The Knight.

"I love you too.." I whispered. I looked away. "I can't be pregnant... I'm going to Julliard in the fall, I can't.." I took a minute to control my breathing. "I don't want to have the baby of the guy who raped me.."

"Then we will figure it out.. and just stay calm right now okay? He said you might be, not that you are.." I whispered, and I kissed her lips gently.

I closed my eyes and kissed him back slowly, my hand resting on the back of his neck. I slowly pulled away and looked into his eyes. "I'm sorry for being mean to you that night.." I whispered.

I shook my head. "You were hurting, I shouldn't have been so touchy after something like that." I said, and I sat up slowly.

I looked up at him. "I'm still sorry." I whispered, watching him sadly.

"Its okay." I said, looking at her. I leaned over and I kissed her cheek. "Im going to go get you a burger okay? You look like you need one." I said softly, then I winked as I got up

"I'm not hungry." I whispered, looking away. I slowly stood up and I slapped my hand over my mouth, running to the bathroom. I pulled for the third time that day. I brushed my teeth and went back to bed. I saw the concerned look on Charnley's face. "I'm fine, really.."

"Youre not.." I said, and I helped her in the bed , and I got her comfortable. I sat back down in the chair and I looked down, what would we do?..

I looked out the window and I began to cry again. "Why did this have to happen?" I whispered. The door opened and my lawyer came in. "We used the DNA... And we found who it was. We arrested him and his friend this morning."

"Shh.." I said, and I kissed her forehead. I looked up at the lawyer. I had to get to that police station. "Ill be back, okay?" I said softly, and I kissed her cheek and I ran out the door. This fucker is going to get it.

I was so confused. Where is he going? And why? I looked at the lawyer. "How long will they be on prison?" The lawyer shrugged. "That'll be the judge's decision.. You'll have to go to court sweetheart."

I was at the police station. I knew this place inside and out from the high school classes ive taken here. I stole an detectives badge and slipped it around my neck and I walked into the station. I then checked the files in the investigation room. Where was he.. I looked up as an officer walked in. "Detective Morgan?" The officer asked, I nodded, looking down at my badge. I was him. For now. "Your questioning this man right?" He then shoved in a man. With a scar on his face. I nodded. "Yes." He then walked out, and left me with this monster. "Sit." I ordered him.

My uncle Nova and my grandparents came to visit me. "Where's Charnley?" My grandmother asked. "I don't know.." I said, now getting worried. I tried calling him, but he didn't answer.

I questioned the man, as asked, knowing what to ask and how to ask .. then before I walked out, I slammed his head onto the table. "You raped my fucking girlfriend. You Better watch yourself." I said, and dropped my badge and quickly left the station.

When Charnley finally came back, I sighed in relief, standing up wearily. "Where the hell were you? I was worried.." I said softly.

"I had to take care of some things." I said bluntly, and I hugged her softly. "Sorry.. I didn't mean to scare you." I said.

I hugged him back tightly, closing my eyes. "What did you do?" I whispered in his ear.

"Gave someone a warning." I replied, and I sat her back down onto the bed. "Dont worry."

I looked up at him, frowning deeply. "Warning........" I looked away. "When is the court date?" I asked my lawyer. "Next week."

"Yes.." I mumbled, and I looked at the lawyer. They should have some good files on me questioning this guy. It eas incredibly easy to do so also.

That next week came and it was court day. I got dressed in a nice dress and I put my hair up. I was so nervous. I was about to come face to face to the guy that raped me.

I sat in the back of the courtroom, they would never notice ne back here, the officers. She knew I was here, and they wouldn't let me sit with her when she testified.

I walked in and sat next to my lawyer. I saw my father eyeing the man with pure hatred. My mother was gripping his hand to keep him from lunging at the man. The judge told me to describe what happened, and I did with great detail. Then the lawyer showed the DNA evidence, then my doctor came. "Young Autumn is pregnant." He announced. I looked down at my stomach, tears stinging my eyes. No... Please no.. "For further proof, you'll have to give a fraternal test."

"Shit." I breathed, qnd I stood, and I walked down the isle, an officer grabbed me. "Let him go, its detective Morgan." Another officer said. "Im not him." I said, shaking the cop off. "You questioned the suspect." He said. "No. No I didn't." I said. Then the officer played the tape, me there, questioning the man. It cut out at the part where I slammed his head on the table and warned him. "Get on the stand." I was ordered, and I slowly did so.. "Tell us what you asked him." They said. I quickly told them everything, looking at Winter here and there. I knew I would get in trouble for this..

I was so shocked at everything. "That's a felony, impersonating an officer." The judge said. I shook my head, over and over. "What the hell Charnley?" I heard my dad yell. I got up. "Excuse me your honor. I would like to request a recess." "Very well." The judge said. I walked out of the court room and went outside. I was hyperventilating. This can't be happening..

I was pulled aside by the officer in charge. "You handled this case well." He said. "But.. I imper-" I began. "I know, but you did a damn good job , and, I want you on my force. The way you got answeres from him was outstanding. Call me." He said and handed me a card. What just happened? I quickly ran outside to Autumn. "Hey.. calm down.." I said, and I took her hand ..

"Charnley, I'm fucking pregnant and you committed a felony!" I gasped. A major anxiety attack was coming on. "I.. Can't.. Do.. This.." I said in between breaths.

"Babe.. please, you need to calm down." I said. "The officer back there covered me. Okay? And that means I can be here with you, okay?" I said, sitting her down on a bench.

I put my head in my hands, trying to calm down. "Oh god I'm pregnant.. What am I going to do?"

"We will discuss your options later babe.." I said, taking her hand, and I kissed it gently, seeing she was slowly calming down.
