A smile was still present on his face. His blush seemed to deepen when she brought up how she liked it. Then, the thought of a picture caused his face to take on an ugly frown. "I would rather people not know I have a soft spot for you. I can't let people know you're my greatest weakness. You know, I do everything I can to impress you, right?" As he head rested against her legs, he plopped it into her lap and gazed up at her, a dreamy look in his eyes.
"Do you ever... foresee... us... together?" A serious expression played on Aiden's face as his yellow-green eyes peered longingly into hers. There was a waver of fear that streaked through his eyes, which caused his lips to twitch into a frown. "I know I've made my mistakes, but... I've... I've been trying." Reaching up, Aiden stroked her cheek with his thumb. A painfully sad look was now flickering in his eyes, making it evident that he was sorry for all the pain he'd caused her. "I lost track of what I was looking for. I thought I knew. But I didn't. All I wanted was you. And I couldn't see it. Instead, I fucked around and got friend-listed. I've finally hit the ground. I can now see that I messed up. I... I choose this path because... because... I didn't want to change. I didn't want to be... weak... in your eyes."
-
"Perfect!" Vega exclaimed, clasping her hands together. 'Me. A violinist for a wedding...' It was then when she began to daydream. It wasn't normal for her to go so far with her abilities, even though it was just a small wedding. She snapped out of her dreamland when he mentioned the probability of Mary refusing his proposal. Crossing her arms and clicking her tongue, she then stated, as she cocked her head to the side, "You told me that both of you went through thick and thin together. Why would she say no?"
'The moon and the stars. How quaint,' she thought, smiling. She didn't want anything too flamboyant, otherwise the proposal would be buried under the extra effects and all that. The remark of Mary being freed from the crimes she was wrongly accused of sparked Vega's interest, but she didn't want to press him. 'It's wonderful to see the one you love with a smile on her face.' A warm smile touched her face as she looked up at Ryota, who had suggested a poem. Not wanting to leave him out of the loop, she then suggested, "Why don't you say a few lines from the poem? Just a few. Nothing too much."
In the few minutes which they talked to each other, Vega began to feel at ease with Jaden. It was obvious that he didn't mean no harm when he placed his arm around her. "You don't need to apologize. It is kind of unusual for me to be this friendly to you, too, considering how introverted I am with total strangers," she mused, which kind of mirrored what Jaden had said.
'Gosh, maybe I really am somewhat like him.'
-
Ryota was taken by surprise when Jaden had given him a rather large hugr, he smiled softly as he hugged him just as tightly back, keeping himself in check. "You say you know not what to say to her but you have as much of a silver tongue as i do." he laughed as he let him go, flinching since his head was starting to ache greatly from the hangover that he had gotten from the family party he went to before school had started up again. The smile slipped from his face as he saw that he lost his friend to the music that a girl was playing nearby on a bench. His violet eyes watched her play, he did have to admit that she had great talent in that area but he was not the music teacher just the art teacher, nothing more.
Of course Ryota had followed him, not seeing that it was right to leave him alone when in was in such a state, with out Mary around to keep an eye on him.
He ran a hand through his muilti-neon colored hair once more before he pulled it back into a ponytail, he watched the two interact for a long time, smiling softly as he saw how much a like they were. "A witch? Well then it is a very good thing i met you now." he said as he was pulled towards Vega, putting his arm around his friend as he held him close to his side, looking at his friend once more. "You should stop smiling before you break your face, my friend." He said in a serious tone of voice, only Jaden knew that he was just joking a little bit, but he was also serious since he knew how often the male angel smiled. "Mr. N would be fine for you to call me, Vega." he said to her as he inclimed his head slightly, letting Jaden slip from his arm eaisly as he just used his now free hand to hold on to his head once more.
"Jaden.....if you keep this up i will steal you away from Mary and keep you to my self. You shall be my little jailbird who will only sing to me." he whispered in his friend's ear, knowing that he would continue to talk with Vega for the time being until he would stop to reply to him. "Vega, how old are you? Oh you also must understand that, Jaden, here, well he only prefers sad music, sometimes." he chuckled, after all he does go out and party with the green eyed man, which was to more up beat music and sexually steemulating. "Jaden, you should also tell her about Mary since she knows nothing of her and would need more to work on then just your years of love for her." he said, a slight pained sound in his voice, his face serious as ever once more as he blinked and looked away slightly, his ultraviolet gaze restting on some unseen object as he let them talk a bit more, his words seeming to have faded into the background, just as he had, he knew that he should have been used to it. He couldn't help it, when he was with Jaden, without Mary around, he liked it when his attention was on him, considering they also have not been hanging out that much lately.
"I said that a poem is the best way to say what is in your heart when you don't know what to say......" he mumbled, his eye twitched a bit as his dark skin started to slowly gain a furry look to it before he noticed and made it look like skin once more, he was now standing a bit away from them as if he wasn't even a part of the two talking. "Ah, Vega, my little witch, you see the poem comes from the heart and only Jaden can wirte it. But here is a bit of the poem i had said to him........
For you my sweet angel I would die
I'd pick all the stars from the sky
And give them all just for you
To let you know how much I love you........ Like i said.....only he knows the poem to say to her, for you see that one is not for her." he said to her as he turnned his head back towards them, watching them once more as he forced a slight smile to his human face, shifting his weight, he was starting to become greatly uncomfortable in his human form, he wished that Mary would hurry up with the potion so that he could get rid of this hangover and go back to being a rabbit demon.

She smirked lightly before raising an eyebrow. "I'm your greatest weakness?" she asked, though kept a small smile before tilting her head. The silver eyed alchemist hadn't noticed before. Him trying to impress her. She'd always assumed he was just being playful, or a change of heart sometimes. She felt flattered, and a bit ashamed of not having noticed before. Leaning don, she kissed his forehead softly. "If I didn't before, I'd have a hard time not knowing now. But, thank you.. You had succeeded quite a few times though, in impressing me."
She shifted a little to let him be more comfortable and listened. That was all she could do until he finished. He wanted to get things off his mind, so she would hear him out until the end. An array of emotions played on her face as his words sunk in. Taking his hand from her cheek, she kissed his knuckles before thinking.
He picked a hell of a time to tell her all this. But he said it. And now it was all clear. She could never stay mad at him. Especially not now when he looked so, sad and frightened. "In order.. I could see us together, if everything you said is true. I do like you, Aiden.. But yeah, I'd rather have be your friend and be around, than another girl to your list. At first, I didn't really care about you. You were such an arrogant guy I'd have choked myself if I ever fell for your tricks." She frowned, before her eyes stared down at him.
"Then, I got to know you, and you were still arrogant. But you were a good friend and you helped me out. Not sure when you wormed your way in, but damn you for it. I swear if you're just saying this for shits and giggles later, I'll kill you." She wouldn't be able to take it. Getting her hopes up only to be smashed for his enjoyment. He seemed serious and he wasn't one to go this far for some prank though, so.. She just leaned down and kissed him swiftly, and softly. Pulling back, she smirked down at him. "If you're saying the truth, there might be more where those came from."
"Besides, you could never be weak, Aiden. Unless you're drunk. Then it's just amusing at times. So you'll be good in my eyes." she teased, trying to lighten the mood but stating the truth about the first part.
-
Well, at least Lex didn't seem too off-put by his orientation. Although he didn't seem all too happy about it either. John decided to let it drop other than go into a argument about it. As Lex suggested to leave and pay a surprise visit to Aiden and Nerine, John got a small smile. It was a funny thought but he would never act on it. He was a bit confused however as why lex wanted to leave. He hadn't eaten up yet. John the finished off his meal before standing aswell. "Nope. Only been in the Magican Manision, Coutryard and the Garden," John replied with shrug. He then gave the other man a confused look. "Pardon?" It could have been the accent that made him miss what Lex had said next... or he had zoomed out for a moment.
Then he saw a red-haired man walking into the room. He recognized the man from earlier in the garden when the fire vortex had appeared. He thought Aiden had called him Levi and that there was some jealously about some girl. John gave the nod as he explained that he was picking up some food to someone. It was nice to see someone caring for their sick friend like that. "When and where?" he then simply asked.
-
[[ Levi came from
here. ]]
Wandering down the hallway, he wondered just where Ember's room was. Letting out a heavy sigh, he rested his hand against one of the doors that decorated the dreary looking hallway. Leave it to Jaden to make this place look like a dungeon, he chuckled to himself.
-
"Do you honestly think I would go this far just to get in your pants? Besides, that's too low for me. I only go after those who lust for me. You never had an interest, so I just screwed around with those who seemed to give a damn. I guess most people just liked the idea of being with a 'celeb.' Being popular and all, I guess that's what I've been called from time to time...."
Although his serious mood didn't adjust, her truth was enough to calm him. He heard somethings he didn't want to hear, but he took them with the good. He wasn't perfect. He knew that. He knew he was just a slutty guy that found pleasure in conquering women. He also knew that Nerine was not the kind of woman to fall for such a guy, which might have been why he was trying so hard to win her over. Not so he could screw her, but to prove that he was worthy of her time.
Sitting upright, he jumped to his toes. Offering his hand to her, he helped pull the woman up so that she, too, was standing. Head turned down toward the earth, he moved back toward the school. Things were getting awkward a little too fast. It was nice, but the feeling of love was fleeting. He couldn't keep this up. It was bad for his health, or so he believed.
"We probably ought to find John and Lexington. I would hate for them to think things that aren't true."
-
*Ember frowns suddenly, hearing a male laugh just outside her door. She knew that Tristan was still in the dining hall so it couldn't be him, but who would want to see her at a time like this? Aiden probably hated her guts, and Levi seemed too embarrassed to even talk to her right now...
She jumped off her bed, striding over to the door and opening it. She then blushed deeply, seeing that it Levi.*
Oh, it's you! What are you doing here? I didn't expect to have to talk to you for awhile after the...incident. People don't usually see me like that and I was mortified that you did. Do you know where I can get clothes that will morph with me? Tristan and I couldn't find the person that made his....
-
"Well then that's a good thing. I wasn't proved wrong and you aren't a lost case." She wasn't sure how to even deny any of what he said. It was right for the most part. He was never one to really hide what he did, or who he did it with. It didn't bother her so much. Hell, she didn't care how his reputation was. Normally, sometimes it'd bother her if all a guy was after was sex. But, at least Aiden had some type of standards. She did feel horrible for never having realized he was actually interested. Maybe it'd been for the best. Whatever it was, now it changed some things. What it changed, she wasn't sure.
Brushing off some grass once she was helped up, Nerine frowned. She'd almost forgotten about the two. There would have to a few apologies to the two boys. She'd felt a bit guilty for basically running out on them. Even if she had promised to be back and warned them before leaving to find Aiden. "They could still be in the dining hall.. If not, they couldn't get too far. They're new, and they don't exactly know many places." At least she hoped they wouldn't stray far.
-
Lexington chuckled seeing his look, "I'm not upset by your orientation by the way, it doesn't bother me. I've seen many of that orientation and been friends with them." He looked at the red head boy, "Pleasure to meet you, I'm Lexington. And we could help you look for her if you'd like. Or maybe we can help in some way." Lexington felt a duty towards helping others, he might be strict on keeping to his mission but he enjoyed helping those in need.
"Feel up to it John?" He looked at the blonde, he was enjoying being treated normally, for a split second he almost felt like his markings weren't there. "Who is Ember by the way?"
-
"Mr. N?" Vega asked, a chuckle escaping her lips. She felt as if 'Mr. N' wasn't enough. "I don't know... Mr. N sounds funny to me," she mused, trying to keep the giggles from erupting. No one in her life has been called after a letter. It might sound stupid to other people but Vega thought it was funny. 'Funny. We will be getting along just fine,' Vega thought as she covered her smiling mouth with her hand. She didn't mean any harm whatsoever; she only thought that it was humorous.
Answering Ryota's question, Vega said, "I'm seventeen and I understand. I do, sometimes, listen to sad music. But it doesn't hurt to have some variety now and then." She then wondered what other kinds of music Jaden listens to, other than the somber music he usually listens to.
All throughout their conversation, Vega couldn't help but notice a few things. She knew that Ryota was very uncomfortable whenever Jaden talked about Mary and that he was awfully close to Jaden. She would admit, the first time she laid eyes on them, she had thought that they were lovers. But now that she knew that Jaden was going to ask Mary to marry him, it wasn't hard for her to feel sorry. 'It must be heartbreaking to see the one you love with someone else,' she thought, wringing her hands. She had also noticed that he was also uncomfortable with something else. 'It is as if he wants to get rid of his skin. Why is that?'
As Vega listened to the poem, she could feel her heart beat accelerating. It was one of the sweetest poems that she has ever heard. It would be a nice touch to the proposal, but, like Ryota had said, it would be better if it came from Jaden's heart. And soul.

John gave Lex a nod. It was good to find an open minded person. He then looked back at Levi suddenly remembering that he hadn't introduced himself. He blushed a bit at his own lack of manner before properly introducing himself to the Levi. "I'm John Jones and I'm a magican," he replied. He then turned back to Lex and gave him a nod. "Yeah sure," he said. He then shrugged his shoulders as he didn't knew who Ember was. "Dunno who Ember is," he then added. He got up from his seat and picked up the plate and looked around for somewhere to place the dishes. After a moment he saw where he should go and started walking over there. He then gave Lex a glace. "Shall just take care of the dishes."

*Tristan strolled into the Dining Hall, frowning a little as he heard two males talking about Ember. She had attracted some sort of attention earlier it seemed, when they should have been laying low.*
"Ember is my charge, and I would greatly appreciate if you left her alone. She's locked herself in her room to avoid having another outburst and any emotional interference will leave you burned...."
-
John turned to look at the golden haired guy. He had seen him with that woman earlier. The way he described Ember as his charge confused John a bit as he had thought they were siblings. The guy seemed to be rather annoyed with them talking about her too. It also seemed strange that emotions would be dangerous for Ember. Perhaps it had something with her powers to do. "Dude, I'm not going to bother her. Never thought about doing it," John said with a shrug.
-
*Tristan chuckled as he noticed the confusion on John's face. Many people did not understand his explaination of what Ember was to him because they looked so much alike that they could be twins.*
"An easier way to put it is that we are the same person, but we occupy two bodies. I'm almost like a familiar...to put it into even simpler terms for you."
*Suddenly he remembered something very important, snapping his fingers.*
"You were with that scounderel Aiden in the garden earlier, correct? If so, then you may remember that the young woman who looks like my sister started that fire..."
-
John looked at boy. He knew what a familiar was, it had stood of them in his mother's spell book. They were however called spiritus familiaris in it. The golden haired guy didn't look like a animal though... When the familiar snapped his fingers and told John about Aiden and what had happened earlier, John felt he should defend Aiden a bit.
"Aiden ain't that bad. Your sister started that fire? Can understand why she wants to stay away... was a rather embarrassing outcome," John then replied.
-
*Tristan shrugged when the male defended Aiden, neither disagreeing nor agreeing. He was a bit biased when it came to Aiden because of his earlier flirtation with Ember and what Levi had told them, but he did not actually care as long as he stayed away.*
"Her emotions fuel her powers...and our birthday is the worst. Not just because it is one of the days when her powers are strongest, but also the day that holds the most pain for us. Our parents abandoned us ten years ago today for reasons we cannot remember and she had become panicked because she thought Levi was leaving her as well...."
*He sighed*
"She has never morphed back in front of outsiders before and we cannot find her clothes that can morph with her like mine, so the outcome was unavoidable."

Mary came out of the elevator in the alchemist dorm, not passing many students along the way. She opened the large wooden front doors to the dorms, propping them open with the door stopped to allow some fresh air to fill the dorm. Her deep brown eyes with the red center searched around the courtyard for just a minute before finding Ryota and Jaden had moved. Making haste she moved towards the two boys.
"So sorry Ryota!" She said taking his hand and placing four vials into his hand. "They are all natural, but very bitter tasting. I seem to have taken these by accident and left the others you like at my home. Use these until I get the chance to head home." Mary told the rabbit demon with a smile. Hoping he would not mind too much. They were better than nothing after all.
It was then Mary noticed the boys had been speaking to a girl with a violin. A young students by the looks of her. "Hello deary. My name Mary Post." She introduced herself to the girl. Still slightly out of breath. She had to search her mind a bit before realizing which student she was speaking to. "You must be Ms. Vega du Bois. You play the violin? one of my favorite instruments." Mary said to the girl. Casting a sweet smile to Jaden. Although did not wish to frighten another student by showing any more affection towards the man.
-
Mary stopped just as she reached the door. Realizing one very important thing. Ryota would need more than one. She went back to her shelves, looking threw as she pulled out a couple of more bottles. Leaning down and making a small note to re-stock the remedy bother Jaden and Ryota called for quite often. Although she had a feeling most of her stock was in her home. After a bit more time, maybe even longer than she expected, Mary finally left her room, heading back outside towards the courtyard.

Afon nodded when Lex wanted to just leave. He honestly shrugged too. Afon was trying to help the guy, and nothing. Perhaps later. He strolled over to Lapis. "I was going to have you meet someone, but he had to go." Afon said with a slight childish shrug. "Sorry about bothering you. So would you like me to go, or would you like to tell me about your summer?" He said, not meaning it in a rude way. In fact he laughed slightly after the question.
He said with a small smile. Raising a hand up to rub the back of his head.
-
The mocha colored male raised a eyebrow at the young girl, thinking about what she said as he kept a serious look on his face, the only reason he went by Mr. N with the students is because that was easier for them to remember then his whole last name. He knew that it was amusing since the only other person that went by a letter was Professor X but he was long dead, and he was a fictional character also. He didn't mind that she was smiling or that she wantted to laugh at it, after all he knew laugther was the best type of medicine that there was.
"Seventeen........hmmmmm....." he said as he thought about seventeen years ago, trying to see if there was a possibilty that Mary had been pregnant, but quickly dismissed it since she was a witch and had no ability like Jaden or Mary. He shiftted uncomfortably again, rubbing his head once more as his eyes were locked on Mary's dormitory, watching for her to come out, that was when he saw her. A relieved look came onto his face as he tugged the white hood up over his muilti-neon colored hair as his ultraviloet eyes got a cautious look on his face. "That is all right, Mary. As long as they work." he said to her as she came up to them, he gave her a smile, taking the vials from her and unstopping them so that he could drink them quickly to get out of his human form as fast as he could and to get rid of the headache as fast as he could also.
"Ah thank you very much, my friend. Now i can get out of this itchy shape." he said to her as he seemed to shiver, his clothes turnned into a robe while his face was now looking like his normal rabbit face with black fur and a hint of neon designs. He also shrunk to his normal five eleven height, a true anthro rabbit demon once more, glad that no one but his friends and Vega had seen the change that he had just went through, you could see him slid his wand back up his sleeve.
-
“Type?” Mai asked tilting her head slightly. When she realized what he meant she blushed slightly. “Oh, well I’m a Katayan. Most of the people from my clan are Siberian tiger weres. My form is that of a white Siberian tiger.” She listened to him and was getting curious. She had heard mention of taniwha when she was very young, but didn’t know anything about them. “That’s interesting, what kind of dragon? Though even if you told me I probably still wouldn’t have any idea since I’ve never seen a dragon before.” She laughed at herself and smiled. What she really wanted to ask was why he didn’t shift into anything else other than a dragon, but figured that might be too personal of a question to ask him since they just met.
-
He had heard of those types of tigers, so he smiled. "I see." He normally never had been around any weres. Unless they were lunch. That fact, he would omit. No need to freak anyone out just yet. "Um.. I don't know. It's, a dragon form.. I wouldn't know how to describe unless I showed you. So, we're both in the same boat about not seeing one.." he said, offering an apologetic smile. He knew that would probably confuse her. "I could change into a few different types of sharks. I believe one of them is a hammer head. Along with a few other water stuff. But it's harder.. Hard to get a handle on them and study." he explained, smiling. It was then his stomach rumbled.
Almost blushing from embarrassment, he tilted his head. "Would you like to get some food? Or, did you have something else to do?" Then, growing concerned, he frowned. "I didn't keep you from anything, did I?"
-
"I understand. Sorry about your parents" John replied to the golden haired boy with an sympathetic tone. His knowledge of shapeshifters were quite limited. The only shifters he knew of was werewolves and he had never even met one. He didn't knew shifters had powers besides physical augment. "Didn't knew shifters had powers," he then pondered.
-
*Tristan laughed loudly, grinning. He never had been able to explain what they were and what that meant, and it delighted him that he finally could.*
"Phoenixes do, because their main power is pyrokinesis. They shift only to fit in with the environment around them, and any emotional upsets send them back into their original form. It is a pity that they are so rare here on earth..."
-
Vega then looked up at the woman who had arrived. She looked exasperated, as if she had hastily looked for something. 'Her eyes are brown,' she noted. Unfortunately, she still hadn't met anybody with eyes like hers: one green and one blue. 'It would be nice to meet someone like me, but no bother. The people before me are nice and I wouldn't want to lose them.' Before she knew the woman's name, it was obvious to Vega that she was the Mary that Jaden would propose to that night. She warmly smiled and nodded, saying, "Thank you. Nice to meet you, Miss Post." At the mention of the violin as her favorite instrument, Vega couldn't help but sneak a glance at Jaden and be reminded of the conversation that they just had. 'How coincidental,' she chuckled. The day that she arrives at Occultia Academy is the day that Jaden would propose to his lady love. And it so happens that she loves the violin.
"If you want, I could teach you," Vega offered, looking over at her violin. She would be happy to teach others how to play her beloved instrument. It would take some time, to be honest. But it if meant to have someone who was as interested in the violin as she was, then she would do anything. So far, she hadn't seen anyone who could play a violin, or rather, a different instrument.
Vega gasped as Ryota changed into his true shape, not because she was frightened, but because no one had bothered to tell her about this. 'Now that I think about it, I'm not fully sure what Jaden and Mary are. How was I supposed to know that Ryota was a rabbit demon?' Looking at his true form, she then added, 'It might take some time for me to get used to this.' "I take it that that is your true form?" She asked, eyeing the black fur and the striking neon designs.
-
"Phoenix? Cool, never heard of someone who can shift into that," John said with a curios expression. That did explain what had happened in the Garden better. He didn't want to get on Ember's bad side. Would be difficult to avoid though as he didn't knew how she looked like.
-
Lapis blinked. "My summer?" He thought back to his activities for the last few months. All in all, it had been a pretty good summer. He hadn't even gotten arrested! Oh there had been one or two close calls, but apparently Massachusetts police couldn't run very fast. "It was pretty good. I found this," He held up his hand, showing off the hammered gold bracelet on his wrist. By 'found' he of course meant 'acquired'. He chose not to say this though, since humans tended to get weird about things like that.
Cocking his head to one side, Lapis regarded Afon. His earrings jingled softly from the movement. "What did you do in the summer?" He also gestured for the human to sit down.

"Interesting shift form, alas I am boring and only shift into a wolf like most shapeshifters I suppose." Lexington's wolf was a bit different than a normal one due to his curse but he rarely brought that up as he did not exactly like his "situation".
Lexington watched and listened facinated by the conversation. "So just a random question since you seem knowledgable, would you happen to know where I might find information on past students?"
Lexington brought it up casually as to not draw attention to himself too much. He fiddled with his lip ring a bit hoping to get some help.
