow.. That's terrible.. I mean, how will we make this work.. Honestly?" I said.
I sighed. "I don't know.. I don't know anything about vampires.. If only I could find another one.."
"There has to be someone.." I said, rubbing my eyes.
"Maybe.. But I might be the only one in this town.."
