Magical Love

"Nah, its not late. Im always wide awake at 8, no matter how late I stay up, yesterday one exception." I said, chuckling.

"No, it's just been us two." I said with a shrug. "Why?" I asked, looking up at her. She looked so refreshed.

I laughed and wrapped my arm over her shoulder, holding her close. She was beautiful, and funny... My dream girl.

"Just wondering if they would repair the power,"I said with a shrug.

I looked up at him and kissed him softly, sweetly. "I really enjoy being around you.. " I said, taking his hand

"Right, they are working on it. They have to completely replace the lines and everything." I said.

"And I enjoy being around you,"I said with a gentle squeeze of her hand, smiling.

"Wow..."I sighed softly and slid out of bed, a bit wobbly on my feet at first, but I was alright.

Ismiled and looked down. "Im glad." I said softly. I glanced at the time. "I should probably.. get home soon." I said with a shrug. "I cant be tired in the morning for work, because the snooze button is my favorite thing."

"Careful. Here." I said handing her a flashlight. "Im going to sleep, its late. But you're wide awake so, ill see you in the morning." I said before laying back

"I'll give you a ride,"I said with a smile, standing up and stretching with a groan. It was getting late... But I didn't want tonight to end.

"Goodnight, my dear,"I whispered before closing the door behind me. I walked slowly to the kitchen, getting some food.

"Okay, thank you." I said, and I stood, chuckling as he stretched and groaned. "Maybe after work, I can see you again." I said with a shrug.

I woke the next morning, and stood, and I stretched and sat up. Lights were on now? What a relief. I stood and headed into the living room, where I snuck up behind her on the couch, and touched her shoulders

"For sure... I'll be at the beach,"I said, leading her outside and sitting on my bike,"Ready?"

I opened my eyes and all the lights went out, and I looked up at him, smiling,"Hi.."

I put the helmet on and sat down, wrapping my arms around him and holding on. "Yep."

I furrowed my brows. "Why did they go off?" I asked her. Was she using her energy again?

I drove back to her house and walked her to the door, smiling at her as we stood there,"Have fun?"

"I was practicing,"I said as I turned around and smiled.

I looked up and nodded. "I really did, thank you. " I said, and I hugged him slowly, and then looked up into his eyes.

"Be careful, please." I said, sitting beside her, and pulling her into my lap. "I cant have you pass out again like that."

I leaned in, giving her a gentle kiss, keeping it short before pulling back, smiling.

"I'm being careful,"I said softly with a nod, leaning into him and smiling.

I smiled, and kissed him back, and pulled away after a moment. "Okay, see you tomorrow." I said, a blush rising onto my cheeks. , and then I stepped inside.

"Okay.." I said, relieved. I kissed her softly. "Do you feel alright?"

"Goodnight,"I said quietly, waiting to hear her lock click before walking away. I went home and cleaned up the pop cans and turned off the tv, blissful. I was just on a date with the greatest girl in my world...


"I'm fine... How are you feelings, sleepy head?"

I headed to bed, after changing into pjs, and I passed out.. what a night.. with an amazing guy.. he got me to trust him so quick, was that a goodx or bad thing?

"Im amazing." I said, and I stood. "Im going to go practice." I said. "Want to join?"

I got up in the morning and shot her a good locuk text before going to my post on the beach. I worked the entire day , from sunrise to sunset, because I needed the money.

"Gonna fly over the treetops again?"I asked, giving him a stern look.

The next morning, I got ready and went to workn the day was easygoing, and we got lots of things hinting that Dustin was the killer if this girl.

"Maybe.." I said, scratching my head. Im guessing shedidnt like when I did that.

Nothing special happened, beside a shark sighting a few beaches down... Porbabaly a seal or a dolphin, sharks don't really hang around here much.

"I just ask that you be careful,"i said with a sigh, shaking my head.

When work was done, I felt great about my first day. I was rhe youngest, the other youngest was 26. Once home, I changed, and then headed to the beach, I would visit Him.

"I will. I promise." I said, and I kissed her gently before ealking out, and flying off. "Superman!" I yelled, laughing

I grinned at her when I saw her coming down the beach and I waved,"Hey! How was your first day?"

I grinned and walked, slowly, down the trail. I needed to watch him in case he fell...

I walked over and smiled. "It was great!" I said, looking up at him in his tower thingy. "How was your day?" I asked.

I flew over the lake, and then.. I lost concentration, and I was falling, and falling, I regained it once I cleared my mind, and I floated feet from the ground. I let myself stand.. wow.. never again..

"Slow,"I sighed with a smile, hearing a scream from the water. I noticed everyone running towards the shore and I felt my blood run cold when I saw the red pool forming,"Stay here,"I said, jumping off my stand and running for the water. "Shark!!!"\

I stood at the edge of the lake, staring at him, my teeth clenched tight. He just...

I quickly headed back to the cabin, carefully.. I was dead if she saw that. I really will never do that again.

I put my hand over my mouth when I saw what was going on, I quickly pulled a teeshirt out of my purse and ripped it, and I ran following him. I had to help. once the person was out of the water, of course..

I teleported back to the cabin when I saw him heading out, and blocked him at the door,"Oh. Hey."

I turned and realized she was following me,"Stay here. You can't swim, just call for help,"I said before diving into the water. We really weren't supposed to go into the water.. But I couldn't let the girl just be ravaged. I reached her and she was weak, and I lifted her on to my floating device,"Kick..." She shook her head.. One of her legs was gone. I began to kick for us both and felt something grab my ankle.. Then I was under water.

I knew that look.. I looked at her, and I smiled nonchalantly. "Hi.." I said, looking down right after, scratching the back of my head.

I screamed, seeing him go under. What do I do? How do I help?! I looked over as two lifeguards dove in after the two, I fell to my knees, tears filling my eyes. I could barley talk when I called 911

"What happened?"I asked softly, sighing. I wasn't going to get mad, or at least try not to...

I felt the sharp pains in my leg, and then my arm, and the my side. Soon the pain was gone and I was being dragged on to the beach. I groaned, dizzy and delerious.

I looked up at her. "I lost concentration.. but I promise im never doing that again." I said, walking past her and inside, my heart still pounding.

I froze when I saw him, my whole world felt like it was crashing down. I quickly ran over, and I pressed my teeshirt to his bleeding wounds.. "Babe.. please stay with me.." I said, touching his cheek, seeing he was slowly going unconscious

I followed him,"Are you okay?"

Everything was a blurb.. Her... The ambulance, being rushed into surgery. I opened my eyes, looking around a stark white hospital room.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I just wish I didnt have these powers anymore honestly." I said, turning , and taking her hand. I kissed the top of her head softly.

I walked back into the hospital room, and my eyes widened when I saw he was awake, I quickly sat in the chair beside him, and I touched his hand gently. "Marcus.."

"Why?"I asked softly, looking up at him slowly. Did he mean that?

"Hey,"I said softly, squeezing her hand. I looked down at my body, feeling my heart sink. I was missing the bottom half of my right leg, my left arm was oddly casted and I wasn't sure if I was missing anything... Then my torso was wrapped.

I frowned when he looked down at his leg. This would be very hard.. he probably canr be a life guard anymore.. I saw how he was looking at his arm. "You're not missing anything on your arm.. it was just badly sliced." I said, softly and sadly. I ran my hand through his hair slowly as I kissed his forehead.

I looked up at her. "Its just very dangerous." I said. "Im just thinking it'd be easier without them.".. I said softly.

"What about the girl? Is she okay?"I asked softly.. Hopefully I didn't do this for nothing...

"Or maybe don't take such risks,"I said, shaking my head softly.

"Shes fine.. shes in the next room over." I said. "Youre a hero.." I said softly. "She got out of surgery this morning, doctors said that she will be out soon."

I nodded, and sighed softly. "Lets try to go a day without using them as much as possible." I said, and I sat on the couch, running my hands through my hair.

"Good... Good,"I whispered, nodding softly as I rested my head back and closed my eyes.

"Okay,"I said softly, kissing the top of his head as I sat beside him.

"They said that they may release you tomorrow if youre xoing well." I said, stroking his hand with my thumb. "How do you feel?" I asked .

I took her hand and pulled her into my lap. I placed a sweet kiss on her neck then looked up at ger, smiling slightly.

"Weak... It all hurts badly... Could you ask someone for some pain medicine?"I asked, looking up at her with a sigh. I was dizzy and cold, tired and in pain... It felt like hell.

I have him a gentle smile, kissing his forehead.

"Of course.. Hang tight.." I said softly, quickly getting up and telling the nurses that he needed pain medicine. They nodded and got some for him right away, when they left, I walked back in, and I sighed. "I'm so sorry.. I wish I could do something to help. I feel awful.." I said.

The next morning, I opened my eyes, and I pulled Carter close to me, kissing her neck gently and lovingly. "Wakey wakey.."

"There's nothing you could have done... Nothing any of us could have done,"I said with a shake of my head, sighing softly.

I opened my eyes and groaned,"Wwwhhhhaaaaaattt?"

A few weeks passed, and he was being released, finally. He was on crutches for a bit untill he got his prosthetic. I opened my car door for him and helped him inside. His wounds were almost completely healed, thank god.. I had felt that our relationship damaged a bit during all of this, but I was not going to nag and complain. He helped me, time for me to help him.

"What does the fox say?" Then I began to tickle her, laughing softly. I loved annoying her sometimes, it was great.

I couldn't drive... Ride my bike... Swim... Hell I couldn't even walk right. I thanked her when she helped me into the car and rubbed my eyes, staring at the place where my knee sat, nothing below it,"Where are we going?"

I squealed and screamed, tossing around my arms and elbows,"Quit! Ahhhh!!"
